Help me decide over some TT games.
A few years ago, I was introduced to TT with Walking Dead season 1. I got episode 1 for free eventually of Walking Dead and I enjoyed it yet shrugged it off. Nearly a year later, and after friends begging me to get episodes 2 through 5, I caved. I fell in love with TT and have bought and completed every game since season 1. Now I have heard that TT games before Walking Dead were low budget and mostly puzzle based. Are they worth getting and playing ? I've heard that Jurassic Park TT got bad review, etc, yet that Sam And Max seems popular. Should I play them if I hate puzzle games ? Minecraft Story Mode had puzzles in it and they were short, are early TT games that way ?

Jurassic Park was the first game of the more current model of story > puzzles.
If you hate puzzle games, I wouldn't advise playing anything from before Jurassic Park.
I have not played M:SM, but I highly doubt they were anything like their old games in terms of puzzles. Jurassic Park had a few puzzles and I'd assume they were probably more on par with that. The puzzles of old didn't just disrupt pacing(which TTG values so much now), they stopped the story dead until you wandered around multiple areas and solved it.
It pains me every time I tell someone not to play the old games, because I love them the most. It's better than people down voting them though.
I'm definitely getting Back to the Future The Game and Jurassic Park The Game as I want more TT and I have nothing else that I want to buy for my 360 nowadays (other than Season 3 of Walking Dead).
The QTE fails were the best part. Seriously. The only way I'd recommend that game is with a group and purposely failing the QTEs. The story was so wedged into the original movie and inconsequential, that the only real satisfaction was in seeing a T-Rex bite you from the crotch up near the end!
edit: The previous post edit has made this null, but whats.
Lol, yeah you talked me into getting it, so I changed my mind and edited it lol. I might or might not get a One for Christmas, so since my 360 is it and there's nothing else that I want for it, not counting season 3 of Walking Dead, then why not go with more Tell Tale ? Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. They also would be an easy 2,000 gamerscore, which is a bonus as I'm nearly at 96,000 gamerscore and am trying to get to 100,000 already. The One came out nearly three years ago now and the 360 is already on life support. Why not go for some olden goldies ?
I love literally everything from Telltale, so yeah, I'd say go for it. And while Sam and Max is great, there's also another series that seems to have faded into the background and been forgotten and that is Tales of Monkey Island. I'd say go for that one before Sam and Max, since the puzzles are simpler and it really is more of a blend between storytelling and puzzles whereas Sam and Max relies majorly on the puzzles. Tales of Monkey Island is amazing. It's actually my second favorite Telltale Game at the moment right behind The Walking Dead.
I wouldn't say monkey island is easier, especially chapter 4 with the maze from hell, but its still a great series.
You'd probably have already played it, but Poker Night at the Inventory 1 & 2 are really fun!
I'd also like to add to your comment that you shouldn't be discouraged playing it in case you don't know how to play Poker.
I was clueless as to what was going on at first but it's actually pretty easy to catch onto after a while and the banter between the cast of characters is really fun. I'd set their chatter to less frequent though since some conversations tend to loop a lot if you've been playing for ages.
