I swear some of people on this forum have never worked a customer service based job before. All you need to do is work at a busy restaurant or retail store for a few months to understand how crazy customers can get. I really wanted to ask Job a question, but that opportunity was once again ruined by a select group of people on this forum.
As someone who works over 50 hours a week as a civil engineer and does other things outside of work, I completely understand what Job means by the TellTale team are real people with real lives. I have several "customers" with my job (one being the general public), but I also have personal things like family and my own well being. While I'm willing sacrifice 2 extra hours of my day to better my company and out "customers," it would be foolish, inefficient, and detrimental to myself, the company, and our customers if I slave myself to work.
Job can't be a slave to the forum because he has more than just us to deal with. Only a fraction of the fan base is on here. People on here aren't the first time TellTale has "alienated" it's customers. If TellTale only cared about it's current fan base, TellTale would have never done Jurassic Park or The Walking Dead. They would be working on Sam & Max 5, a third Strong Bad's Cool Game, or another Monkey Island with no intentions to change up their gameplay or explore new franchises. If TellTale had done that, they quite frankly wouldn't be here today. A company cannot survive on just its current customer base. It has to look for ways to attract new people. While it will anger its current fanbase in the short run, it is for the better in the long run.
Anyways, I'm done. I'm just real upset I will be missing out on an opportunity once again. I'm also upset we are close to running yet another member of the TelllTale team and/or game off the forum. We scared off Melissa Hutchison, Gavin Hammond, Laura Perusco, several other staff members, practically crucified Caroline within her first few months, and now we're after Job. While this place has had less toxic past than the past, those that are bad are worse than what I experienced during TWD: Season 2. Hopefully this place will get better. @JobJStauffer_TTG and @mostlypoptarts, I hope you guys do stick around every now and then. I challenge the few in this place that ruin the experience here to get better and realize that there is more to life than this forum. Until then, peace. eRock92 out.
I know this is off topic for a AMA but if anyone is interested in Job's VR weight loss Upload VR wrote an article about it.

The tally is, shall I say, a bit higher than that even. Why do you all think we revised the rules to be a bit more focused on not personally attacking or scapegoating staff?

Even though Job is not currently answering questions, I'm trying to see if I can help arrange something else as an alternative. Sit tight. (Definitely won't be immediate or anything, but hopefully you get the idea!)
I agree, Blind. It's just the negativity can ruin an experience. The forum literally ruined Season 2 for me. I could enjoy the latter half of the season because the negativity burned me out. I'm gonna play through all the previous iterations soon to see how it goes now that a lot time has passed.

I assumed he couldn't answer on the plane either due to no wifi access or wifi being too expensive, it would be too difficult to use a VR headset to exercise on a plane due to space (unless he wants to hit another passenger )
I'm sorry but if Season 3 wasn't so half-assed this wouldn't have happened in the first place. I understand what you said about the Season 2-"era" and it can't be changed, but people are annoyed at how Season 3 (shouldn't even be called Season 3 due to how bad it is compared to previous seasons) turned out. I understand that we sometimes go... too far - but Job could've at least told us that he wasn't able to make it (literally takes like, what, a minute?) but instead he made us wait days/weeks before he let us know. Him staying quiet during all this won't help anything (and I probably don't help either with this reply but I'm trying to justify what's happening).

To be fair, I would say the voice actors in particular were sporadic cameos on the forums at best - but, yeah, Telltale used to be well-known for high levels of dev/fan interaction on the forums prior to Walking Dead. Season 2 definitely didn't help much.
Wait the voice actors used to post here? These forums turn on people like Melissa and Gavin who we love so much...no wonder devs and others avoid us.
I mean how the fuck do you guys scare off Melissa?

Were only two episodes in! You will most certainly play as her some more by the finale. Stay tuned. Stay patient. And let's discuss this one after the series if over...
Why is Clem's playtime so short? She was promised as the secondary protagonist to Javier, but so far she's only had 10 minutes of playtime, … moreeven less depending which flashback in both episodes, while Javier has had the rest to himself. It's been said that no character takes the backseat, but as of right now, it seems that Clem's time is getting shafted for Javier. It seems unfair to her. I feel the co protagonist deal in S3 should've been worked like it was in TFTB, which most enjoyed.
To be fair, I would say the voice actors in particular were sporadic cameos on the forums at best - but, yeah, Telltale used to be well-know… moren for high levels of dev/fan interaction on the forums prior to Walking Dead. Season 2 definitely didn't help much.
We make a LOT of episodes every year. There is a place in our toolset to enter the name of any episode we are manufacturing. During production, before we had a title for the episode, I believe this was entered into the toolset as a placeholder, before we decided how to name the two-parter episodes. On one or more platform versions of the game, some but not all players caught this. It was swiftly patched in the first update. Yes, it really IS an episode. But also yes, sometimes we goof. ;P
question: However, many films, indeed the most popular, are well over 2 hours long. How do you reconcile this with your approach to episode lengths?
answer: Many films, including many popular animated films, are much less than 2 hours long. There really is no set length, but we reconcile that 'feature length' general rule of thumb by considering the length of ALL movies... not just the ones that are over 2 hours long. :P
You have said episodes are shorter because they are feature length, like a movie, and designed to be enjoyed in one sitting. However, many f… moreilms, indeed the most popular, are well over 2 hours long. How do you reconcile this with your approach to episode lengths?
Hmm. I wouldn't say we're never working with Anadel again, we love those guys! They haven't been in ANF so far, but we like them for a lot of our projects. You can actually hear some of their work in Minecraft: Story Mode. Let us as Anadel about some of the tracks and availability, and hopefully we'll have some news soon.
Hello job myself and many fans noticed that Anadel is no longer making music for this season, is there a particular reason for that? also lo… morets of the clementine versions of their songs were removed from Spotify. i tried asking Anadel why but they never replied, do you know why?

I remember when I replied to Gavin and praised him for his work as Kenny. He replied back and thanked me....I was so happy. And Adam is really nice and cool too.
I wish more voice actors appears so I can praise them and talk to them.

I've been away from forums for a few days now and I was eager to check back on Job's AMA and now I see this. Did it actually go "way out of hand"? Why those people weren't banned if it was out of hand or is that a hyperbole? It's hard to recognise such things in non-verbal way tbf.
Anyway, Job I hope you and your cat feel well. VR makes wonders I suppose. My question is:
Could you describe the way Telltale receives and analyses feedback that they receive from the fans? By "TellTale" I mean everyone who works on the game itself like Story writers, level designers, engineers, artists and such.

Sounds amazing, he looks better and happier.
Wasn't the original title "Divided We Fall"?
I think he means "Episode 302" which is normally how they name episode before they get officially named.
You cannot hide the fact that is a Monty Python reference
Huh? Nah that was Don't_Look_Back, I'm Dont_Look_Back. The other one is my evil literate twin.
Hmm, interesting
Don't think I'm not onto you...
blind get off pls don't make this sexual
We all know that's step six of the plan, Ozzy!
What are steps 1-5?
does step 3 involve kissing Fiona?

i was using the idiom

Fam could you hit me up with some Rhys socks? This is a serious question by the way. I'm a big fan of those socks.
Me too fam, Job pretty please hit me up with some Rhys socks!

You ok homie?
This was a funny and good goof though!
