Nothing happened, again... By the way, didn't Rick think it would have been good to tell Dwight about the number of walkers at the Whisperers' disposal? I thought he did off-panel, but apparently that's not the case.
The next 2 issues will have plenty of action. So far, we are shown some of the strateging moves of all (not both) sides. Now, with the pieces set the game may actually begin.

I'm disappointed overall...I was really expecting at least one big thing to happen, but literally nothing happened at all. They really could have just pushed this into last issue imo.
Good development for Negan though. This issue makes me feel like Negan might actually be around for quite awhile, since he seems to be redeeming himself more and more.
The next Volume needs to have some big moments, it's about time the comic got moving faster again

Yeah, you're probably right, but this was supposed to be the ending for the Whisperers act, instead it feels like the whole volume was just a set up for the real conflict (with Sherry and her band of dumbasses nonetheless...Yay...). Overall, this "war" was a real disappointment for me.

So the walkers are the threat once again? Is this what Kirkman meant when he said they're doing something not done for a while? I'm pretty excited to see how Alexandria might finally fall, though lets be real: I doubt it will fall.

Actually, you are not completely wrong. Whisperers Send a massive herd at Alexandria, which will lead to its destruction. Btw, the colony has almost fallen once. Time to move to Ohio, perhaps?

I've about had it with the comics. I am sick of nothing interesting happening, it just seems like the same boring shit every issue. The Whisperer arc has gone on far too long, and has been the most dull arc in the comic.

If the herd attack is an efficient strategy, why should a group pass it up? Besides, we are at issue 162. It is not easy to be constantly creative, is it?
That's what good writers are for, be more creative than others. The problem is not the herd itself, it's how forced it is in the story. Rick could have just told Dwight that the Whisperes have thousands of walkers with them, and instead he didn't. Why? For the same reason nobody at the Hilltop saw Beta's men coming despite the flaming arrows, forced and unimaginative plot.

Would have been a darn good issue if they didn't try to hype up this arc as much as they did making everyone think some big things were going to happen. Of course Hilltop fell but no major character deaths at all.
What if all the communities fall, Like Alexandria is doomed, Hilltop is probably still burning, and The Kingdom is doing nothing. Maybe they can move out to the smaller communities that Jesus talked about. Including Oceanside... But the Saviors ... I think they might betray Rick. Maybe some people from there like Sherry will warn Rick. Maybe a second All Out War?

Have you seen the future issue covers? Like you said, it's safe to say Alexandria is fucked.
Issue 164:
They can't get out of this one. Alexandria is done. It's time to move on from the Safe Zone.
I noticed something... peculiar: Issue 165.
The cover is of The Saviors and obviously Heath. Heath lives in Alexandria but it's probably safe to say Alexandria no longer exists in this issue (weird to say but it'll likely happen). The Hilltop has been burned to the ground. What's the one community left (other than The Sanctuary)? The Kingdom. The Saviors are attacking The Kingdom in issue 165.

Damn right, after that the comics became a bag full of a shitload of bad ideas: Magna's group, the Whisperers and their stupid "war", the Rose family, Carl/Lydia, Alpha and Beta as antagonists, and now while I don't want to be prejudicial by saying that the Saviors coming back as enemies is going to be a mess, I have very very low expectations for that. At this point, I'm just reading to see where Dwight's headed, and William, hoping Kirkman doesn't have another bad idea and fucks him up.

You're comparing an epic poem written two thousand and a half years ago to a comic book? Besides, Iliad, was just about the last year of war, and a lot of what we could call main characters died.
"I'm sorry I named a stupid fucking baseball bat after you."
Holy shit. Feels out of fucking left field. I was not prepared for that. Otherwise, a pretty uneventful issue.

I agree with all of your points. It has just been one bad idea after another since Negan's defeat. Magna's group had potential, but they have had so little appearances that I almost forget they are even there. The Rose family was just annoying, and served no purpose whatsoever except to irritate the hell out of readers. I actually don't really mind Carl and Lydia, though I do wish there wouldn't be so much focus on them. Alpha and Beta (and the rest of the Whisperers) are forgettable antagonists. I would rather have the Saviors as antagonists than the Whisperers. And ever since All-Out War, most of the characters are unlikeable, especially Rick.

Thank you for reminding me!
How long has it been out?

*Negan burying Lucille. He is becoming human(ish).
*Saviours defecting Rick. Should we expect a battle royal?
*Whisperers still being in the game with an ace hidden on their sleeves.

I have a feeling that it will. Check wikia for the next issues. Covers and previews are more than promising.

Nah, he meant cutting someone's hand off to prevent the infection from spreading, it happened in issue 161.
Actually, you are not completely wrong. Whisperers Send a massive herd at Alexandria, which will lead to its destruction. Btw, the colony has almost fallen once. Time to move to Ohio, perhaps?

Shit ass conclusion. That was the war? Fuck that shit. Uneventful ass shit. Fuck this issue
So ANOTHER herd is gonna attack alexandria..great. The comics really have done every idea twice at this point
Can't agree more on that.

Have you read Iliad of Homeur? The Trojan war lasted for 10 freaking years and Troy was still standing by the end of Iliad.
Get ready for No Way Out 2: Walker Boogaloo!

No Way Out 2: Definitely No Way Out This Time
I see. Perhaps it is time for Kirkman to step down and supervise new writers as they continue his story.
"I'm sorry I named a stupid fucking baseball bat after you."
Holy shit. Feels out of fucking left field. I was not prepared for that. Otherwise, a pretty uneventful issue.
For a volume called the Whisperer War it's the most uneventful hunk of shit volume Kirkman has done in a while
Well... interesting issue, to say the least.
Wonder what Kirkman has planned for Beta.

A lot of people died (though not major) and they did have a war. It was pretty eventful IMO.

What a boring conclusion, if you can even call it that. Nothing happened.

It's time to move to Ohio, I guess.
That 2 year time jump after All-Out War is the worst decision Kirkman has made

The cover itself made me think there would be one last battle at Alexandria. That cover was a fraud like the issue itself.
You're comparing an epic poem written two thousand and a half years ago to a comic book? Besides, Iliad, was just about the last year of war, and a lot of what we could call main characters died.
That would have been great... Had I not read Here's Negan.
I cry every time.
Well Rick will die in a few issues.
Do you have any clues or hi nts about that for us to share?
He's probably talking about the cover of the next issue.
Oh. I see. Nothing to rely upon then. (Alpha alive in the cover of the issue right after her death one).
