Female characters in Season 3
There are hardly any female characters in Season 3 or most of them have been killed off, Jane, Edith, Mariana and Francine. This annoys me as I like female badass characters. This only leads us to 3 females, Clem, Kate and Eleanor even though she is unknown! Kate is not interesting one bit (I don't care if she fancies Javier!)
I hope there will be more female characters in episode 3!?

Actually, I think this season is relatively balanced genderwise but I get your point about many of them being killed off. I hope Ava returns in a significant capacity, at least.
Also, and this might just be me, but I actually kinda like Kate. Its Eleanor and to a lesser extent Mariana I'm indifferent to.
I think we need to remember that we've just arrived at the new frontiers gates, there is a possibility that we will meet a lot of new characters over the next 3 episodes, especially the next one. Who knows who we'll meet. I am interested in Ava, I think she will become a significant character (I hope so anyway). Kate is possibly going to die, Eleanor is unknown atm but I still think they have more development in the works before the season ends.
I'm hoping Ava will play a big part
Also warning that this will trigger some people to say 'why do you care about their gender??' just shrug it off :P
Well we got Clementine. Every other girl is either dead or mostly off screen (could be Clem's falling into this category). Like most problems with this game, we just need more content.
I know! Everyone is wondering if Kate and/or Eleanor is going to die and I honestly don't believe they would kill of both of them since they are our only adult females so far in the game. It's either going to one of them or none of them. If they do kill of one or the other, that only leaves us with one adult female now unless they bring in more characters.
Maybe there are not many women left.
I would like to see another Indian woman like Sarita.
Now that we've reached Richmond, I expect that a lot of new characters will be introduced, and there will definetly be women among them, don't worry. Besides we have Ava, who looks pretty interesting so far (hopefully TT won't screw that one up).
Why do you care about the gender at all? I don't care what gender he/she is if the character is good.
People like to relate to characters. Gender is the easiest starting point.
Remember Season 1 episode 3? We lost Lilly, Katjaa and Carley (if saved) in 1 episode. And we Gained 1 female. Christa.
My thoughts exactly. That in my opinion seems to be quite trivial.
I don't want new female characters...
I want the old ones to return...
And also no more bad asses please, we already got 4 of them in this game series.
Don't forget Sarita, who managed to be some measure of "strong" without being a bitch.
You actually expect Telltale writers to go "Wait! We can't kill her off. If we do then we won't have an even amount of male and female characters!" Thinking like that would really limit yourself.
Aren't you one of the people that complained about Javi's family not being badasses? Something about it not making sense four years into the outbreak?
Nah, you're not the only one. I feel the same way. Kate's pretty likable so far, but Eleanor's...just...kind of boring. Like, she's nice, friendly and all that, but I don't know, I just can't find any actual reasons to like her, really.
Well, we barely spend any time with her for one thing and choosing to go with her over Tripp isn't really that special from what I've seen. Honestly, she's shaping up to repeat the issue with choosing between Carley and Doug again.
No, I don't think anyone actually complained about Javier's family "not being badasses". It's the issue that, in the first episode we're introduced to them, they come across largely incompetent and inexperienced, despite having survived four entire years into the outbreak. That's what the problem was, not that they weren't leather cladded and gunning down walkers, Arnie style.
Fair point, but they didn't really come across as incompetent to me. But that's a discussion for another time, especially since it's not really relevant to this thread.
You forgot we are in 2017, where SJW are trying to take the world, by saying gender shouldn't matter, but saying being transsexual is a real thing, or by saying everyone should have the same rights, but they vote a person as president because she is a woman.
I wouldn't call myself SJW. I absolutely believe that we are all humans after all. And I wouldn't vote for a person as a president because she's a woman. Yeah, men and women have their differences but those differences are mostly instincts or because of what they are said, not the person itself.
I mean, they already kinda are limiting themselves. Pretty obvious Clem wont die, and if Kate or Eleanor died it would just be another waste of characters instead of actually doing something with them.
Don't forget, Kate is dying :,)
It's not a surprise that we see less living women during a zombie apocalypse.
Women are as a general rule less physically capable and so would have a harder time fighting off an attacker, especially when that person is a zombie.
So what puzzles me is why we don't see more female zombies.
