You know, they're all really phenomenally good. Like way better than most voice acting for video games, but when you ask that, the first person that came to my mind was actually Russ Bain as Rodrik from Game of Thrones.
For me i believe Dave Fennoy as Lee Everett in "The walking dead" was arguably my favorite voice over performance. Gavin Hammon as Kenny in "The walking dead" would be a close second.
Would saying Lee be too obvious and generic? Besides Lee, I thought Crane had a really good range of performance in Wolf Among Us. He sounded cartoony and exaggerated, while still being able to capture the nuance of very adult situations without it sounding corny or overplayed.
That's a good one...Melissa as Clementine...Bigby Wolf...you know...say what you want, but TellTale gets great performance out of their talent.
I think Adam Harrington was probably the best voice in a Telltale game. Almost every character is well voiced but I feel like Bigby's voice is just amazing.
For one he is our playable character, so his voice is what we hear the most. But second, unlike other Telltale protagonist, Bigby is probably the best "vessel" for the players. He's the only Telltale protagonist where what you do truly feels like its in his character. You can be really good, you can be really bad, he doesnt default on the good side. And Adam did a great job making his voice show the different emotions.
Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent in 'Batman'.
He did a phenomenal job, and absolutely nailed the character. If it hadn't been for Willingham's excellence, I probably wouldn't have felt as attached to Dent as I did.
Obviously, Lee Everett as Danny St. John in "Starved for Help."
Wat
"Yeah, it's me!"
Either Melissa Hutchison as Clementine or Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent. While Willingham's performance might just be one of the best interpretations of Harvey/Two Face in Batman media, I'm going to give the slight edge to Melissa on this one, she's been playing as Clementine for almost 5 years now and she's done a flawless job throughout that entire time.
I like Melissa Hutchison as Clementine, i also like Patrick Warburton Hugo Vasquez (and Troy Baker as Rhysquez )
Melissa Hutchinson and Dave Fennoy are phenomenal actors, and did stellar jobs bringing their respective characters in TWD to life.
Mine is gonna sound predictable but I have to say my favorite is Gavin Hammon as Kenny.
When I found out Gavin Hammon used to be the drummer for a ska band, I thought it was cool (I love ska music) but I also thought it meant I would lose a layer of immersion while playing TWD, because I would see Kenny as Gavin Hammon the former ska drummer and not as Kenny the character.
He does such a great job, though, that it's easy to get lost in the story and still see Kenny as Kenny. Kenny's been my favorite Walking Dead (and by extension, favorite Telltale) character since day 1, and I think Gavin's phenomenal voice work is a big reason why.
Shout out has to go to Adam Harrington as Bigby, because he was also pretty incredible.
Pretty much majority of Telltale games have voice acting quality beyond 'regular' video games, in my meaningless opinion.
I respect the all of the actors a lot for their work and it's difficult to pinpoint just one best performance simply because there is such a wide range of characters and performances to choose from at this point, and a lot of them are simply different from each other.
With saying that, I will say that my favorite male performance is Dave Fennoy as Lee Everett, he did an incredibly fantastic job with displaying the multitude of layers of this character.
As for my favorite female performance in TTG, I am going to be in a vast minority I suppose (and nostalgia comes into play here so, duh) but I gotta give my love to Erin Yvette who I thought did a very impressive job in TWAU. Miss White is a quite complex character, and yet Erin has managed to pull off her "cold from the outside, warm from the inside" kind of demeanor so well that it really impressed the hell out of me (especially when I found out that it was only her second voice acting role, I was ready to bet my kidneys that Snow was voice by an actress with years of experience)
As for my honorable mentions, Travis Willingham did an absolutely amazing job with Two-Face, Adam Harrington obviously is a complete badass as Bigby, Melissa Hutchinson is going to pop up on everyone's lists one way or another for her work as Clementine and Gavin Hammon as one of his 250 Telltalle characters he voiced.
Adam Harrington as Jerry.
FUCK YOU MOTHA FUCKA
Kroger from Tales From the Borderlands. (Adam Harrington)
I want Lee to come back but with Samuel L Jackson voicing him.
Jason Spisak playing Oswald Cobblepot in Batman. He really nailed that smug, magnificent bastard feel that made me absolutely endear his character and love his scenes.
The guy who played Kenny on TWD, and the guy who voiced Bigby on TWAU.
Adam Harrington as Biby, Dave Fennoy as Lee, Gavin Hammon as Kenny, Travis Willingham as Harvey, just to name a few. For the most part, TT picks great VA's and I have nothing at all against Troy Baker and Erin Yvette it's just they've been overused to hell. xD
Travis Willingham as Harvey, actually made me feel really bad for the character without having them get killed.
If i had an entire season of this i would be complete
Definitely Dave Fennoy as Lee. In situations where it's calm he's not stellar, but in serious situations, fights, arguments and the Stranger scene, his voice acting is fucking legendary. It fits each situation so well, and my heart still sinks when he yells "IT'S OVER" to Andy St. John in the rain. It's such a powerful shout.
I wish we got a Sam Jackson remake of Season 1 instead of Season 2, that was fucking amazing.
I absolutely loved Patton Oswald as Jesse in MCSM I thought he really suited the character along with the other cast members. And of course I also loved James Arnold Taylor as young Emmet Brown in BTTF the game because he is my favorite voice actor of all time. I also loved AJ Locascio as Marty Mcfly in BTTF the game but we all love troy baker as batman right so he is definitely on my list. Again we all love people like Christopher Loyd who played the same character in the movie.
Honestly, Bigby was pretty well acted.
On the contrary, Female Jesse and Faith were pretty awful in my opinion. Faith had no emotion in her speech, though I'm not sure if that's intentional. Female Jesse's voice was too high pitched and annoying. I couldn't stand playing that game as the female character because of that.
The portrayals of Rhys and Batman are just too awesome. Troy Baker is just a fantastic voice actor: I pretty much love everything he does. I'm also fondly reminded of Theron Shan (SWTOR) and Sam Drake (Uncharted 4)
I really like whoever voiced The Joker as well
I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of any at the moment. I'll come back and add them if I do
