Frame Rate on PS4 is so horrible
This game has amazing art design and interesting twist on the batman lore, but the frame rate is seriously horrible (as of Dec 30 2016) and the game is constantly lagging and freezing, even crashing sometimes. seriously the frame rate can't hold itself and that breaks the emersion and ruins the experience. please patch it up soon guys, this is unacceptable by now.

(It may differ from system to system but...) Which episode are you talking about? For me, the frame rate got slightly better and better with each new episode that came out.
And I'm on PS4, by the way.
How could it differ from ps4 to ps4?? It's not a pc.
Fact: the performance on ps4 is a mess and if it's not enough the game is glitchy as well.
For example:
In Episode 1, as Bruce gives the ****** to Gordon, Bruce's head looks the wrong way, as if his neck were broken!
In Episode 2, in the alley, the mother of Bruce Wayne didn't have hands (!) and parts of the screen just go black sometimes
Such things ruin the experience completely, how could they release something so broken?! I just don't want to play the game any further in it's current state.
The framerate overall is a complete disaster, I literally can't believe how bad it is. (and the game runs in a resolution nowhere near 1080p...)
Unity is a feat of efficiency compared to Telltale's engine. Even on a beefy PC it still struggles to maintain 60fps.
Can your run Batman Telltale ? Like the "Can You Run Crysis ?" from 2007.
Ridiculous and sad at the same time, because I'm a big fan of Batman and I'd really like to play through all the 5 episodes on ps4, but these problems holding me off...
Well, bugs aren't always consistent in each version of a game. Some people can get game breaking bugs that prevent them from advancing to the next chapter, others not. Some people can have a game crash on a heavy moment, others not. While there shouldn't be a difference of quality between fixed systems like consoles, sometimes there are. In those cases, what causes the problem of framerate or crash could either be the hardware, or the program itself.
e.g: The bugs you just mentioned from episode 1 and 2, I never experienced.
I can hardly believe that a crash or bad framerate (specially at games from Telltale) has anything to do with the console hardware. It's simple: Telltale can't provide a consistent good quality, because they release their games on every possible platform. Maybe they should reconsider, because even if they target more people with more platform, with this bad quality they'll lose customers (and their reputation) from time to time.
Is this still true? I was going to purchase batman today then saw this thread. I won't buy if the game is unbearably laggy.
Unfortunately yes. If you play the game offline, it's a little bit better, but still a rollercoaster between 15 and 60 fps.
The intro scene of the finale was nearly completely unplayable for me.
Hopefully this gets fixed once the game hits retail cause the inconsistent frame rate really does sour the experience.
