Ah. That teaser, again... totally more about vibe and not at all representative of the final narrative. Definitely taking note to your lefty power feedback, though! We've got quite a few lefties at Telltale....
Question: Will we ever see a playable LGBT character in a Telltale game? We saw it in amazing choice driven games such as Life is Strange an… mored Dragon Age/Mass Effect. I feel like it not only adds demension to a character but opens up many big scenarios that many fans can relate to and feel identified with in our current society.
Answer: LGBT characters have been represented in multiple stories of ours... but I suppose you're right. We don't really have a stand-out LGBT playable character now, do we? I'd love to see it myself, and it's only a matter of time. Actually... now that I think about it.. there may have already been at least one playable LGBT character already, but that aspect of their life may not have been clearly articulated in the story. LGBT pride and inclusiveness is VERY important to Telltale.... and I would not be surprised we saw a more prominent and playable role for someone in the near future.
It could honestly be a fair few people, I personally would like it being Fiona, since that aspect of her is never really detailed, I'm aware of that dialogue option, but she just gives a weird glare/smirk, and then it cuts to the next scene.
Plus that doesn't really mean anything anyway, so yeah it would be nice, I like Fiona.
Pick any TWD game character (that is human and not a baby): how tall (in feet, cm or meters) is that character?
FRS Jacket zombie. 6 feet, zero inches tall.
Thank you for your time Telltale, I appreciate you talking to us, I'm new on the forums itself, but I hope i haven't caused any conflict, frustration, or any disputes on here, and I hope you are doing well Job, and that you have a great year.
I haven't seen any hostility on the AMA, it seemed like the questions were rather civil and eloquent, and I didn't see any harassment (I read through it all before it was deleted as well), so that confused me. If you just needed a new thread because the old one was getting too full, that might have been a better way of putting it, but I'm unsure why you deleted it, because I couldn't find any harassment.
I'm not sure if anyone at telltale has seen what I have posted previously at all either, but I hope they take the criticisms and discussions into account.
Is Telltale going to be putting more effort into improving/remaking their engine? Batman and S3 still have a huge amount of technical problems, from 2D character models to clipping problems, that I feel seriously need to be addressed. And I'm worried Telltale is holding their games back by releasing them on IOS, because its seriously not up to par visually with other Indie teams in 2017.
How much attention is paid to small details in the world visually, and animation quality? Your previous games have had a lot of animation issues, and low resolution details in the world, which confuses me, since player input and changing camera angles isn't present for most scenes, so you should have a lot more resources available to artistically beautify the environment and detail animations. I really hope you improve on this, because details matter.
Post is definitely far too long, so I'm really sorry, I just need to get it out of my system, thank you if you manage to respond.
Job, can you go around the office and give everyone a hug for me?
Making games is hard and they deserve it. That, and I rather like the idea of you walking in, grabbing random people, and saying "here, this is from the internet".

Do you feel like the pacing and execution of A New Frontier was good?
Answer: You ask if it "was" good. That puts it in the past tense. I… more thought the first two episodes were paced briskly and tensely, and ultimately, once all five are played back to back, we think there might be a different feeling as a whole. Worth revisiting this later once the series concludes!

Thanks Adam Roberts!
I may be super slow to respond, and am USUALLY busy travelling the world for some reason I can't talk about that is … moreTelltale related....
But I'm always happy to pop in and see what you guys are up to.
I'd honestly love to have a more regular Google Hangout or Twitch stream where we can answer questions more efficiently and quickly. I'd be cool with AMA like this every week, so long as I didn't have to type it all out one by one.
That said, I will be attempting to finish what I started, and here's hoping we can keep the fun-love goin!
Thanks for being awesome!

Athena was articulated during the story, and he is referring to it being a playable character, possibly one of the 400 days cast, Fiona possibly, someone in GOT theoretically.
"Consumable. Digestible." ...that's the exact damned problem with s3 telltale. Don't treat us like consumers, treat us as intelligent human beings like you did with season 1. There is plenty of consumer kitsch out there already. We're suffocating from it.
Here's his answer about that :
Answer: Yes you can ask that! In general, there really is no set time for any episode we create. For the m… moreost part, lately we steer towards wanting to make each episode about feature-length. Effectively, about the length of a movie, where you might find yourself starting the game after dinner, and finished before it's time for bed. Consumable. Digestible. And easy enough to finish for you to talk about it the next day with friends. In making that content, we want to give you enough tailored story to find differences worth discussing, however subtle or obvious they may be. Sometimes we'll play an episode, and a little longer in playing/running time feels right. Sometimes it's a little shorter, but there's enough meat in it to feel just as right. We always listen to feedback, and we're listening right now! We don't think there will ever be a set running time like TV, but we like the flexibility of 'feature leng… [view original content]
Q: Could you describe the way Telltale receives and analyses feedback that they receive from the fans? By "TellTale" I mean everyone who wor… moreks on the game itself like Story writers, level designers, engineers, artists and such.
A: It's a cross between looking at decision and play style data for one. That's super important, and gives us a scientifcally accurate slice of knowledge on which players are doing what. We then look to a wide variety of different sources to both observe and LISTEN to feedback from players. That includes, Twitch, Youtube, feedback on twitter, Facebook, and more -- and of course, this very forum itself. The feedback informs our process as we develop live, and we consider the users the last part of the live development process itself.

Yeah, youre right, I also quite enjoy the new view of Clementine that we get from a third person perspective in this game, although its a bit weird to have to earn her trust and whatnot
I think we all hear the desire from some fans to have playable Clem... but I also think we're still on a certain course that we are excited … moreabout that we wouldn't to share ahead of time lest we spoil the story. It's too soon to talk about content that might come AFTER ANF, but let's revisit this question after the finale. :P

Actually I'm a mix XD I'm both left and right handed, but for different things. I can write, draw and throw a ball with my left, but I use a computer mouse, cut with scissors and use a bow in archery right handed. It's really weird. I forgot the proper term for it.
I will answer that one. Left handed people are a shifty bunch who are not to be trusted. It is a fact that every horrible dictator in hist… moreory has been a lefty. Hitler was a lefty...so too Stalin. Truly the problems we face today is because you left handed mutants did not get the evil beat out of you by a kindly god fearing nun. So Lilacsbloom, when you are out probably stealing stuff a hard working right handed person owns...remember that is why Javier was made just right!

I personally didn't perceive it as choosing sexuality - you choose between being romantically attracted to chloe or not. In my mind every max is bisexual
I wouldn't put Life is Strange up there as a good example of that. Commander Shepard was fine in ME because he/she was mainly a blank canvas… more where you could create your own story about who they are whereas Max had an established character and personality and the idea of choosing what sexuality they were is honestly really weird.
Do you consider that to be a good reason to not try to give a proper answer? There's a lot of young people here, and people who's first language isn't English, so I consider this response to be quite condescending. If anything, I think it would've been better to just ignore Lee's post.
I have a question but I'm unsure on how to word it. I hope it makes sense nevertheless. As a huge fan of TWDG and as someone who appreciates the Third Season, can we be certain that TellTale can understand why we make certain decisions within the game? Please allow me to give a little bit of context so that this actually makes sense.
The vast majority quickly made a 'rash' decision in 'Ties that Bind Ep. 2' (I don't want to say it to avoid spoilers) which seems to have upset Clem. The issue is, some of us may have thought ahead and allowed the 'person' to live and comply with him NOT to make Clem. feel betrayed, but to actually save both Clem AND the man. This is so that later I can express to Clem. that the choice I had made was actually part of a plan that I had made at that second to kill all the heat in that situation.
I guess my main issue is that I just don't want Clem. to feel betrayed when that wasn't my intention when I made that certain choice. So my question is something along the lines of can we actually justify ourselves to Clem. and or make it up to Clem. and restore / improve our relation with her as Javier?
question: However, many films, indeed the most popular, are well over 2 hours long. How do you reconcile this with your approach to episode … morelengths?
answer: Many films, including many popular animated films, are much less than 2 hours long. There really is no set length, but we reconcile that 'feature length' general rule of thumb by considering the length of ALL movies... not just the ones that are over 2 hours long. :P

Well that was unexpected. Good on ya Job!
Are you kidding me?...
I am sure they are degenerates that could have used a nun to beat the wicked out of their left hands.
I think I know who you are meaning.

Awesome, hopefully we'll get see more stuff like this down the line in ANF
You mean Athena? What option was it pls?
Aaaaaand a cliffhanger.
You got me hyped, i really hope these next 3 eps turn out to be fucking amazing
That's so adorable.
Its ok, at least you DO respond and try are trying ur best to stay active on forums these days
Looking at the rapid developent of ttg, i dont think those days are far
Live streams are best to avoid typing then
Thats why i love what you do, even your teasers are most interesting
Cheers
Thank YOU for being our awesome Job!
Ummm... I know this is my second question but i have to try to ask, IS S3 THE LAST OF TTG TWD? :O
You're breaking the rules! I'm telling on you!
I just tried. Its ok if job doesnt answer
What game have you guys been playing? We already have an LGBT main > Javi...the idiot seems not to know it yet, somehow. But the majority of us do.
Athena was articulated during the story, and he is referring to it being a playable character, possibly one of the 400 days cast, Fiona possibly, someone in GOT theoretically.
It's harmless Dojo pls.

LEFTY POWEEEER!
Edit: oh, and hope your cat is well and doing okay.

Lol, double post

Ambidextrous.
Yesh that's the one XD ambidexythingy
Yeah I think it was Fiona.
I'm not sure how the two things you've written work with one another.
No there shouldn't be an LGBT main just for that purpose.
Does that entail that any LGBT main must be a choice...no? Why would it?
Lee was black and wasn't black for that purpose. Did you have any issue that players couldn't choose to play as a white person?
That doesn't mean LGBT people wouldn't exist in it though. I mean this person isn't asking for the story of season 4 to be about homophobia?
Job once again find some lame excuse not to answer a question.
What else is new?
I personally didn't perceive it as choosing sexuality - you choose between being romantically attracted to chloe or not. In my mind every max is bisexual

What about their role? that was the main question, thanks for answering of course.
Can we expect anymore TWDG merchandise? I think alot of fans would appreciate more merch.

answer: pretty much all movies nominated for oscars are OVER 2 hours long
I never implied it wouldn't exist, I just don't believe anyone (or most at best) would care who you have hots for when everyone is dying.
