If Telltale's Batman had a '400 Days' Episode...
...which is to say a single bonus episode to bridge the gap between seasons and didn't focus on Bruce/Batman but someone else, what would you want? Here's my ideas...
A 'Tales of Arkham' episode, this is designed to introduce some of the villains and characters who make up Arkham in S1 and S2, with the new intern Harleen Quinzel as the main POV. But like 400 days there would be special chapters focusing on a different villain. No Joker, but you'd get to play as villains like Arnold Wesker/Scarface (would make for some fun dialogue choices), Edward Nigma, Oswald Cobblepott, Jervis Tetch and Victor Zasaz. Basically expand on the inmates of Arkham in their own twisted world and set some up as the villains of S2 along with Joker and Harvey/Two Face.
A Catwoman Episode, focusing on stuff Selina is getting up to between seasons and putting her against some suitably dangerous foe as she straggles the line between hero and villain.
A Barbara Gordon episode... but not as Batgirl, not yet. Effectively her road to getting inspired by the Batman and adjusting to her father's rise to authority as she tries to help Gotham in her own way before she tries to join Bruce in S2, either as Batgirl or in a interesting twist, a female Robin instead.
What other ideas do you guys and gals have?

A prequel involving Oz and how he grew into a pretty big crime boss. He went from a member of a rich family to nothing and into a huge crime boss. I just think it'd be cool to see how it all happened. Though I am a bit biased as Oz is my favorite character.
I actually really like your idea about Harleen.
I had thought if there was a prequel series of episodes that I would love to play as Oswald, along with Harvey, Gordon, Renee and Selina. An it would expand the Penguin character nicely, especially if they're were planning for a return for him in S2.
Oh I hope he comes back. I could never get enough of him. Best take ever on the Penguin.
I feel like a Catwoman episode would probably work out the best and could tell and interesting story, maybe even what Selina was before she truly became Catwoman, or what Id personally like more would be events after season 1.
Also, I feel like an episode about Joker and we play as Joker could be alot of fun if done right. We never got a chance to play as the bad guy in a Telltale game, and it would be alot of fun to slip on the Joker's shoes.
Given that they seem to set up his leg injury in both versions, plus they still the old childhood friend angle, I feel like there's still a fair bit you can do with Oswald and that they will bring him back. I loved the Arkhamverse Penguin tons (with his cockney accent and glass bottle eye) so I wasn't sure how this version would rate, but he really impressed. And I think people have underestimated their confrontation in Episode 5 if you went after Harvey first, because I loved it. So yes, more Penguin! (And Harvey/Two Face!)
I'm one of the people that was disappointed with Oswald's scene in episode 5, he's my favorite so I was looking forward to it and just expected more. My main issue with that scene was that it forced you to be a dick, there were no lines that suggested Bruce cares about Oz. But I've already bitched a lot about this in another thread so let's not get into it.
I think a Catwoman episode would work well too, possibly teasing elements of her backstory via flashbacks - do they want to suggest the Falcone connection as in a lot of adaptions - and expand on her reasons for using both Harvey and Bruce amid her current situation. Plus something like the Catwoman: When In Rome comic by Jeph Loeb where we get to play as Selina in a totally different context/setting would be nice.
I think Joker would have worked better if they hadn't introduced him yet and we'd get to define what sort of Joker we have... is your Joker a delighted trickster like Romano, a gangster like Nicholson, a showman like Hamill, a deranged planner like Ledger or a full on sociopath like Leto? And how interesting would it be to play Batman's first encounter with the Joker... from the villain's perspective? But I wouldn't say no to a Joker episode.
True, but it was harder to want to redeem Oswald than it was for Harvey, probably because we had more time with Harv overall. But you make a fair point.
Yup I agree. I think we all kinda know that the best DLC that wouldnt be following Batman would be Catwoman, both are similar with secret identities and a habit of doing things at night. Although it would be interesting to see her backstory, Id rather it would be after season 1 and we get to see what she does from there ( I assume that she would return to Gotham sooner or later) but I also like your idea of there being flashbacks.
Agreed, after Bruce she is the most logical character, unless we use Gordon. But as you say like Bruce, Selina gets to play with different masks of her character, from socialite to professional thief and more. So it would make a nice counter. Actually I'd love a whole mini series like Michonne with Catwoman.
I'd thought it might be interesting to take her to Santa Prisca, a exotic locale where she falls afoul of the local government and brings her in contact with a mysterious revolutionary with a 'venom'ous secret...
Oh hey, you mentioning Bane I like alot.
Honestly Id love Bane to appear in season 2. Imagine having Batman's back broken in a game like this.
Thanks! I love Bane too, though with Joker evidently the rising star and a fair chance of Harvey and possibly Oswald returning, I'd worry that bringing Bane in place risks the core villain being debatable (something the Arkham games often suffered from). But yes to a Bane/Batman fight. As for characterisation, I'd rather something more realistic on Tom Hardy and Arkham Origins levels. Have him utilise Venom but not the insane bulging muscles of some versions.
EDIT: And SMARTS! You want Bane, make it ultimately clear that his brain is just as good as his brawn. Proper Bane is a calculated type, not a raging would be Hulk.
Given how Selina's screentime and importance to the story was drastically reduced after episode 3, and we never even got to see her in-costume again, I would love a chance to get to play as Catwoman in her own mini-series that bridged the gap between seasons 1 and 2 of Batman.
Telltale's Catwoman is such a dynamic and nuanced character that I definitely think she could hold her own as a lead character.
I also like all of your ideas, though I particularly just like the idea of getting more Telltale Batman content to keep us satiated until we get a proper season 2.
So not the Bane from Batman & Robin?
...No.
The Arkham games proved on several occasions that Catwoman makes for an engaging character in her own right, but Telltale could do what Rocksteady didn't which is explore what Selina is when she's not around Bruce, and what she feels when she's putting her different masks on. So totally a mini series with Catwoman, or anything to bridge the gap like Michonne did whilst we were waiting for S3 of Walking Dead.
Now that you mentioned Joker, Bane appear could be to similar to Arkham origins, unless he has his very own agenda and no connection to Joker at all.
Personally I really like Bane when is some huge Hulk, makes him more menacing than just some normal guy who is strong. Like I said, the main reason Id love Bane is because I feel like Bane breaking Batman's back in this series could get really emotional.
That was something I really liked about Telltale's Catwoman. I feel like most games and comics and movies focus more on Catwoman rather than Selina, but I feel like Telltale focused more on Selina than Catwoman.
If they make an episode of Catwoman I am going to intentionally fail every fight scene so I can see her die in pain.
"Am I glad to see you embracing those feelings... their very natural."
Welp first time I've quoted John Doe, probably won't be the last.
I won't argue if they decide to release more Batman episodes, lol. I wished that we could see three more episodes for this season. This series has become my favorite from Tell Tale.
I was thinking it would be nice to have something like Seasons of Infamy that Arkham Knight had and Minecraft's Adventure Pass where you have three episodes with relatively self contained stories dealing with Bruce's first encounter with a new villain (outside Joker of course).
