Am I the only one that is getting bored of this place ?

I joined here in September and for a few months, people were adding great opinions and viewpoints to TT games. I even looked at some of their games differently. I'm honestly thinking about taking a break from this place for awhile because it's lame right now.

  1. The Political threads never work out and yet the mods smile, wink, and basically are like "F*** you, it's going up anyway." I mean this isn't CNN or Fox or whatever, do we have to be like every other website and have political discussions ?

  2. I plan on getting a One in a few months so I've been avoiding Walking Dead.

Hopefully now that Jurassic Park and Back to the Future are on sale people will give life to the crumbling and old forums of those games.

  • I also forgot to add that almost everyone just posts negative topics here all of the time and that's one of the reasons I left Facebook.

Another reason is that I've been angry with how TT is acting lately. In a way they went from fans first to money first.

  • This is a negative topic smart ass

You have only been here since September the political threads have been here before you and they will be here after you.

Telltales attitude hasn't changed recently they have been this way since wd s1when they ditched point and clicks and started making big name interactive tv show style games people dont use the walking dead ip to not sell stuff and make money

  • I feel the same way.

  • There's nothing wrong with political discussions in the appropriate threads. If you don't like that then don't enter them?

  • Hmm, I do feel it's gotten a tad boring. There aren't many new threads (at least in Telltale talk section). :(

And a lot of people I know haven't visited thsi forum for a loo0oong time.

  • I took a similar break from here when arguments got out of hand after Season 2 Episode 5 released of The Walking Dead Game. I know that certain threads and especially negativity can be rather disheartening when you want to enjoy a public forum (I've been there) but you do have the option to ignore those threads and let people who want to speak negatively and people who want to talk about politics, do so. It's a forum for everyone to enjoy, not just for a select few.

  • No this isn't a negative post. This is a constructive post, there's a difference. I don't like how you cussed me out for little to no reason.

  • I've been gone, speaking of political threads on here are very one sided

  • I suspect it's just the cycle of seasons (if you will). TWD fans had a long winter to endure, so I don't begrudge them their summer.

But if you're not caught up with Walking Dead, it does seem more like a winter otherwise-- not a whole lot else going on other than keeping antennae up for fresh GotG news.

And what about the recent threads about Disney villains and favorite foods? I thought those were pretty positive. Also nice to see the forum cut loose like it did last evening, as if the laxatives finally kicked in. I make a point to try and contribute to that stuff. I'll click on controversial topics if I've got the wherewithal, otherwise I just don't click on threads I know are going to stress me.

At the end of the day, your experience is up to you. If it's stressing you out, then yeah, take a break. Be good to yourself.

  • It's only natural there's less discussion once we start hitting after a month with no TT episodes. In the same way, discussion will start to die out or not really have any more once a series is done and has been completed for a while. The general chat section helps to have something to do and talk about during these types of waits, but otherwise, a lot of people simply take a break from the forums until the next episode's out.

  • For a couple of months, the forums, especially the Telltale Talk section, have been pretty uninteresting, with not a lot of interesting topics. Also, there's The Walking Dead section, which is in the worst state it's ever been in.

  • There are times when I get bored of certain forums particularly when there is not much going on in The Walking Dead section but that's because most people are waiting for each episode of the seasons to come out. But I usually also enjoy the General section because people share their hobbies and interest in other things besides Telltale games. I tend to stay out of the political sections because they become too heated. It's natural to take short breaks from time to time I have done it myself to where I took a week to a month off from the forum.

  • Well, people work at telltale as full-time jobs, of course they want money. Wouldn't you?

  • Years ago, we actually didn't have political threads. I remember one person coming on and posting some controversial stuff hoping to rile everyone up, and nobody responded to him. He eventually gave up and left. I think political topics have come up now mostly because politics has gotten so much more absurd lately. We'll see how it goes once we get past the craziness (if that ever happens).

As others have said, expect more traffic when brand new episodes and games are released. Until then, if you want to take a break, nobody's stopping you. There are lots of other things in life to pay attention to. If you're not sure, though, try just looking less often than you do right now, and don't read every thread that pops up, just the ones that look like they'll be interesting.

  • Yeah I'll probably do that. I mean it's just that this place has been boring lately and I laughed when that one guy was like "You were here since September, what do you know." Lol. I spent six years on IGN before I quit it many years ago. I celebrate my sixth year on Xbox Achievements. Org this year.

No one cares and I don't want a medal lol. September to January is a good time line to get a feel of a place. I'm saying that it used to have good discussions and now usually it's boring.

I will agree with the moderator and Warp Speed to take a break from this place for awhile and only visit the Walking Dead forum every few days.
