The truth about social media.
I use social media, obviously, otherwise I would not be here on this website. After seeing these videos, it has me seriously thinking about getting off it all together.
So I decided to share these videos with you, so that you can see where I am coming from, and why you too may wish to consider getting off social media as well.
The choice is yours to make, but you cannot deny the information presented here is not thought provoking.
Listen, and decide for yourself.

I'm not watching these, I've heard the same thing over and over again. But I will share my opinion.
Social media can be a fun and good thing, there are just assholes who ruin it for everyone else. Personally I don't use Facebook anymore. Not because I think it's toxic or anything like that. I just got bored. My point is just because there are people who ruin it or others have had bad experiences with it doesn't mean you should stop using social media altogether.
Okay, I cannot stand Prince Ea and his bullshit. Not sure if I said his name right but whatever.
I have no problem with his videos, but I notice he always mentions "sources" without a links in the description of his videos because I would like to participate in discussions with topics that most of his vidoes tackle. I'm infuriated and disappointed that he says words upon words without a valid source because you can't trust someone by saying "Studies/Sources show that blah blah blah..."
About social media, I use it to keep contact with my family and peers really. Assholes would be around obviously because you can't eradicate them all completely.
When using sites like Facebook or whatever, people should always use caution on what you post and information you put online because social media (or the Internet) is a very public platform.
Well said.
Well I was never on social media really to begin with I just made an email and just browsed YouTube and those videos are kind of the reason I'm not on it I know it's just certain people but there are too many of those people that are jerks.
5 videos? You're nuts!
I thought it was both hilarious and sad the day Facebook banned me for using a fake name. They unbanned me after I supplied a less fake-looking name.
To be fair, I do appreciate the platform as a way to find information and updates on businesses. So I get its marketing value.
But using it as a primary way to socialize? Nah.
The moment you posted a Prince Ea video your whole argument lost all credit.
I used Facebook for a few years. It helped me find my best friend again after High School and Facebook helped me find my future fiancé as she had lived near me for quite some time. Other than that, I deleted it. Good riddance. I was stressed out by people putting their nose in my business on my wall constantly. I was tired of being harassed by my political beliefs that I kept in check. That was when it occurred to me that Facebook friends are not real friends. I had more fun talking to people on Xbox Live about gaming and coming here instead. Positive stuff, really. I also hated how on my Facebook news feed it would be nothing but negativity 24/7. I'm happier without it, honestly.
There's nothing wrong with social media as long as you don't abuse it like a psychopath.
I use Facebook as a way to be casually amusing,to promote some of my film projects, or get my thoughts out on movies, shows, or video games.
Please keep in mind that this is my personal opinion. I'm not going to go on an anti Facebook campaign lol. If others enjoy Facebook, then I'm happy for them.
I wasn't replying to you, but I respect your opinion. Facebook may not sit well with everyone and that's fine. I was more responding to the OP.
I don't really like social media, but I hate these people who are like "Social media is the end of human interaction/humanity in general!".
No, it fucking isn't. All I use social media for is to stay in touch with my relatives and to coordinate stuff with friends etc, and I'm pretty sure that many people, if not most, are using it that way nowadays. This isn't the mid 2000s when everyone was obsessed with Facebook etc, which people like "Prince EA" fail to realize. Back then it was new and cool, but that died down years ago. I mean, I also could drive ~1000km across the whole country if I wanted to ask my parents and siblings or my childhood friends how they are, but that seems counterproductive.
Ugh.
