People are pissed because of how unbelievable the death of Kenny/Jane were. Personally I just hate how telltale slacked from S1. All I was fucking hoping was for Kenny/Jane to have the same Importance as Carley/Doug back in Season one. So excuse me for wanting better from telltale. Considering they had two fucking years to sort things out and the fact that their studio has gotten bigger.
I respect that you didn't enjoy the episodes, I just found it crazy how most of the people on this thread hate this season because of one flashback in the first episode.
Telltale was working on new titles during those two years, they weren't just spending all their time on ANF. Besides, I doubt Telltale's writers wanted to recycle Kenny and Jane for Season 3. They had a new plot and new characters in mind and they executed it. Keeping Kenny and Jane around for ANF would just get in the way of Telltale's new plans for this season. In Season 1 of TWD, Carley and Doug had interchangeable roles in the first three episodes and didn't really change much during the season, and I have no doubt that if they did the same with Jane and Kenny, people would be on here complaining just as they are now.

No. Excuse. At. All.
Telltale was working on new titles during those two years
It doesn't matter, there studio is big enough to handle developing multiple games
Besides I doubt Telltale's writers wanted to recycle Kenny and Jane for Season 3
If that was true, then why the hell did they give us the option to Keep either one of them alive and even be with with them if they're were just going to only be in A new frontier for 6 minutes.
Keeping Kenny and Jane around for ANF would just get in the way
As I stated just give the side roles, there are many ways Kenny and Jane could be involved in A new frontier without messing with the plot.
Carley and Doug had interchangeable roles in the first three episodes and didn't change much during the season
This isn't entirely true, some mini quest wouldn't even exist if one of the two aren't alive. Like Talking about Lee's past to the group is determinate and can be beneficial. When the Bandits attacked the motel in Ep 3 Carley will make defending the place easier, If Doug is alive he will help you fix certain things (I think)
people would be on here complaining just as they are
While it is true you can't please everyone, they would have hella been less hate towards ANF

After playing through the first two episodes of season 3 my reaction is really mixed and even as a hispanic guy I was furious that we did not get to play as Clem.
Telltale basiclly has fallen into the same trap with the game as the tv-show did after SPOILER Glenn died people started to lose interest the ratings were not good for this season of the walking dead.
Even the comic is not doing so well anymore and The Walking Dead was interesting because of the characters and when both the game and show's entire cast is replaced by new ones, that arent really that interesting then it becomes a rince and repeat situation.
Also Telltale has really dropped the ball with keeping characters consistent their personalities or multiple personalities since they dont really have an identity, they become psychos on a whim or when the plot needs them too and they stopped feeling like real people.
Season 1 had believable characters season 2 and the first two episodes of season 3 did not in my opinion.

Hey all! So I never, ever, ever post here. I mean, I do but not very often. I logged into this account just to reply to this here thread!… more Fun Fact: I found out that I created this telltale account on the 19th of December in 2013! That's today, three years ago! How time flies, been playing these games for the past three years. Now, I'm a huge fan of the choices matter idea, I mean, the first telltale game I played was Jurassic Park and it was more like an interactive movie, but the story was so intriguing that I loved it, so of course, I have fond memories of the Christmas three years ago when I played that game.
I've seen a ridiculous amount of negativity absolutely all over the place. I've had a very positive outlook on life and the universe over the past few months, and it's hard (almost uncomfortable sometimes) to look at things negatively. It's the greatest feeling ever, coming from someone who was unfortunately once a rather,… [view original content]
Honestly, I'm fucking done with all the lies that have been fed to me by companies, people and the media throughout the year, I had so much … morehope for A New Frontier, I even defended it frequently telling people that "They won't just kill off Kenny and Jane, they're not stupid enough as to be blind to the large backlash they'd get from that" but, of course, yet again, I am proven wrong.
Personally, I am very passionate about story-telling, when I read stories, watch them through imagery/film and listen to them, I love finding the continuity and progression within them, heck, I myself write stories and I try to make sure that the reader knows a character well enough to understand their decisions with little doubt, but I feel as though A New Frontier has completely slaughtered two of the most complex characters in the series and not to mention a whole season's worth of fucking content.
I'm not one for swearing but I am honestly in rage mode… [view original content]
Okay I'll give you a scenario: Let's say when Clementine first meets Javier and let's say Kenny is still alive with her. He could taunt Javier maybe have a few lines about his distrust towards him. Or maybe When that one walker shows up maybe Kenny will instead deal with the walker. Or maybe during hubs you can interact with him, ask his opinion about the current situation. Or perhaps during Episode 2 when The New frontier attacked Kenny could be with Clementine shooting at them. Just small stuff. It could work

Hey! Here's a random thought! Take Clementine out of ANF and have it focus directly on Javier, then after that concludes make The Walking Dead Season 3! And have the story focus on what happened directly after the end of 205, Clementine as the playable character, and tailored stories so that Kenny/Jane survive if they were saved!
Hi everyone, I'm new here. Usually I'm a quiet "background person", but I had to put up this post now.
First of all, I'd like to add the positive things, especially in regards to The Walking Dead ANF.
I like this third season so far. Telltale did a great job with the new graphics, the voice acting and I'm already enjoying the new introduced characters more than anyone new from Season Two. Javier is an interesting new main character and I give him a chance. The choices and story so far were interesting as well. I'm fine with the fact that Clementine isn't the main character anymore. I'm fine with the episodes being shorter than they used to be. I'm fine with the lack of "hub-areas" where we can walk around and do little things.
But what the actual fuq did you, Telltale, do with the flashbacks?
I know that it wouldn't be easy to continue the story with characters that could die based on player choices. It's one thing to kill off Carley/Doug regardless of our choices, but characters like Kenny and Jane are a different story. Why do you kill them off so easily? In such nonsensical ways? No effort at all.
Kenny. Kenny is one of the most beloved characters, Lee and Clementine's best friend for most people and the only one besides Clem that is around since the first episode of Season One. And then they do this? Telltale, do you even care about your own characters? Did you even try? After all this build-up until now, you just throw him into the trashbin after some random car crash in the middle of nowhere. What the actual fuq. Anything would've been better. Give him an emotional ending like Lee had. Or let him stay alive somewhere save in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. There are so many other, better ways to keep an optional character that many people care about away from the current plot. But, huh, why put some effort into it, let's just kill off any memorable character, because it's the cheap and easy way, right?.
Same thing with Jane. I have to say, I hate Jane. I detest her from the bottom of my heart, but her ending was completely terrible too and "out-of-character". She is a selfish person who would abandon anyone and anything to stay alive, she is not a person that would commit suicide. Especially not like this. Her breaking up with Clem (temporarely), like.. in order to search for abortion meds. Wouldn't be too hard to come up with a solution.
Don't get me wrong. I love Telltale's The Walking Dead with all my heart and focus on the good things as hard as I can. It's my favorite series after The Last of Us, but these unnecessarily stupid story-decisions are too much for me. Is this "shocking moment" all you care about? The same crap that keeps me away from watching Game of Thrones, since every character gets randomly killed off for shocking effects? No. That's not what a great story game is about. If you, Telltale, really want to go this route, then it's truly sad because this studio has so much potential, but to me it would mean we have to go separate ways again.
I do not support such reckless, insulting treatment of important characters in a game that is ALL about storytelling.
I am curious, what other ways to tackle this problem of different play through??
Now I am not asking this question because I am a fangirl or anything, but just a genuine discussion.
At this point , I have taken the whole quote about "This game is tailored to the decision you choose" as false advertising and started treating it as equivalent to quantic dreams games like heavy rain. It just seems humanly impossible to create different experience of a game, and to an extent what should have been different personality of Clementine based on what ever happend in s2 (someone correct me if that is the case).
The only thing that seems possible to do is to have different endings like the visual novels or quantic dreams. Or semi different experience if you consider the raising people game like Princess Maker and Long live the queen.
Edit : added missing word..Also YouTube needs to implement spoiler system...I got spoiled for first dragon age game (I know I was late to that but still...Wish it went back to showing related videos then recommended).
I had ends of sentences cut off, jumpy animations, when they look like they're doing a cool shot but the seats in the van are a fucking blur fest! I was expecting good graphics, but I can't pick out the differences from what I remember. At one point javier was getting the fuel without the can, was just pumping into the air until it decided to load.
Also when doing a wider shot but still close to the faces all of the eyes were just black.

After what i have seen from ANF there is only one question in my mind. How long is telltale gonna fuck with us ? Poor writing, choices doesn't matter, technical issues, release issues...
Sure, I was disappointed with Kenny and Jane's death, that was so bad that i doubt the writers responsibles for this knew those characters, but damn.... We now have to pay around 7$ for espisodes wich are ONE HOUR LONG ? Sorry but I don't see that complain as much as i expected, there is absolutely no reason to pay that much.
Not really. I even timed it, and Part One took me 1 hour 10 minutes, Part Two took me 57 minutes. And I'm someone who inspects all hubs thoroughly and lets the timer run out until the last second. I mean, his math was way off, but still.
Season 3, episode 1 was about 1 hour, and 25 minutes long. Episode 2 was about 1 hour, and 10 minutes long. You add those together, and you … moreget 2 hours and 35 minutes. So, Ties That Bind, both Part One and Part Two, was about 2 hours and 35 minutes long. In the future, make sure you're at least semi-decent at math before you post something like this, okay?
Yup, I really dont like the whole "New Comer thing" the vast majority of players already played season 1 and 2. Why punish those players?
Also I guess the 42 clusters was a lie.
Another thing that really pisses me off: I payed 30€ for this game (and other people 25$), and I'm getting four episodes. Don't even try to weasel your way out of that, Telltale. It's obvious that you cut an entire episode in what I can only assume was an attempt to cheapily cut corners. The premiere being too big for one episode is a downright lie. Where are "Realm Of Shadows - Part One" and "Realm of Shadows - Part Two", then? Where are "Zer0 Sum - Part One" and "Zer0 Sum - Part Two"? "Iron From Ice - Part One" and "Iron From Ice - Part Two"? Not to mention that I only payed 20€ back in the day for Season 2, a five episode Season.
And when I bought Game of Thrones on PS4 per episode last year, I payed 5€ per episode, as usual. Somehow you now expect me to pay more for less. Episodes suddenly cost 6,50€, the Season Pass 30€, and in the end I only get four episodes.
I actually enjoyed the episodes they were freaking awsome but good but what made me really angry and nearly quit playing the game was that it was lagging like hell every few seconds the game would lag and the dialog would not be synchron anymore, even after I changed the grafiks to low ( i have a quiet good computer) the lags would not stop and that made the first episode not very enjoiable. In the second episode it was atleast not that severe anymor but that still angered me very much and that should defenetly not happen anymore after all those games they developed.
It seems to me that they were very inspired by "Fear the Walking Dead" in this new season.
I agree they should have left Clem out of it, I would have been happy for the end of S2 to be end of her story arc. However you chose to end it! They really did fuck up with the Kenny/Jane deaths, damn your decisions!
Id say the same, Kenny and Jane was a really stupid thing to happen but that wasnt it. Personally I think ANF would have been better if Clem just wasnt involved.
Of course you would . You are part of that circle jerk most of the time. But there are good people here. But this forum has slowly been taken over by grade school children. I don't have a issue with you at all , or Golden .He has an issue with me. Don't care why.

I mean, now Im just nervous that if Wolf season 2 happened that Bigby would look like a cardboard cut out after seeing Kenny and Jane.

You cant please everybody, but the vast majority would probably be more happy with what I said than what we got.

Im very angry too, the episodes were short, low on quality, with shitty framerate and everything was dull.
fuck you telltale, wasted my money on the third season and the episodes are shorter than 1 episode of a normal game
Maybe but you can't blame me.
And so the only person alive from the drugstore from S1 is Clementine
I disagree. Quite a few people here have been greatly respectful and have given actual arguments with valid points. Unlike you.
What about Lilly?
After what i have seen from ANF there is only one question in my mind. How long is telltale gonna fuck with us ? Poor writing, choices doesn't matter, technical issues, release issues...

It worked okay on my crappy laptop, i just had to turn the resolution down so it didn't look as good.
Wierd i turned it on lowest but it stil lagged very bad

I am a Jane hater and I was offended by her death
