Oh please...let them fail...so they just make software for powerful systems.
I'd rather there still be some decent competition between console manufacturers, especially with Microsoft making all their games available on PC. Plus, we need a dedicated handheld type device, since Sony is unlikely to make another one after the Vita bombed.
It's live now; $299, Launches early March (they gave an exact date that I forget), and no region locking.
On the 3rd worldwide.
Battery life is anywhere from 2 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours; impressive for such a seemingly powerful mobile device.
(Also, don't worry - double/triple/etc posting is okay in live discussion threads when you want to discuss live updates)

There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that Breath of the Wild will not only be the best Zelda game of all time, the best Adventure game of all time and one of the best video game stories of all time, but it quite possibly could be the greatest game of all time. If not the greatest, it certainly will be up there. Nintendo's got this in the bag. It 100% pisses me off that Nintendo is going the Mircocunt route like Sony did and making their online service paid, yes. But that doesn't matter anymore. Breath of the Wild looks beautiful, the gameplay is amazing, the story looks interesting, the Japanese voice acting is wonderful and there's no possible way this game could fail. This game might be my game of the century if it comes out alright, and I highly doubt it won't.
So, @MichaelBP since I didn't watch the presentation and only know what I know from tweets and that one Zelda trailer, could you give a quick summarization of everything they announced? If it's not too much trouble that is.

Nice that Sonic Mania is getting a port too. Also announced earlier today was a port of Lego City Undercover (best Lego game imo) for the Switch, as well as PS4/XB1/PC
After all those delays, it looks like the wait will be more than worth it. There's just no way it can be bad, not whenthe reception of anyone who has plaued it has been glowing or with how much stuff they're introducing to the series.
Me now.
I'm worried about the number of launch titles but other than that I'm really excited for the Switch!

All my life I had 2 consoles and my last one is a PS2, that still works somehow.
Is it worth it? Zelda and Splatoon game look fun.
Zelda will probably be the GOAT, so it kinda balances it out. Sucks about the online subscription though. Hopefully they'll give free games and stuff, like with PS+ and XBLG.
