Would Telltale put an idea from someone that doesn't work for them into their game if they liked it?

I made a fan fic and I really liked what I wrote and I wanted to know if there was anyway to show Telltale what I wrote. And if possible, them putting it into the game if they liked it. I know that this is a crazy question but I really want to know because I would love to see my character and his story show up in the game.

  • From what I've read before, the answer is no. Sorry.

  • Oh that really sucks. Well thank you for answering my question.

  • Greg Miller suggested having a Lee dream in season 2, bu I doubt someone like us could convince Telltale to do something.

  • To be fair a LOT of people wanted a Lee dream sequence.

Yeah, but he was the one who really talked about it, and was also in Telltale's ear all the time. I cant remember one interview or him talking about Season 2 with staff where he didnt keep talking about how he wanted that.

  • No because that would actually require them to listen to their fans.

  • The actual answer is no, due to it being an unsolicited submission. What does that mean? Well, it's a phrase that protects them and any writer they've contracted. If you send them a script, have proof, and they end up using any major part of it(whether they actually did, or not), it leaves them open to being sued by yourself. You can mention an idea to someone working at Telltale, but they will not read any scripts or stories for this reason.

  • Yeah but can't that be countered by the sender signing some legal document giving them permission and preventing them from being sued?

  • Well I sent an email a couple of days ago about my idea but they haven't responded yet. Will they at least say no if they don't like it or will they just never answer me back?

  • Never answer back.

  • Oh that sucks I would have at least like to know that they read it. Well I really wanted to share my character and his story with other people so is there a place I can post it and see what people think?
