Somewhere along the lines, this became "The Hipster Thread".
I like popular things too. I swear. Uh. I liked Grand Theft Auto.
I should probably avoid the movie topic for the most part, though Shawshank Redemption is fantastic.
"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder." James 2:19
Instead, I prefer something that makes a statement: "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" John 14:6 Let's start with that.
I think Batman is horribly overrated.
The Harry Potter books and movies irritate the crap out of me.
I'm a Christian who believes in God. (This one's a doozy for a LOT of people.)
OH GET READY FOR THIS, GATHER AROUND KIDDIES! Guess what? I consider The Wolf Among Us a severe disappointment. HEAR ME OUT; I love TWAU, th… moree graphics and visuals are outstanding, the characters were great and memorable, and the choices were nail-biting. However, it seemed as production progressed, they decided to throw in new stories out of the blue, like the Episode 3 splash-card left us with the possibility that we could have a car chase with Crane, and I was to believe that Bluebeard would take over in Episode 4, again via the splash-card, however, well, on my playthrough, that is, I saw NONE of that happen. What happened in their places were good, but don't change our expectations. And my other problem with it was that it got shorter, shorter, and shorter as it progressed, again, leaving out some other potential story arcs/twists. Hell, even the FINALE was short, before I knew it, it was over. But as usual, in a cliffhanger. At least giv… [view original content]
Mostly, it's intended as a public service. Less about the individuals posting (not true in all cases), and more about hopefully providing some drop of levity, or even of those half snorts you make when something tickles your fancy but doesn't form a full laugh, in this sea of bland and dour observations on incest, memes, and the like (broad list, I know, but that just means my work's cut out for me). Eventually, I hope that any one of my posts, or a line in those posts, will give someone some happiness, even a fraction of the happiness I had while writing them.
Like sowing seeds in a field.
Like tossing a net into the sea.
Like posting a bunch of random comic fan trivia about yourself.
But who knows, I might take a break and actually post some "unpopular opinions" eventually. I mean, the subject of "unpopular opinions" was just a harsher way of saying "opinions unpopular enough that a majority do not already hold them." I mean, unpopular doesn't necessarily equal wrong.
But I owe you gratitude. Thank you; while I was mining through this thread for nuggets I could use, I had completely forgotten this was YOUR thread. So thank you, for reminding me. You didn't say it with words, but you did, all the same. This has been the most fun I've had on this site in a months, and I'm still digging.

I thick that an AMD and Nvidia 970 are just overrated.
* Now it is true that Nvidia… more 970 can tack the watcher 3 and greet fps and highest graphics around 40-50. But it can be done by Intel had graphics by rewriting the codding comments with the source matale. However it tack me 3 years. pain in the ass.
* In some laptops dedicated cards only have 256 video memory. That plays most games greet. However games like rise of the tomb reader. Intel HD graphics does bitter even thaw it is not as good in performance. That is many laptops have 1 gag of ram. Many can be upgraded to 8 if one knows how to unsoldered the laptop that is. For instance hp miner laptop p64 in 2013. Has 0 video memory. even upgraded to 8 gags still 0; The Intel HD source does not detect the hard souse of ram. You need to go to regedit or allow shard souse in the. So that overtime you restart windows you only have 6 gags o… [view original content]
I love that you felt the need to make a disclaimer that kids are not a disorder. I was never in danger of believing that humans in the childhood stage are abnormal just because they are young, but...hmmmphffff...thank you.
It's a good thing you put your disclaimer there, or some abnormal child might have been triggered, or some other such hipster nonsense. Oh, and since we're speaking with admirable clarity, I should point out that children, abnormal or otherwise (and who wants to be normal and boring anyway?), are most definitely NOT hipster nonsense.
Trigger warnings are hipster nonsense; glad we cleared that potential misunderstanding up. I wouldn't want to trigger anyone.
Considering you were recently skirting around pedophilia in your posts, knowing you'd gladly bang to a kid's song isn't something I'll easily forget, either.
I absolutely despise the terms "Mary Sue", "Gary Stu" and "Marty Stu". It's complete bullshit to hate someone for being "too perfect".
Mary Sues and other names for the same literary device are disliked for several reasons. Being too perfect is unrealistic, readers need imperfections to grab onto a well crafted character, to identify with him or her. Perfect in every way is perfect to an unlikely degree. A basketball needs dimples to be effectively dribbled and guided down the court. Take those away, and the ball would all too often slip from the players' hands. All good fictional characters must have flaws, they must. No person is loved by everyone all the time, no matter what. If authors want to insert themselves, and some have, into the superest of supercharacters that ever supered, that's their prerogative. But that is not a good character, that's a Mary Sue.
For instance, pulled off the top of my head, if a kid, constantly bullied at school with no friends who will stand up for him, reads a book about the most popular kid in school who never has homework problems, embarrasing moments in the lunchroom, and is the best at gym class, etc. that might be an uplifting goal...But where and how will that real kid latch on to that character. Where's the conflict, and subsequent overcoming of that conflict as a stronger person. The conflict, the flaws, are there so the character can dip down and pull the kid up. That's a character to which the reader can relate, a Mary Sue is not.
Pretty much anything I say.
Phff. That's a little melodramatic. Judging from this thread, pretty much everything you say is based around comic fandom. Not judging, each of us has their hobbies, but if you feel everything you say is passed over, then two ways to fix that are to change what you say, or change what the people around you want to hear. Up to you to decide which one you want most.

* … moreI like superheroes. I dunno if this is minor, but I've heard a shitload of people say they hate superheroes because they're "for kids".
* Anime is dull and boring as all hell.
* The Walking Dead tv show is overrated as shit.
* I like Kenny from TWD. I dunno if this is minor either, but I've heard so many people say they hate him because "Herpaderp, he ruined Lilly's life. Herpaderp, he yells and cusses too much. Herpaderp, he cares about people."
* I don't give two shits about Pokemon in general, and I wish people would shut up about it.
* I think Sarah was the best character from Walking Dead Season 2.
* I prefer the YouTube comments section over these forums.
* Rodrik Forrester > Asher Forrester.
* I think Barack Obama was one of the worst presidents of the USA ever.

I'm aware of that. Quite frankly I don't mind being in the minority. It's just a common situation that I find myself in that I find humorous. haha
I will still like something (or sometimes hate, depending on the subject), whether being in the majority/minority, that doesn't matter. So I agree whole heartedly.

Batman, like this thread, is indeed overrated.
I don't care about the Harry Potter universe.

I gathered around, but I got bored and left, so bye.

Curious, what's the

Is that something automatically printed? Never seen that before.
This probably isn't unpopular, but...am I the only hardcore Marvel and DC fan on these forums?
He's dyslexic, and I think it corrects spelling errors.

Truly, the anthem of the current generation.
W-what are you talking about? I was making a goddamn joke. And when was I skirting around pedophilia???
Also why the hell are you going through an entire thread's post history and replying to everybody's posts?
I guess i am in the minority with thinking that Assassin's Creed III is the very best Assassin's Creed Game!
But it is the best (-;
. @Bluebirdo can you stop spamming my feed by replying to old comments? K thanks.
This is probably not in my place, but here are some I'd recommend. These are in order from which you should get first to which you should get last:
I would say it's better than Unity, Rogue and Syndicate

I didn't enjoy watching Batman (1989) and The Dark Knight.
I am going to lock this thread, as per your request.
