Question: Similar to how Batman had detective sequences, can we expect more individual and special gameplay additions in future Telltale gam… morees (from a gameplay mechanic standpoint and not a story telling standpoint)?
Answer: If you liked the kind of investigation sequences you saw in BATMAN, as well as special mechanics/gameplay additions... I think you're going to be PLEASANTLY surprised by what's in store for our next series when it premieres... and that will be SOON! I can also say that it might have one of the largest environments we've really ever let a player poke around in... and that's both horizontally AND vertically....
...so to answer your question ... YES!
It's not something that will be a standard requirement for everything we do... but in at least one upcoming series that's coming FAST... I think fans of that kind of stuff in our games are going to be happy.
One Question: "I was wondering if you guys over at Telltale ever intend on making our choices affect Clem's personality?"
Answer: You're only two episodes into Season Three. Keep playing.. and ask us this question again after the finale. Cool? :P
Ah I see. Thanks for answering, Job!
That is surprising, I guess the majority of players love to live with their choices, heh. Still, I … morethink having the option open to rewind again will be nice. Whatever the players rewind or not, it is their choice.
When Kevin first announced how the story generator would work in this news article, me and some other people here on the forums got very excited to see what our cluster had to say about our playstyle as depicted in this picture:
Well, turns out the in-game story generator wasn't nearly as exciting. It gives a very very very brief and general statement about the payer's playstyle and two sentences regarding the ending we chose. My question is, are there pictures and descriptions of the other clusters and are they ever going to be shown to the public? I think it would be something very interesting for us, the players, to see.
Glad to see you and your kitty cat are feeling better, being operated is never pleasant. Also, I hope you will have fun in London, meeting fans and working on the super duper secret project.
Now my question is, do you consider Telltales' TWD to be Clementine's story?
Why is Clem's playtime so short? She was promised as the secondary protagonist to Javier, but so far she's only had 10 minutes of playtime, even less depending which flashback in both episodes, while Javier has had the rest to himself. It's been said that no character takes the backseat, but as of right now, it seems that Clem's time is getting shafted for Javier. It seems unfair to her. I feel the co protagonist deal in S3 should've been worked like it was in TFTB, which most enjoyed.
Oh dear god please bring it back. As someone who has to spend a week calculating their time to find out when I'll have a free hour to play one episode, playing through the whole entire thing again to change one choice is brutal.
Thanks Dave! Feels good to be feelin' good!
As far as rewind goes, I can't say there's a clear answer other than when we looked at the d… moreata coming back from users, only a VERY TINY percentage of players were actually using rewind. There may have been some technical reason as well that pushed it to the chopping block, but in truth, we really don't hear a lot of feedback from players asking for its return. Should that ever change, that feedback will most certainly be taken into consideration. That's how we do things!
Yeah, i wanted to ask about it, too. I actually found my original post with that picture. I posted it on December 20th. I was really pissed, since i payed for Episode 2, but couldn’t actually play it. Also, it was about 1am here in Germany and i was tired. A big patch later that day fixed it.
You have said episodes are shorter because they are feature length, like a movie, and designed to be enjoyed in one sitting. However, many films, indeed the most popular, are well over 2 hours long. How do you reconcile this with your approach to episode lengths?
As you know, many people including me aren't happy with the way Season 3 turned out (reinforced by sales and most helpful reviews on Steam being ALL negative).
My question is, will we be seeing an improvement to Season 3 Episode 3 in any way (such as more Clem playtime, longer episodes, more character development, etc) - in other words, are you listening to all the criticism you're getting (and no Job, we're not the minority shown by sales and Steam reviews)?
Hello job myself and many fans noticed that Anadel is no longer making music for this season, is there a particular reason for that? also lots of the clementine versions of their songs were removed from Spotify. i tried asking Anadel why but they never replied, do you know why?
Im probably going to be wasting my question asking this but The Wolf Among Us is probably my favorite Telltale game. It was also my first Telltale game. I remember playing it back in October of 2013 and then finding Telltale's Walking Dead, finishing that just in time for Season 2's release and played both of them live. I've bought every other Telltale game since and played them live as they release at episode 1 all the way through episode 5. But Wolf Among Us is still really close to my heart.
Bill Willingham has also said more than once on twitter now that a second season of Wolf was completely up to you guys at Telltale. I also doubt Vertigo has anything stopping you considering they made the game into a comic and are also making another Fables spin off comic right now, so I doubt they have anything against making another game, and after you guys got Batman from Warner Bros, I doubt they are against it too. And lately you've guys have been tweeting alot more about Wolf, and every time you do it, it always gains the most retweets, likes, and a ton of replies all begging for a second season, even though we are coming up on the 3rd anniversary of when the season wrapped up and ended in July.
So I guess my question is going to be a super basic. "Can we ever expect a second season to The Wolf Among Us?" Can we also get a more clear answer. 3 years of non-stop "ha ha these lips are sealed" or "Hey homie, dont give up hope!" Gets really old. Also constantly "alluding and hinting" season 2 and making fake hype also gets old. At this point people would rather just get a straight up 100% clear "We have 0 plans to continue Wolf Among Us right now."
p.s: Because you guys are at PAX East, and after ANF ends and GOTG comes out somewhat soon and will end Im assuming at max August, you guys have no confirmed game announcements, and because I live near Boston, Im not saying you should totally like, slide in that info of you will announce another game at PAX East (that will totally 102% be Wolf Season 2) so I know I should buy a ticket and show up buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... you like, should

Glad to see you're alright! I guess I'll ask the same question as before. Now that Season 2 has been long over with and it's faced so much harsh criticism (admittedly some of the time from me), how do you feel about the final product that is season 2? Do you like it, do you feel it could have been done better, are there things you loved, things you hated? Just wondering. Thanks if you answer!

I am probably in a minority, but I really enjoyed the different view playing Clementine gave on the apocalypse in TWD season 2, is there the possibility of a sequel to A New Frontier some time in the distant/not so distant future, where we get to play as Clementine for the majority again? now that she is older I think it could be very interesting to revisit her
I agree. Replacing Clem with Javier was a stupid move. She's literally a random background character. The only reason me (and many others) are playing this is for Clem, not some random baseball player.

Why did you market Clem as having 42 starting points when only the s2 endings effect anything and the story generator doesn't include hardly any choices that could actually define our Clementine?
The problem with asking about "more Clem playtime" (as in the previous thread) is that it's not specific. If she is playable for, say, a 2-minute flashback in the next episode, then that's 2 more minutes you had of Clem being playable than you've had in this season so far, which means that, yes, you're getting what you ask for, even if that's not what you're asking about.

Even out the playtime between Clementine and Javier. Hell, even a 40/60 split is fine by me. Right now we got some shitty 5/95 split. Make Clementine playable in the present at least. That's what we mean by more Clementine playtime.
They pulled it off in Tales from the Borderlands, why not again in TWD?

Hi Job, so I'm not asking for details you're not allowed to give away, rather I'm hoping for a simple Yes or No:
1.Will the events of Game of Thrones Season 6 (Starks reclaiming Winterfell) affect the Forresters in TTGoT S2?
(it was thanks to the Boltons that the Whitehills caused trouble for the Forresters in S1, but now in the most current timeline of events House Bolton is extinct and Gared Tuttle's former black brother Jon Snow is King in the North and considered a Stark, this does seem quite favorable to Stark loyalists like the Forresters, thus I'm really anxious over whether Season q2 of the game will address these events).
P.S. I have a special fondness for House Forrester as it was their game that got me into Game of Thrones in the first place.
Question: Would you consider releasing downloadable soundtracks for your games?
Of course, the one I really want is Sam & Max Season 3 (The Devil's Playhouse). I have the CD sets for Seasons 1 and 2, but I realize a CD set for season 3 probably isn't commercially viable at this point. And I know much of the soundtrack is playable on Jared's blog. I'd still like a real downloadable copy.
It's more than just Sam & Max, though. Many of your games, even the small ones, have distinctive soundtracks, and it can be fun playing them while driving around.
This might be a weird question, but hopefully you or someone from the art department (as IIRC another TTG staffer said they are usually the ones with this kind of info) could answer this for artistic purposes. Pick any TWD game character (that is human and not a baby): how tall (in feet, cm or meters) is that character?
Why in good god's name did you guys not expect backlash from Kenny/Jane's poorly written demise and more on Kenny, what's with these random hordes showing up out of fucking no where? Do you guys know why we chose to save Kenny/Jane? So we can be with them and spend some time with them. What was the point of those choices at end of S2, if this was going to be their fate? Then, let me touch a little bit on Javier, it was extremely misleading when back in E3, when you said that both Clementine and Javier were playable characters. We barely play as Clementine and people didn't buy TWD ANF For Javierwe bought this game for Clementine really. Clementine deserves just as much playable time as Javier. Also why in the hell did you guys take out that flasback with Sandra, if you guys are supposedly trying to introduce Clementine to the " newcomers" then why would you take out something that explores her past and explains a little bit about her character and what did Kevin mean when he said that the premiere was so big that y'all had to cut it into two parts, since when did 1h equal big? I also feel like this season throws away everything from the previous season, not only had you killed the remaining characters from the previous seasons, (except for Clem) but the lack of mentions. This does not feel like a sequel. I finally want to know why you think us The forum users being the "minority" gives you the right to disregard everything we say. You have to understand we are critical and agressive because we love you guys and we love The Walking Dead and we want you guys to do way better, I always had strong faith in you guys and that has been tested with the lack of communication and ignoring everything we asked you guys not to do.
Eh, I see I'm not the only one who is curious about characters height. Would be interesting to know how tall Clem is to see if the harsh conditions in which she grew up made her smaller than the average.
This might be a weird question, but hopefully you or someone from the art department (as IIRC another TTG staffer said they are usually the … moreones with this kind of info) could answer this for artistic purposes. Job I don't even have a question but your answer on the episode length is straight bullshit. Feature length films are over 2 hours most of the time. Also people won't complain if the quality is better. Not sure what "data" you guys look at but everyone wants longer episodes, bigger explorable environments, and more optional conversations but we continue to get short episodes and hardly any optional conversations. I think it's time you guys get back to what made Season One the best game of the year.
Alright, here's my question: How do you choose songs for game soundtracks? Not talking about the awesome work of Jared Emerson-Johnson, but rather about featured songs such as Take Us Back (TwD Season 1) or Busy Earnin' (TftB Episode 1).
Comments
Omg what! Wow!
Dayum
Well...
Tftb, Mcsm and Twau, which is most likely to get a sequel?
I absolutely love the rewind feature, and I'm sure many people would say the same thing! Please bring it back if possible.
Hey Job, can we expect any familiar faces from the previous seasons to show up in ANF? (like the 400 days characters?)
A more condensed version of my question from the previous thread...why appeal to newcomers instead of outright continuing Clem's story?
I'll just repeat my old question.
In regards to TWD, why were conversation options removed from hubs? They really let you get to know the characters more.
Hay job.
Is there anything going to happen with minecraft story mode or is that game done?

If you played the episode right after the release, you would get this.
