  • We're going to repeal all exercise bikes. After that we will replace all the bikes with our Hyperion branded bikes. You can only get an exercise bike through Frank's email. All old bikes will be burned for energy, because that's how energy works.

  • "And remember, you'll always be the MMMHMHMMHMMMHHMMMMMMMHHM."

I love the scene and served as a reminder why Batman is a hero and why he is doing this. My only nitpick is that the Batman's lips wasn't moving in the scene, kinda ruining it slightly.

  • General episode Thoughts:

    • Was the personality of Wesker's sock supposed to be Scarface? Usually his different puppets have different personalities.

    • Of course he'd be "John Doe." He hasn't gotten his "true name" yet. And we're already getting a sense of just what kind of chaos he might eventually unleash on Gotham from the way he's reacting to what's going on with Harvey and the Children of Gotham.

    • Does "John" know Bruce is Batman? He seems to really imply that he knew, which was part of why he was so keen on seeing Bruce go up against Vicki. He also seems to have a better idea of what's going on then anyone else...was he close to Vicki somehow?

    • In light of the subtext present throughout Batman and Joker's relationship, Joker being all pally with Bruce actually makes some sense.

    • That moment when you see that Harvey will remember something, only it says "Two-Face will Remember That" now...

    • I really have to wonder how Bruce is going to save his public image at this point given how far it's fallen. The only thing that could probably do it is exposing Oz and the fact that he was drugged.

    • I was really expecting a lot more from Selina in this episode. Having her just up and leave, even after I've romanced her, just felt like a let-down, though I'm sure she'll come back in a big way for the finale. And where's that kiss we saw in the trailer?

    • Vicki is like the perfect foil for Bruce. She was born into an old, wealthy, family of Gotham and her parents were murdered, just like Bruce, but while Bruce had Alfred to look after him and was able to take the tragedy of his parents murder as a drive to do good and help the people in Gotham, Vicki was apparently sent into an abusive foster family and became consumed with hatred and a desire for vengeance.

    • Heh. Batman doesn't even have Robin yet and he's still getting his butt saved by kids. I really liked that scene though, with Batman being able to comfort the boy. It did feel kind of Robin-esque, especially with the way Bruce seemed keen on taking care of him, though I'm not sure if that kid will end up growing into Telltale's Robin, rather then using any of the comic Robins. Unless he is one of the comic Robins, just with a different name and race...unless he's Duke Thomas, but he's only kind of technically a Robin in the comics so...

    • Now that we've actually seen the current Commissioner in the flesh, and seen he's just another obstructive bureaucrat, I'm betting he's going to end up dead by the end of the season and Gordon will be able to take his rightful position in the GCPD.

    • Harvey really doesn't use his coin that much...

    • So is Penguin going to have a limp now, that'll force him to waddle like a Penguin ala Gotham!Penguin?

    • The final fights were all fairly satisfying in their own way. We finally got to give Penguin the beating he's been asking for all season, and we also finally got Batman vs. Two-Face (which is all the stronger with a scarred Harvey). I found the latter a little more satisfying overall, at least because it ended on a note of stopping Harvey, possibly saying you still believe in him, and Gordon carting him off to Arkham/Blackgate, which felt more like a win compared to stopping Penguin. Who knows what's going to happen to Oz after you leave him tied up or knocked out for the police. Though you can also probably rebuild Wayne Manor.

    • Definitely going to be interesting to see how the different choices effect how the story in episode 5 plays out. Either way we have to stop Lady Arkham's plans, but in one scenario we've got to also find out if Alfred's okay and deal with Two-Face as well, while on the other we've got no gadgets and Penguin and Lady Arkham together to carry out their plan.

    • I hope Bruce is able to get his company back and expose Oz by the end of the season, giving him a proper comeuppance.

  • I think the sock was socko

  • When I played after I finished him at the Manor, I said, "I still believe in Harvey Dent" as Batman and I swear I saw something in him that looked like he was going to try to change for the better. He sounded really sincere when he responded and I felt that he genuinely still looked up to Batman even after the arm incident. Only problem is I had to sent him to Arkham in hopes of him mentally recovering but its also like 10x more dangerous so who knows if anything will actually change.

Harvey becomes evil no matter what choices you made. I feel very, very sorry for those who were rooting for him. What a total shitshow from

  • This might not be the most economical approach, but I prefer to buy their games on both Steam and iOS. I like both gameplay types, and like supporting TT. It also makes it super easy to keep to very different saves, where I make what I feel are the "best" choices on one game, and the exact opposite choices on my other game. I do this with every TT game, and I feel like I get the most out of their games this way.

Did you copy your file and then restart? Yea that seems to be a problem if you do that... should copy the file BEFORE you play it the firs

  • I thought that Buckbuster needed some of his super enhanced drug to keep him functioning. He doesn't look brain damaged more like he is suffering a drug withdrawal.

  • Bruce has to get Wayne Corp. back otherwise there is no more Batman. The achievements titled "executive decision" refers to that no doubt, and once Oz has been exposed as the criminal he always was then Bruce will take back the reins.

  • To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. After the amazing trailer and good early impressions from the people on the forums I expected more. That Selina cameo felt really weak, Harvey going super evil no matter what, Montoya returning to her job even if she resigned (what was the point of her resigning then?), just ehhh... On the other hand, the ending was great (both of the final fights are really well done) and Joker was actually really cool (but him knowing about Vicki makes me nervous that they'll make him the main villain at the end).

Overall, 7/10. Hopefully the finale is better.

Btw, I wonder how are they going to justify arresting Penguin (if the police is really going to arrest him). Because for all they know, with Oswald's record being so clean, Batman just randomly decided to go to Wayne enterprises to beat up its CEO. Or maybe I missed something? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • You are absolutely right something's not quite right there. Batman has not reached the point when the police just does as he says.
And I hope Selina will be back in Ep5, I feel the ramifications of the apartment scene in Ep3 have yet to materialize, particularly when Bruce says that he believes in her and she remembers that. I mean I can't be the only one noticing some serious character buildup that need to amount to something, Selina questioning her life, her purpose......Something has to come out of all this in Episode 5.

  • They might find the Children of Arkham goons hanging around, knocked out, at the company, who could either squeal on Penguin or indicate that someone (that person being Oz) gave them access to Wayne Enterprises.

Not to mention the Penguin mask is still in his office, which might "out' him as The Penguin unless people are willing to believe that Batman is trying to frame him.

  • Does it say "Two Face will remember that" if his face isn't deformed? I didn't notice. I have one save where he's basically Two Face and another where he really isn't, aside from the burns introduced on this episode.

  • Selina's scene was made in a hurry, it could have been so much better.

  • I agree. But if you said to her she should leave the exchange is much more natural and better written, cute actually. She actually looks like a decent human being in the text messages.

Hopefully she will be back in a big way in Ep5, I mean I'm sounding like a broken record but something more has to come out of the Selina-Bruce romance than a rather tame one night stand without any character development.

  • Is it really a glitch ? Or some choices by Telltale ?
But then there is that kiss from the trailer....

Anyway it's really not the end of the world I just hope the remaining narrative arcs will be well concluded, but my expectations are low.

  • I liked this episode a lot, especially the Joker's introduction (I think he'll only do something big in a possible Season 2 though) and the action scene in the end (both against Penguin or Two Face). The only thing that bothered me was the episode length, I felt like after leaving Arkham everything happened too fast. I'd like every episode to have at the very least 90 minutes of duration.

  • So if in Ep 3 you tell her to leave Gotham she sends you more messages instead of the scene with her?

Yes if you put her safety first she is actually likeable. It's a really cute exchange. If I was Telltale I would have made sure Bruce also asks her if everything is fine on her end.
