I don't care what anyone says, this series is great and I'm not even a DC fan
True episode 4 wasn't as good as the earlier ones yet the introduction of Joker and the episode as a whole was great. I really let out my bad side while I was still poisoned, yet when I was cured, I pursued justice. Two face is going to get it next episode and don't worry, Lady Arkham is going to pay also.

Good for you. I'm glad to see other people enjoying the game.
Even though I myself despise this game and 3/4 of everything in it, I respect your opinion and I'm glad you're enjoying it and having fun. And I hope you continue to do so.
This is definitely turning into one of my favorite adaptations of Batman. One main reseaon for that is that Bruce is extremely realatable and Batman has these things called emotions.
The second-to-last episode is almost always underwhelming. It is some kind of curse on TellTale, I don't know.
I liked the episode very much by the way, but Episode 3 just set the bar very high so I can't say that Episode 4 reached the bar.
Yeah, the game is great. Shame about all those technical issues, I'm pretty sure the game would get a lot more love otherwise.
Yes that's why I'm liking it a lot too, we don't have the 100% emotionless badass Batman, we have a human Batman
I'm glad that alot of people are enjoying this game. Personally, I love it! I love the focus on who Bruce Wayne really is, outside of both of his personas. I love every single one of the main cast, and have enjoyed every moment utilized to interact with them, or view their development. I love the themes, and the many twists and turns. Sure, there may have been a few stutters, but episode five has the potential to be amazing. This will forever be one of my favorites, I can assure you that!
How can anyone dislike this series when Luscious has the voice of Lee E. At first I kept saying I know that voice, then it hit me lol. My friend is a die hard Batman fan and hates this series since episode 1 when the Waynes were found to be mobsters. He watched me play it, then said I'm not watching this garbage series anymore. I honestly like how in this version, Bruce is hated and his parents weren't saints. It's like TT can tread over the same beaten path or choice a new spin on Batman, I for one like that they chose the latter. I like how their deaths were due to a hit rather than a random mugging. I do like how Bruce must balance out Batman and his own life, a very Peter Parker/Spiderman move. I hope that they do a Punisher or Spiderman TT game in the future now.
I enjoy this game too. I wouldn't consider it one of my favorite Telltale games, but it's still a pretty interesting take on Batman and his mythology.
Agreed, this is easily becoming one of my favorite Telltale series, despite the numerous PC issues. While story is top notch, as always, I've just loved Telltale's take on these characters, especially with Oz, Vicki, and The Joker.
I like this game more than the arkham games on the story aspect, the arkham games were great but the storylines weren't anything to write home about
I'm not into comics at all, and love this game.
Bruce Wayne, Selina, and the Penguin would be somewhere in my list of favorite Telltale characters. The Joker cameo was fun too, but we haven't seen much of him yet.
I'm also loving the series. One thing that i've always had problems with about Batman is that you dont get to see enough of the Bruce Wayne side, this game has filled that void.
DUUUUUUUUDE!!! You just read up my mind. I was about to make the same thread when I got back. Batman became one of my favourite Telltale game series and I'm not even a DC fan, I didn't know much about Batman and Telltale just convinced me to learn more about him. Hell, I didn't even enjoy The Dark Knight movie, not saying it's bad, it just wasn't so interesting to me. )
I'm really enjoying it, the only part I don't like is Harvey dent. I hope catwomans back for the final episode (who am I kidding of course she will be)
I don't care what you say...I'm a DC a fan and this series is not very good...
I don't what you say...I'm not a DC fan and I love this series to death. Hehehe
Can you elaborate? I've seen you bashing the game before, can you explain why you despise it so much?
One, it has too many bugs and glitches on PC. Two, half of the characters are dull and forgettable. And three, it's completely unfaithful to the source material.
Unfaithful to the source material? Just because there are a few differences with some characters doesn't mean it's unfaithful, it's just doing something a little more different and interesting like every other different iteration of Batman. Calling it completely unfaithful is absurd.
As with all comic book universes, the source material is shoddy at best. People usually try to make something resembling a canon out of those, but it almost always ends up being an incoherent and disputable mess. I see no problem with Telltale giving the Batman universe a new direction and not just repeating a story heard a thousand times before from slightly different angles.
The characters being boring is your opinon. In my opinon, the only ones that fall a bit flat are characters that do follow Batman "canon", like Alfred.
The technical issues are very annoying though, especially the fact that they still aren't fixed four months after release.
I feel the same. This game is awesome and I don't understand the hate it gets.
I can't wait for episode 5. This series is fantastic with the added elements and the perfect QTE setup (finally as we know it was terrible in Season 2 Walking Dead and it was sub par in Wolf Among Us.)
Okay, any specific reasons? Do you just not like how the characters are being handled, or what?
I do not like the characters in general or the universe as a whole. I prefer Marvel much more. I love Baman, yet I'd be lying if I said I knew a good amount of his story and the bio of the villains.
I stopped being a DC fan when both the comics, animations, and movies failed to do anything positive or meaningful, plus the continuity was so messed up and even the events were pretty terrible. The only positive thing I did like is the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship, but that didn't last long and I was super pissed. I went full-on Marvel after that and stopped reading DC comics
This game however revived parts of my interest in DC again since we finally have something completely new. This is what WB/DC failed to do because they really have nothing new to offer in terms of character development and storytelling, and yet game companies are the only one that has succeeded in the DC properties. "Rocksteady" was the first to have done such and they have created a universe that has so much potential that it became its own universe. Now Telltale is following that trend and they've done it brilliantly that I've wondered if they would make an animated series
I still don't have any full-on love for DC, but this has revived back my interest in it
I know that there will be a season 2. It might be low selling now, yet a good number of people wait to buy a TT game in one package. Batman will be a top selling game when episode 5 is out. Unlike most, I didn't like Game of Thrones (the ending and confusing characters) and Tales from the Borderlands. I was losing my interest with TT, especially with that stunt with Walking Dead Season 2 being a huge letdown. When they announced Minecraft Story Mode, I almost entirely stopped caring about TT. I loved Minecraft Story Mode and thought that the Batman route was genius. Batman is now one of my favorite TT games.
Episode 4 was actually the best episode so far. Probably due you don't have to be pretentious with your dialogue choices.
I don't lie if the game allows me to tell the truth unless the dialogue option leads to lie without me knowing it beforehand. So I exposed the whole forced stepping down as CEO thing.
Meanwhile Cry's playthrough on Youtube is full of "butt kissing."
It's interesting to see a playthrough where a player constantly chooses to lie just to keep up appearances. The Penguin is basically pissing over your legacy, intentionally drop your memento and stuff like that. He should be punched, unless you go along with it like Cry who let himself to be used as door mat in-game.
You could argue it's to save Bruce Wayne's public face for his eventual return as company's CEO with good cleaned reputation but in the end the game doesn't allow that. The character gets drugged regardless and rumors will persist years how Bruce Wayne is insane and basically influenced his way to freedom from Arkham Asylum (which most of the citizens don't know much about.)
My Batman reacts like I would in situations. I did not punch Oswald and during the speech, I followed the words of the teleprompter to lead people on, then I added my own words, yet none of my words accused Oswald as being evil. If I had punched Oswald, I would have been escorted off the premises and he could have sued me with a witness by his side. That woman likes Bruce, yet to keep her board seat, she'd turn on him in a second. Oswald is the new current CEO and if I called him a terrorist then my stock numbers would drop with the share holders saying that Bruce has lost it. We know that Bruce will be drugged regardless now, yet we didn't know that then. In due time the Venom (that Bane uses) will probably be known to the public of how Batman stopped it from infecting Gotham. The people will know that Bruce was drugged with it and attacked Oswald, etc
But new marvel comics suck and so do the movies people argue about source material for dc and never hold those standards for marvel ultron was one of the worst movies I've ever seen and civil war was a complete shot show and it was very forgettable
I boycotted Marvel after I heard what they did to the old universe lol. I agree that typically the movies are bad.
They're typically enjoyable rather than flat out bad objectively speaking considering there's a good amount of effort put into most of them imo.
