Hello Job,
I'm glad to hear you are doing well, I feel like many people don't stop to think that this company is run by people who live lives outside of work and therefore deserve a level of understanding and patience.
Now to my one question.
Will we ever see a playable LGBT character in a Telltale game? We saw it in amazing choice driven games such as Life is Strange and Dragon Age/Mass Effect. I feel like it not only adds demension to a character but opens up many big scenarios that many fans can relate to and feel identified with in our current society.
The shitstorm that would ensue if we played an an lgbtq character though. I mean we had people complaining that there hasn't been a white main series playable character in TWD yet, if this happened there'd be even more people ranting about how telltale are 'SJWs'.

Job, I know things can happen unexpectedly in life, preventing you from answering our questions, but next time, could you please try to let us know as soon as possible? A tweet or a short comment in here telling us that something came up, instead of telling us a day or several days later? That would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't put Life is Strange up there as a good example of that. Commander Shepard was fine in ME because he/she was mainly a blank canvas where you could create your own story about who they are whereas Max had an established character and personality and the idea of choosing what sexuality they were is honestly really weird.

We consider Telltales TWD to be YOUR story... and it's a story that's tailored to YOU.
How it will feel to YOU may evolve over time.. and… more most certainly will evolve by the end of ANF.
Other areas of TWD we've explored, like Michonne, are clear NOT Clem's story, but we consider it all a part of a series about the decisions YOU are making.
Also, thanks for the well wishes and happy everyone is alive and back on their feet or paws....
I can already imagine a gang of fans surrounding Job in London saying questions and getting their Hidden Blades ready
Back in topic, What is your excuse for these short episodes in the new videogame of The Walking Dead, A New Frontier? I'm not trying to be rude, I swear! I just don't understand why the episode leght is so short. I know that a larger episode means more work, but I think it's worth the effort. I know you have an explanation to justify the lack of said effort, and even though know it won't be satisfying, I'd like to hear it. Art is for the artist, blahblahblah, I know, but this can be hardly considered art. I feel (I know) you are making this for money, one can tell this work lacks the inspiration the first Season had. Therefore, the art is not for the artist anymore (though a work made for money can never be art), it's for the expectator, for the consumer. And it hurts to see such a masterpiece like the first Season if this game has fallen into oblivion to reveal a work made for money like A New Frontier. I know I may be wrong, and forgive me if that is the case, but if feels like you guys don't write for love, but you write for money.
Alright, only one question this time. After reading through this thread I've filtered out a few I had that have already been answered or will be later on (Supershow, GotG, etc.)
Here is your question: What do teams or general employees do to relieve stress or build team cooperation? I've heard stories of groups from companies going out to play some sports or play some games in office as a way to ease everyone's psyches. I'm sure with the amount of Live production with deadlines and some choice words from impatient fans here can get to some people. I just want to know the answer of how you guys have made it to this point, without all of you burning down the office.
Thanks for this AM(a)A. I'm deeply sorry that some things got out of control here with the last thread. Though I completely understand that you have life problems, and you can't always be here. For next time, maybe give a bit more info as to what is going on or why you were unable to show up. Riled up people can quickly jump to conclusions here.
Considering the percent of answered questions on this thread is about 10%, I think a much better idea would be for Job to do a QnA where there's a dedicated thread that's closed after an hour or so. Job should pick an hour/few hours at a time where he knows there will be absolutely no interruptions and answer the questions he gets asked. Because with the current situation, it's extremely EXTREMELY unlikely he's gonna come back and answer all the questions from many pages ago. A set time and date where he is completely free would, IMO, be a better option. Because with this way, so many people with so many good questions are being missed.
What is the plan going forward with determinant characters with both ANF and GoT we have several determinants and it would really make the games much worse if they all pull a Nick or Sarah and have little to no role until they are killed off. Understandable if you don't answer this second question but it goes with the first has Telltale considered not doing determinant characters anymore?
We cant make a dedicated hour or so because 1. not everyone would be able to have that hour free and 2. he has already missed multiple scheduled meetups for two weeks in a row now.
The way it is now is fine. With the large fan base this game/company has, lots of questions are too be expected. If there are a lot they shouldn't be limited and instead they should have multiple staff members answering questions, not just one.

It might help balance out the pretty-much-straight playable characters we've had so far. That could be rectified via flashback, but chances aren't high that we'll get one that involves that.

Yes, absolutely. This is not working very well. I also really appreciate you trying to work behind the scenes to get the community the answers they actually deserve.

I'm not chastising Job whether or not he has access to the Internet while in mid-air, I'm just curious about whether there are reliable wi-fi in planes since I've never been on one before.
Some planes do have wifi as i have seem it advertised for certain airlines but i think reliable access depends on where they are flying and it can be expensive.
I wonder if the planes have wi-fi?

Can we expect the menu screens to be the same style as in ANF and Batman in your future titles? Because to be honest, they're pretty bland and boring, at least in my opinion. I truly hope you guys don't stick to this style and try to make a different menu screen for each game, like you've done in the past. I know it's not really a big deal, but it still adds to the experience.

Making an announcement on Twitter like a week before or so would give people a heads up so they can prepare to make it. Is it fair to some people who are asleep at the time? No. But it's a hell of a lot more fairer being pretty much guaranteed to have their questions answered. It's a lot better of a system to me opposed to an open thread with a 5% chance of something getting answered. And to address the point about Job missing many scheduled meetups, there's pretty much no excuse. But if he knows for a fact that he wouldn't be able to make the hour, it's not hard to send out a tweet/make a post pushing it back to a later date. I'm not trying to be hostile or anything so forgive me if the wording sounds that way haha.

I'm not sure that this forum would be accessible on an international flight. I can barely access threads this big sometimes, and I pretty much stay in one place with my iPad.
A plane like that has wifi.
It's probably not free, but plane wifi only cost about 10 dollars, and I doubt Job isn't going to use any wifi on the long flight.
Yeah, I totally feel you on that. Back when Job was absent during his first AMA, I was trying to ask around and see if some community team staff members could possibly set up something else in Job's absence, but then Job came back on with this thread so things kinda came to a halt as I figured Job would take it from there.
With Job being in and out, I can once more try to probe around and see if staff like Caroline or Nathan would also be allowed and able to hop on and chat in Job's absence.
Like, I was thinking a two or three way thread with Job, Caroline, and maybe Nathan would be better than just Job considering Job is evidently busy off in the UK.

LGBT?

Lesbian Gay Bi Transsexual
Hey we never know maybe Javier is bi.
Did he say where he went? He seems to be gone again.

Can we expect more credit songs in the future, one for each episode, like S2 had?
He was on a plane to England, so really long flight and still cant seem to answer more than 5 questions.
What happend to the Super Show and Game of Thrones?
Should there be an LGBT main simply for the sake of having an LGBT main? Players should have a choice on the matter rather than be forced into it.
After Episode 3 has been released, can we expect episodes 4 and 5 to come in a monthly basis?
Thanks for the answer, it's great to see you interacting with us like that!

I think that sounds great.
It was Alive Inside if I remember correctly, at least it was a nice throwback to S1.
