Playing video games and watching TV (mostly cartoons).
Procrastination and Masturbating
Spending time on the internet, video games, game design, creative writing (mostly fanfiction), listening to chillstep, Legos, doodling, etc.
Surfing the web, watching movies and rating them on IMDB, playing video games, and trying to find time to make films.
Video games, watching and reviewing movies/TV shows, internet
Drinking copious amounts of liquor and complaining habitually about others' creations.
I'm basically a hipster.
I make music, play games, repair semi-trucks, build boats, work on vintage Chevy vehicles, snowmobile, and reenact games and movies.
Trying to watch a 45-minute episode in 20 minutes.
Hipsters want you to believe that they drink copious amounts of liquor.
They can only drink Frappuchino™.
I don't know man, I've seen some hipsters kill a whole 30oz bottle of bourbon by themselves within a few hours.
Learning Japanese, sometimes Chinese, collecting hockey cards, stalking Asian women, internet trolling, watching porn, sleeping.
Writing, listening to good music, listening to bad music and complain about it, more writing, watching The Simpsons, even more writing, playing video games, sitting in front of my laptop and now knowing what to do.
Oh, and writing. Did I say writing?
Guitar, hiking, sword-fighting, writing, reading physiological stuff, sleeping and failing at life.
Music, videogames, YouTube and rarely watching a movie are my "main" hobbies. I do enjoy spending my time with friends as well, but that doesn't happen as often as it should.
Eating all kinds of chicken while playing cringy/bad/fuckedup/average
(looking at you telltale)games
Se what I did there? No. _.
Ok il stop ⛔ lel
May I ask what kind of sword fighting ?
Listening to music, reading, trying futilely to come up with ideas for a fantasy book, gushing over certain videogames I don't have money to buy, and sleeping.
Playing games (mostly story driven)
Playing baseball
Hanging out with friends
Sleeping
Pretty normal things.
Historical reenactment with actual replicas. Early middle ages, Viking/Carolingian age. One-handed sword and sometimes shield. Sadly I'm too scrawny to fight with a proper axe.
So do ypu actually practice hema or just fun hacking on onanother?
Both actually. You practice something yourself?
No but im thinking about doing it but where I live there is no hema near enough, but there is kendo ( which I finde interesting too) I just wanted to ask about your expiriences in this sport and if you have thoughts on kendo?
Don't get me wrong, I'm no expert, most of my knowledge about hema comes from the internet and I've never had a proper instructor or anything. Mostly we just have fun practising and learning from each other's mistakes. I think all you need to start is to get the proper equipment and a friend to train with.
I don't know much about kendo, but I think it requires a certain flexibility - arent Japanese martial arts also part of kendo? - so you would need to know basics and in this case shool or course is better cause they probably start from the scrach.
I think the best for you is to collect some money as this is rather expensive hobby if you want to be serious about it; start running, exercising in general, you'll find it very helpful as fighting its exhausting as fuck.
As far as I know kendo is only sword fighting. I don't have friends that are interested in hema.
Then make them man! I'm sure there are a lot of places you can find some, for example conventions or history reconstruction events. Or just pass on this hobby to your actual friends, it worked for me.
The passing on didn't work I tried and there are not really those events you spoke of where I live. I guess I will just check the kendo out. Thank you for your advice.
Playing games, surfing the web, listening to music, writing short horror stories, exercising, and cooking.
You're welcome, let me know how this turned out, kendo sounds interesting.
Sure I'm planning on going on friday to the beginner training
Writing, reading, drawing, watching cartoons and playing vidya games.
Be careful you don't get carpal tunnel syndrome. Lol!
I love exploring new places, love walking through woods, everything that is connected to paranormal or mythology, music that spans a dozen genres and a hundred of years, papercrafting, coding (html, css, vb),...
What kind of music?
So I just had the firts training session but I picked the day where they mostly talked and showed how to keep you weapon working, but the last half hour we did some basic cutting fromabove and tge foward and backwards steps, ecerybody was very nice and I will go there again next week. ( the half hour was already quite a bit exausting )
I absolutely adore Video games as a story telling medium, movies just doesnt quite do it for me, playing video games immerses you in the story in a way that movies never could. I guess I am a bit odd in that I prefer good stories over good gameplay, as long as the interactivity is there.
I do wish that more people would make game like Telltale/Life is Strange/The Witcher/Mass Effect, where dialogue and how you approach situations is a meaningful part of the game. When dialogue and approach becomes a more meaningful part of a game, its alot more immersive, and you feel like you actually get to know the characters in the game, rather than some games, where its just an interactive movie and you are along for the ride.
I wanna get more into cooking, I really like cooking, but I am really bad at getting ideas for what to cook.
I want to read more books, but again, I have problems finding books that might interest me, (not that there is nothing that interests me, its just that I dont know how to go about looking for books that might interest me)
Mostly 70's and 80's era Rock theme. I play the bass guitar and sing almost all backing and harmony vocals in my band.
Misread title. Stand by my response.
That sounds like a very nice and easy going community you got yourself into. Hope you'll have fun, man, good luck.
Have any music posted?
Thanks
