  • Mass Effect 3 is the best game in the series so far IMO, even with the whole ending controversy.

I disagree with that statement. ME 3 is awesome. Especially if you're playing Renegade.

All you do is complain. You pull the same garbage on the BioWare forum and it's boring and you should have been banned from there just like you were on here under your previous name. All you seek to do is to be a troll. You must be in dire need of attention because no one would bother disliking and complaining so much about something while still hanging around it's community so much. "Cora's Ugly" "PeeBee's just like someone else I don't like" Find a new act "Snowflake"

    My choices:

    Mass Effect 1:
-Saved Ashley (Only because Kaiden wouldn't stop fucking hitting on me.)Romanced nobody.
    -Saved the queen
    -Saved Wrex
    -Saved the council
    -Picked Anderson
-Completed Bring Down the Sky (I honestly really hated this DLC and I tend to skip it whenever I do replays of the game.)
    -Didn't play Pinnacle Station

    Mass Effect 2:
-Miranda and Zaeed killed in suicide mission
    -Romanced Garrus
    -Saved Maelon's data
    -Exonerated Tali
-Finished Lair of the Shadow Broker (My favorite DLC of Mass Effect 2.)
-Saved David in Ovelrord (Wasn't a fan of this DLC. Sorry. It didn't balance out the story and gameplay particularly well and it felt like Bring Down the Sky all over again. Although the narrative itself was a lot better.)
-Completed Arrival (Honestly wasn't that bad and I fail to understand why people dislike it so much.)
-Completed Zaeed's loyalty mission. (Fun, but its story was too shallow and generic for me to care about Zaeed as a character.)
-Completed Kasumi's loyalty mission. (Really fun and a decent understanding of Kasumi's character. Definitely my second favorite DLC of Mass Effect 2.)

    Mass Effect 3:
-Tricked the Krogans into thinking the genophage was cured so I could get Salarian support for earth. This of course, eventually resulted in Wrex's death and Clan Urdnot pulling out.
-Negotiated peace between the Geth and Quarians
    -Killed the Illusive Man
    -Synthesis ending
-Completed From Ashes DLC (Fucking amazing and one of my favorite DLC's of the entire series. Even if it is overpriced.)
-Completed Citadel DLC (Didn't like it at first, but it grew on me after another play through. It's one of my personal faves.)
    -Haven't played Omega or Leviathan.

  • You might want to study up on some of the lore, but its a completely separate story from the original trilogy. So you could probably go into this as a novice.

I know absolutely nothing about this title. I beat ME 1 and 2 but not 3. Are they linked with the new title?

I strongly disagree but whatever. Like I said, my point is that nothing story-wise would be missed anyway.

  • The brief glimpse of multiplayer looks alright. Pretty much the same as 3 and I'm glad at least one mode will be PvE. Sometimes you just want to mess around.

Peebee is voiced by Christine Lakin?! Jane's voice actor?
Holy shit. I suddenly decided that I'm gonna love Peebee! (which is funny since I had it pretty established I was gonna hate her : P)

First rule of good gamers: always wait to see some gameplay videos and some users reviews to decide about buying a game or not.

That said, i really want to see what they will make for this Mass Effect, but the fact that they are introducing microtransaction is a big "WARNING" sign for me. Of course i want to see how they will affect the game itself (if they don't touch the Single Player mode, it's fine for me; that's, for example, what made me regret to buy Deus Ex - Mankind Divided at the Day One) to decide, but sure as hell this will make me wait to buy it, even if i waited for this game so long.

  • Micro transaction itself is stupid, but it doesn't really lessen a game's quality.

  • I agree. All the pre-order info I've seen and the super special edition(or whatever they're calling it) were both very clear in stating that the additional perks were multiplayer only. A good sign, but you know ultimately EA signs the cheques(checks). So even if I trust Bioware, you never know.

For me it depends: if a game is both singleplayer and multiplayer and i bought it to enjoy mostly the first one, microtransaction doesn't bother me unless not paying them gives me a disavantage in the single player mode (Deus-Ex allowed buying weapons and praxis kit for the single player, as an example). If, instead, i buy a game for a mostly multiplayer game experience, then i saw this simple scheme:

    • Is PayToWin: You can go into the rubbish can where you belongs, and the developers can burn into the deepest hole that Hell provides.
    • The microtransactions only involves cosmetic items: completely fine by me, my skill will still no be affected if i play cheap.

  • Still they said that multiplayer will give some extra bonus into single player, and that comes to the same idea i stated before. If it will be not so difficult to achieve the goodies for single player without paying, then it's okay, but if it's not, then same shit goes again.

Totally agree with you about EA, we all know how they are about games.

  • 3 was kind of like that too. You couldn't get the best ending originally without either playing multiplayer or waiting for the DLC to increase your war assets(they changed it pretty quickly). That was kind of ignored since the ending had it's own issues at launch.

I would hope they wouldn't do something like that again. You would think that they learned after they had to patch it the first time.

If it's something like making the game easier, by it just leveling you quicker, I'm okay with that.

  • Indeed! Jane and Peebee are one and the same. :)

  • That's the smallest meme I've ever seen.

  • I'm really hoping that Peebee is romanceable with a male Ryder. I think she's definitely my favorite going into the game. But obviously this could change.

  • I think it is confirmed that she is romanceable. But since she is an asari, I think she is also romanceable for a female Ryder.

  • I think it's implied. Her voice actress mentioned something about Peebee growing and even falling in love and most people assumed that meant she's romanceable.

Meanwhile here I am still wondering who the romance option(s) are for gay male Ryder... is Liam romanceable? Or are there other options besides him? Or maybe there's no same sex romance? :'(

  • There will be. It's Bioware. There will be.

  • Hopefully.

Next post is a possible spoiler for the game if you haven't read the graphic novels/comics.

Previous post is an assumption regarding romantic options.

  • So... Is it all but confirmed that Cora is related to The Illusive Man? Same last name, biotic, military. Or is this just something for fans to go nuts over until it is never mentioned and just an intentional coincidence.

  • I believe I heard it somewhere that she is indeed the daughter of The Illusive Man.

  • Sorry, I thought it's already confirmed, turns out it's just a speculation... my bad. :/

  • It is either a coincidence or intentional that Cora have the same family name as Illusive Man.

But I definitely think that Cerberous are among the Initiative's backers.

  • It's possible that the illusive man and cora are related but I think Bioware would find another way to tie the originals to Andromeda. With all that being said, it would be really cool for Cora the related to the illusive man and would make for a good lore about her.

So with Andromeda taking place 600 years after mass effect, how many people would still be alive

    • this list in in no particular order

*Shepherd: dead, he can't live for 600 years even if he survived the battle for earth in ME3
    * Garrus: dead, he can't live for 600 years
    * Tail: dead, can't live for 600 years or dies in ME2/3
    * Liara: Alive, Asari can live for about 1000 years and Liara was in her mid 150's during ME3
    * Ashley: dead, either died in ME1/3 or died of age
    * Kaiden: dead, either died in ME1/3 or died of age
    * Wrex: dead, either died in ME1 or died of age
    * Zaeed: dead, either died in ME2 or died of age
    * Legion: dead, dies in ME2/3
    * Samara: dead, either she dies of old age or dies in ME2/3 (she states during her loyalty mission she is 600 years old)
    * Mordin: dead either dies of old age or dies in ME2/3
    * Miranda: dead, either dies in ME2/3 or dies of age
    * Jacob: dead, dies in ME2 or dies of age
    * Thane: dead, dies in ME2 or ME3
    * Jack: dead: dies in ME2 or dies of age
    * Kasumi: dead, dies in ME2/3 or dies of age
    * EDI: possibly alive, based on choices in ME3 she can live or die
    * Javik: dead, (speculation) i think Javik dies of age as he could not survive as long as he did without his cryo pod
    * James: dead, dies of age after ME3
    * Grunt: Alive (possibly), Either dies in ME2/3 or could possibly live 600 years as Krogan live almost as long as Asari and Grunt is considered a baby

  • A BioWare employee confirmed on Twitter that Peebee is a romance option.

You forgot Grunt. Krogan and asari have similar life spans so Grunt would still be alive 600 years later assuming he survived the original trilogy.

  • So far I haven't heard of any save import system. Does this mean it will have something Similar to Mass Effect 2 interactive comic DLC? Or will nothing of Mass Effect 3 be carried over?

Also since Liara would be about eight hundred years old would she be considered a Matriarch similar to Samara and Benezia?

  • That's surprising. A certain developer said on twitter he'd rather not say who's romanceable until launch day.

  • It's a brand new story in a brand new galaxy. So it's likely that there's no save import.

  • It's already been confirmed that there will not be any save imports. Everything you did in the past trilogy don't matter. Also liara will not be in this game, no one from previous games will make an appearance.
