Why in good god's name did you guys not expect backlash from Kenny/Jane's poorly written demise and more on Kenny, what's with these random … morehordes showing up out of fucking no where? Do you guys know why we chose to save Kenny/Jane? So we can be with them and spend some time with them. What was the point of those choices at end of S2, if this was going to be their fate? Then, let me touch a little bit on Javier, it was extremely misleading when back in E3, when you said that both Clementine and Javier were playable characters. We barely play as Clementine and people didn't buy TWD ANF For Javierwe bought this game for Clementine really. Clementine deserves just as much playable time as Javier. Also why in the hell did you guys take out that flasback with Sandra, if you guys are supposedly trying to introduce Clementine to the " newcomers" then why would you take out something that explores her past and explains a little bit about her characte… [view original content]
Nu! I have to abandon my merman question! I'm sorry Luke!
Do you know why Javier being left handed as we saw in the beginning teaser trailer and earlier screencaps was dropped in the final game? I thought it was a neat character thingy that not many game companies think of, that and Javi's gun holster looked really trendy. More lefty power please!
Thanks NeonNoir!
Wolf Question: "Will fans of the series be very excited sometime this year?"
Wolf Answer: The last thing we want to d… moreo is get anyone overly excited, especially for anything this year. We also never wanna say never... and neither should you. Keep tweeting at @KevBru and @HalfBakedSteve. Tell them I sent you.
Hmm. Let me check back with the team on this soon and get an answer. We had previously had some EFIGS subtitles in our titles for sure, but I'll need to check back on the status of if/when/where they will be implemented again. Thanks for bringing this up, and I'll relay your inquiry to the team!
Will Italian subtitles be included in the next Telltale games?
Some games are (i.e: Tales from the borderlands, TWD season 1, 400 days) and some games are not (i.e: Minecraft Story mode, The Wolf among us).
Thanks, BHBrowne, happy to be here.. and you seem pretty cool, too!
The hardest choice I've ever had to make in a Telltale game? I can honestly say there was one I just had to make in a table read for ANF that I'm still feeling terrible about... and still completely second guessing. This is coming from someone that already KNEW what it was going to be weeks in advance.
High five to you for being awesome, and stay tuned to the series to discuss what this was at a later time...
Bows. Hello from the UK! Firstly, congratulations on the weight loss, and I'm glad to read you're feeling better! It's really inspiring to s… moreee people achieving personal goals! Anyways, I won't waste any more of your time!
So, this question isn't related to any future titles , but I do have a question regarding your personal playthroughs of the Walking Dead. I asked a pretty specific question about Luke and Kenny last thread, but I'll broaden it a little bit as we only have one question per user. Still keeping the funny minute long video, though.
What was the choice you found the hardest to make in The Walking Dead Games?
For me, it was definitely this one. I'm really curious to see which you found hardest. Gotta know what kinda man you are, Job...
As an aside, a huge 'thank you' for doing this AMA. Really cool to see you on the forums. You seem like a pretty cool guy ^ _ ^
I won't say that I saw anyone in this 3rd episode... but I wouldn't ever count anything out either. Stay on your toes and stay surprised when and if it ever happens! :P
Clem's story IS outright continuing, though it may be largely continuing through the lens of a character that knows very little about her. We did this because we want everyone to be able to share in the experience, and ensure that our stories are inclusive to everybody. Finding a way to make something awesome for fans old and new was a critical aspect of the path ahead for TWD.
I'll just repeat my old question.
In regards to TWD, why were conversation options removed from hubs? They really let you get to know the characters more.
We've just released the COMPLETE ADVENTURES version of the season, and you can look forward to playing it on Nintendo Switch this year as well. So in that respect, there IS something happening with it... so it's definitely not 'done.'
Interesting. In truth, these clusters are a big project put together by the team along with Mr. @KevBru himself. I was actually travelling on world tour with ANF when these went up, and I'm curious myself to know more about what's under the hood. From what I've seen, it's SUPER complex! I'll ping the team when I get back to try to get some more details. Thanks for your question, and for your patience!
When Kevin first announced how the story generator would work in this news article, me and some other people here on the forums got very exc… moreited to see what our cluster had to say about our playstyle as depicted in this picture:
Well, turns out the in-game story generator wasn't nearly as exciting. It gives a very very very brief and general statement about the payer's playstyle and two sentences regarding the ending we chose. My question is, are there pictures and descriptions of the other clusters and are they ever going to be shown to the public? I think it would be something very interesting for us, the players, to see.
We consider Telltales TWD to be YOUR story... and it's a story that's tailored to YOU.
How it will feel to YOU may evolve over time.. and most certainly will evolve by the end of ANF.
Other areas of TWD we've explored, like Michonne, are clear NOT Clem's story, but we consider it all a part of a series about the decisions YOU are making.
Also, thanks for the well wishes and happy everyone is alive and back on their feet or paws....
Glad to see you and your kitty cat are feeling better, being operated is never pleasant. Also, I hope you will have fun in London, meeting f… moreans and working on the super duper secret project.
Now my question is, do you consider Telltales' TWD to be Clementine's story?
So, as an incredibly professional and considerate individual, who always keeps his promises, decided to delete the original AMA thread, I'll have to keep things a little shorter and less detailed this time around, but I'll be sure to still outline one of my queries with A New Frontier.
Question: Why is the pacing in A New Frontier so considerably fast as opposed to the previous instalments in the series? Is there any particular reasons the writers have decided to go this way or is this just for the first two episodes, as a quick introduction?
Explanation: I've noticed that there are very little down-times in this season and everything just seems it's moving at a high velocity. It's like most of the scenes are just constant steps to move the story forward, from A to B, from dramatic point in the story to another, yet there's no time for us, as the players, to digest what's happened so that it could have more weight on our mind. Now, I'm not saying a fast paced story is a problem, it's not, but it's that with this season, everything's moving so fast that nothing leaves much of an impact in the long run. Like, I had barely gotten to know Javier and his family before they were already in conflict with the antagonists and then Javier gets kidnapped, and then we meet Clem, and then we're in Prescott, and then someone's dead, and then we're locked up, etc, etc. It's all just too fast and I think it's effecting my ability to actually care for the characters, as I never get a chance to know more about them or what they're going through.
Take for example, Conrad- a character who lost his close friend, Francine, at the hands of The New Frontier, which is of course for him, a truly traumatising and distressing thing to witness. It's the perfect way to make us sympathise with him, as he's gone through personal trauma and while we mightn't have known Francine, we could at least see how it effects Conrad. Instead, though, we get a brief scene of him shouting before eventually just getting over her death and deciding to "fuck it", and moving on, without it being mentioned again. In season 1, we had time to understand how things effected characters, such as let's say, Shawn's death. We didn't know Shawn very well, like Francine, but we see later in the episode, through dialogue with Kenny, how it's effected him and how he's began to blame himself for Shawn's death. It's also referenced later on in the season, and we know it's something that continues to bother him throughout the story. We don't have the same with Conrad. I believe this to be a problem that could easily be solved by just introducing some more downtimes in the game, where we can really interact with the characters and get to know them, like with season 1.
Hi Job, glad to see you're doing good and sorry to hear about your kitty.
One question per user? Alright.
Are the writing team and game designers aware of the disconnect that most players feel with this season? What I'm saying is that because we're playing as someone we didn't want to be playing as in the first place it's hard to concentrate on the game and this ends up hurting parts of the game such as Clementine's flashbacks, which so far they have failed at making anyone feel emotional for Clementine.
Thanks Job, really wish I could hang out with you in London!
I'll ask my question as it returned to the second page and I'm not sure you'll see it (and, after reading it agin, I thought it wasn't that clear).
Question : When Telltale is making a cliffhanger at the end (like GoT or Batman) does it necessary mean that a second season is planned ?
If not, isn't it risky to let a story "unfinished" ?
(Example, in my opinion, The Wolf Among us story's was finish. No season 2 seems necessary for the story other than have the pleasure to replay lovable characters.
Game of Thrones, on the other hand, seems to be unfinished at the end of the season, and let the consumer think/know that there will be a second season)
I've seen with the Melissa Hutchinson interview that in some way is there cut content for the plot or the development of ANF, more precisely about the Carver-esque character, this kind of backstory of Clem and AJ getting separated, and these awesome and emotional scenes. I know that the season isn't over yet and hence we can see it in some way in the next episodes.
My question is, which was your criteria as a company to discard these content at that moment, if, for that time and for obvious reasons, you didn't have any fan feedback?
First off, Great job with ANF, really enjoying the season so far! I like how we see Clem through each season, raising her and teaching her how to survive S1, S2 putting that into effect and growing the character, and now seeing the end results over the past few years.
Main question: Will (should, and I REALLY hope, there be a season 4) Clem return as the main playable character again for another season. As well as for longer periods of times in later episodes of this season?
I will answer that one. Left handed people are a shifty bunch who are not to be trusted. It is a fact that every horrible dictator in history has been a lefty. Hitler was a lefty...so too Stalin. Truly the problems we face today is because you left handed mutants did not get the evil beat out of you by a kindly god fearing nun. So Lilacsbloom, when you are out probably stealing stuff a hard working right handed person owns...remember that is why Javier was made just right!
Nu! I have to abandon my merman question! I'm sorry Luke!

Fun question, in Season 1 you can give clem an apple and she mentions she loves apples. In Season 3 she eats an apple when she meets javi, was this an intentional callback or just a coincidence?
Ah I see. Thanks for answering, Job!
That is surprising, I guess the majority of players love to live with their choices, heh. Still, I … morethink having the option open to rewind again will be nice. Whatever the players rewind or not, it is their choice.
Do you feel like the pacing and execution of A New Frontier was good? Many fans feel that the pacing and execution was not up to expectations but the TellTale staff believe it was satisfactory(which is why some fans are angry).
Doesn't an animated series of comic book series that are a 100% direct adaptation sound like an incredibly good idea? It would be a win-win for you guys. I'd love to see the beautiful art of The Walking Dead come to life, figuratively and It'd be a great alternative for the fans, and newcomers alike. An episodic animated series that mirrors the comics much more closer than AMC's The Walking Dead could be a great way to get newcomers of the series up to speed with the comic book readers, and quite frankly you could arguably get away with so much more with an animated series.

Question was the fight against the bandits in S1 of TWD going to be different?
Just asking came up in my mind
That is entirely subjective.
Great statement, but its not quite articulate and pointed, thus unlikely to solicit a response.

Yes. Confirmed!
It's fair to say that Clem already DOES have a last name...
It's also fair to say that information still hasn't been conveyed....
...maybe stay tuned?
Out of all of those? One of them for sure. Definitely likely. :P
I won't say that I saw anyone in this 3rd episode... but I wouldn't ever count anything out either. Stay on your toes and stay surprised when and if it ever happens! :P

Nothing was 'removed' - they maybe simply didn't happen. That doesn't mean they won't happen later...

How do you feel about the Ace Attorney series?
Don't know if you've answered this but who was your favourite 400 days character?

Clementine's hat: Blue or purple?
Or Minecraft...

Why did all the members of the Cabin Group have to die in Season 2?

How come it wasn't included in episodes 1 and 2? The earlier the better i say, that way we can get to know the characters more
How do you solve a problem like Maria?
(Right! Editing!)
Thanks for the reply Job, I've always respected you for being so fun-loving towards this community
Well... I dont think you mean tftb. But you had a huge partnership with Mojang and WB than with Gearbox... Hell yeah i'm excited if its WOLF!
Btw, why keep those lips sealed till now?

It's blue, it shows it in the key art for anf. They even sell the hats and it's blue
I would say that the rewind feature is important, even if almost Noone uses it (I use it sometimes, though).
Hey Job I got a question!
