Yey ;) Episode 5 (just like episode 4) didn't come out at 18:00 GMT when the steam store updates. Thanks telltale, this is exactly why I spent $23 on your game

  • A quick question. I can't seem to find many/any GOG owners of the game. Did you ever get the performance update that was released after episode 4? I'm trying to figure out if that's the case or it that's coming later today with episode 5.

I have it on GOG and I'm still waiting, too. Driving me crazy, as well, especially since almost all of the other platforms have it by now. If it wasn't for the fact that the game runs much worse on consoles, I'd have bought it there.

  • So when are you going to inform us mobile version is delayed? I'd really like to know.

  • Umm...southeast USA?

    What region?

  • Not really surprised it didn't release when the Steam store updates at 1:00 EST. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be very satisfied with the episode regardless.

  • I honestly don't know if I did or not; if I did, it didn't give me any indication at all.

  • Well. That just ruined my night.

Considering it states clearly on the Episode 5 release thread that it comes out today just like every other platform.

  • Is it that hard to update the game on steam? or inform people that it gets delayed on PC?

  • So its been 25 mins sense 1pm, already getting episode 4 flashbacks.

  • I forgot for a second that it's not out today in Europe, that's why I asked.

  • Telltale is forcing me to refund TWD S3. I WANT BATMAN EP5!

  • Sure hope it wont be 7 pm and Telltale comes out saying that its being delayed for "performance fixing" again

  • If you check settings and then graphics you should see more options than just texture quality and anti-aliasing. You should be able to turn the models down to low, medium, and high. If you don't see that then I guess the performance patch should be included with episode 5. If not that's going to heavily influence who I end up buying this from.

They're not there, so it looks like there's no patch for GOG (at least not yet). I'm glad I recently built a new computer, as my old one experienced so much slowdown at random points that it wasn't funny. One second I'd be running at 60+ FPS, the next it'd lag so badly that I could barely select a choice in time. This is the main reason I'm not buying The Walking Dead Season 3 just yet, even if it's my favorite of all of the Telltale series and I'm dying to see what happens next. Ever since they started using this new engine (or so I was told), the games have just run so much worse and I don't see a large increase in detail, either.

Whatever the case, I'll let you know if the options change after Episode 5 actually goes live (if it ever does).

Yup. Cause that really helped the game when it came out. lol

  • I have bought every single game they have put out. I will not be doing that anymore. Even though I was really looking forward to Season 3 of TWD. I'd love to continue the story but, being treated like this is just horrible. To push updates on PC is much easier and faster than on console. Yet consoles had the episode yesterday morning, a day earlier than release? I understand delays. The lack of ANY sort of communication is just so unprofessional. So congrats. You lost a costumer that had nothing but praise for your games.

  • Like last time the Telltale staff member will come and apologize and tell that it will be coming soon out, that how it went also with episode 4.

  • Yeah, I hear you. I tried the episode 1 Batman demo and it ran horribly. My computers two years old, but I still exceed all the requirements. I'll get around 30 FPS stable in some scenes and then in others I'd drop below 10. I went back to The Walking Dead: Season 2 in order to get my streaming equipment up and running and I was amazed at how much smoother it ran than Batman did. I'm super worried about TWD Season 3 as well, I've already got it purchased I just hope Telltale's gotten this new engine stabilized by then.

Is telltale even aware of the issue of the Xbox one season pass owners or have they already fixed it because I don't see a support article for it.

  • I just got the episode on PSN. Telltale really needs to work on fixing these issues, as the episode doesn't always come out on the same DAY for everyone.

  • Yes, conversation is the key.

I wouldn't care about the delay, if telltale would give us a heads up in advance about it.

  • The ep is out on Windows 10 app store but what about iOS and Android

  • It is also not out yet for PC steam

  • It is not out for PC period. Even if you bought a season pass direct from Telltale, you don't have access to download episode 5. At least I don't.

  • Yay they fixed the Xbox thing now I don't have to avoid spoilers after this.

  • PSN Europe or North America? I can't find it anywhere on the PSN EU store.

  • Damn that sucks hard man. Telltale really needs to get on this shit NOW.

Delayed to the 14th on PSN Europe

  • Not Telltale's responsibility anymore, it's the respective stores' fault.

  • Well I'm in the middle of playing episode 5 on Xbox one and the frame rate gets really bad at some parts not like the other episodes but the episode is still playable.

  • I don't understand how Steam seems to be having these kind of issues only with TellTale games...

I'm using this account for the first time in over a year to let Telltale know this is the last game I'll ever purchase from them. You're disgustingly terrible developers, and even if you never read this I want it somewhere for the world to see.

The game is on a technical level irredeemable garbage. How can you insist on making games with sustained, intense action games but push them out on an engine so poorly coded I have to sit for ten seconds looking at a still image while your poor fat camera chuffs and hustles over to a new angle to see the punch I just threw connect? You're lazy, you're completely lacking in communication with your fanbase - going as far as having your moderators devote time to closing all threads that complain instead of addressing their justified concerns - and can't meet deadlines that you set for YOURSELVES. I promised myself I'd sit through the end of this game to give you a final chance to show you can put in the effort instead of coast along on reputation, but nuts to me for trying I suppose.

Thanks for the one and a half good games I've ever experienced from you, and I hope you get your act together for the poor sods that are still going to buy TWD Season 3.

Dunno why I replied to this guy instead of just adding a comment.
