Can we get some details on what this is a brief summary or a link maybe because for all I know this could be a burger sauce.
Emmett Louis Till (July 25, 1941 – August 28, 1955) was an African-American teenager who was lynched in Mississippi at the age of 14 after reportedly flirting with a white woman. The brutality of his murder and the fact that his killers were acquitted drew attention to the long history of persecution of African-Americans in the United States, and Till posthumously became an icon of the Civil Rights Movement.
The woman that accused him of flirting recently admitted she lied and made the whole thing up.
What do I think? I always felt it was a bullshit situation....strait outta To Kill a Mockingbird.
Oh right I have heard of this, I thought this was going to be current news.
That was a nasty era to live in white women were sometimes lobotamised for flirting with black guys too. At least its behind us now and most people are more accepting nowadays.
The case is potentially be reopened as the women has come out and admitted she lied.
Its like during the witch hunts some people get swept away with the hysterics and make crazy accusations its happening now with the islamaphobia a muslim girl claimed she had her headscarf ripped off her head then admitted she made it up after the media frenzy and people have made false rape allegations against muslim men
I guess its a weird pack mentality/crowd hysteria thing
It was horrible?
So wait, what did you expect to hear?
I'm curious. Nobody's going to be in favor of what happened to Till. Why ask?
Was just talking about this in literacy, I think the entire situation is horrible, he didn't whistle at a girl he had a lisp
