Tripp is a traitor!

In Episode 2 of A New Frontier, Tripps base is attacked and then he just drives off, leaving his people to die.

He was their protector and he left to save himself. I dont trust someone who will run off when trouble comes.

Imagine if Lee or Kenny just ran off when their group got into a little fight.

Like getting into a RV and leaving, nearly leaving Lily behind?

    Yeah, that would never happen.

  • Was he the leader of Prescott? Not trying to be a dick, I just don't remember. It seemed like a pretty hectic situation regardless, and with all the tear gas and the walkers and everything, it probably would've been pretty tough for him to get to everyone.

Sort of reminded me of the Wellington situation.

Man, when the dude said "ram the gate" at the attack I started shouting "shoot them, shoot them!" at the screen.

    Not one shot fired.

    Man..

  • How was he supposed to do anything? The New Frontier brought walkers, tear gases and strong vehicles. How was Tripp supposed to get this job done?

  • He loves Eleanor, of course he is going to run with her if that means making sure she is okay, and alive.

  • Haha yeah, me too! I liked how not all of the New Frontier guys were on board with it though. That guy in the hat (I forget his name) seems to at least have a bit of a conscience, if nothing else.

Yeah, I appealed to his sense of guilt and sympathy when I arrived at the Richmond gate, I don't think he's completely unreasonable.

  • Same here. I hope they don't end up killing him off too soon. It's not every day that you get a bandit-like character with some personality other than, "HEY! GIMME ALL YER STUFF! OORAH!"

    Start of episode 3:

    Javier: "YOUR PEOPLE KILLED MARI!"
    David: "Wut?"
    Guy with hat: "Uuuuh"
    David: shoots hat guy

  • He saved everyone he could have. Prescott had fallen and no one would've made it.

Yeah, in his first appearance it sounded like they are paranoid due to being double-crossed before by another group. Could be a sign of potential infighting within TNF if they've taken a more militant stance. Badger - the guy that ordered the gate-ramming - was talking about ignoring the "go-ahead", implying that he might be one of the more extreme members going against orders from the leader (presumably David)

  • So I guess you could say he's a... Tripp Trap?
