What would you do if Telltale just gave up?
Echoing the question in the title, what would you do or how would you feel if the writers and managers of season 3 got so overwhelmed by where to take the story and the criticism of what they have written so far that they decided to scrap Season 3 entirely?
Not to say that this is at all a plausible scenario, but I do not envy the people who are currently on this project.

They already have.
Wait they didn't give up yet?
If they gave up and never attempted to correct it = Outrage
If they gave up and then gave it another go with everything they have = Respect
Well it is not like they do not have talent coming out their assholes. I loved Batman...they have some up and coming writers who did good work on that. Let them have a crack at the big franchise. And fucking treat Clementine with the respect that a beloved character like her deserves.
In hindsight, I walked right into that one.
That why he said "if"
i would found out that im pregnant and commit suicide
They already gave up when they announced they made Javier the playable character.
Support them because i know they're having a hard time continuing the series
At this rate they will eventually give up if the quality continues to drop season after season and begin to lose customers. Only thing that improves with these games now is the graphics. Season 2 graphics were superior to the first game and now New Frontier makes season two look like child's play. Except the flash back characters.
But I can see them giving up by the fifth season when they have only 2 thirty minute episodes for season 5. Then have group leader kill everyone by strangulation, before shooting himself in the head for the second episode season finale.
savage
Demand a refund for the 3 unreleased episodes...I'm surprised no one else mentioned this.
Feedback here is lovely, I would give up if I was Telltale's heart.
Legally telltale wouldn't be able to do so without recalling and returning every copy sold, ( or atleast season passes ) which could cause a ton of problems. And even though season 3 is a mess, they need to finish it, they can't leave it hanging. However that doesn't mean they can just half ass no effort or put any love into the rest of the EPs.
I wouldn't be surprised considering the state of telltale currently.
Well at this point I'd like a refund, because making a one dimension lame ex ball player the main character was giving up. They painted themselves into a corner, and I think they need to get super creative - as well as making Clem 100% playable - to get them out of side corner.
if not, can they give out refunds? lol
Be really sad? It would crush me as I'm really into the story, but I couldn't really DO anything.
What, you mean they already haven't?
Memefication into extinction, baby.
What if the player base give up?
This is stupid. No one said Clem has to be the only protagonist. Last season proved she doesn't fit in this role; emotionless, too strong for her age, too smart. We may discuss if Javi is interesting enough (after two ep.) but giving someone else a chance was right move.
i'll kidnap the CEO and make him fly through the windshield.
I'd demand a refund and maybe try developing Season 3 myself in gamemaker studio or something lol
I wouldn't mind if they gave up on the season and started over but I would obviously want a refund if they aren't making what I paid for. They aren't giving up though, they're going to either limp this season through or give it their best effort.
Yeah, Skybound may not care if they miss a deadline or two, but I can tell you right now the House of Mouse isn't going to tolerate that shit and it could be the end of Telltale if they fuck GotG up. Pissing off Disney is a sure way to never get any work again.
I feel Telltale can make this season a genuinely good season if they put the time and effort into crafting a genuinely good story and improving and correcting the problems/mistakes of the previous two episodes. I think It'd be cool if Telltale released a DLC package which allows you to play as Clementine following the end of S2 all the way to ANF.
Hire me as an animator, I have MS paint
I think you got the answers backwards Brosephus.
Play other video games and remember their past games fondly. Like I did with other devs after they gave up/started to suck. Konami, Ubisoft, SEGA, Rareware, etc.
Kekekekekek
????
That's interesting.
I'd become paralyzed after giving a driving lesson to a young girl.
I'd say - "pigs!" and play something else. What else I can do?
Make The Wolf Among Us Season Two myself.
Just not spend my money on their games anymore and play video games by Naughty Dog, Rockstar, Capcom, Kojima etc.
Since I bought a season pass, I would not be happy. I doubt they would though. They clearly dont have the same attitude about the game that the people on his forum do.
Couldn't care less.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE TellTale's game series, each and every one of them. But if they were to stop making more or writing out more episodes, I would shrug it off. It's almost no different than a cancelled show or cut-off movie series. Things may end early, you never know.
I'll be honest I don't really like Javier that much. He seems bland.
