You could always do both. It's what I've done and plan on doing. I personally started with female Shepard because I'm female, then made a male one. I enjoyed both perspectives and the romances that came with them (Garrus and Tali for life ).
Have no clue whether I should play a male or a female character, I know its not a big part of the game, but as a male myself, I would really… more hate to be unable to romance one of the females if they are a really nice character, such as Tali in ME2 and 3, but on the other hand, playing as a female would be really interesting from a roleplay perspective, since I wouldnt just be making the choices as "Myself" like I did with Male Shepard
Oh I'm already in love with both the Ryders when I'm ready to play the game. Also I'm a HUGE fan Garrus and Tali when I played Fem Shepard(For Garrus romance)and Male Shepard (For Tali Romance)I love them both when playing the Mass Effect Trilogy. For Garrus and Tali Keelah Se'Lai

Tali'Zorah vas Normandy is definitely my favorite squadmate from the original trilogy, (she only beats Garrus because she was my romance partner, Garrus is best bro in any game ever)

Nah its more because Femryder and Guyryder are actually 2 separate characters in the canon game the difference that one of the 2 had their
Stasis pods Malfunction. Unless the information i saw was wrong then its most likely because of that.
Confirmed! One of every 10 choices femryder makes will not have an agreeable option and guyryder will randomly be incapable of completing more than one objective at a time and forget sidequests.
Christine Lakin, voice of Jane in The Walking Dead - Season 2 plays Pelessaria B'Sayle (Peebee).
Natalie Dormer, voice and face of Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones: The Telltale Series plays Dr. Lexi.
Kumail Nanjiani, voice of Reggie in The Walking Dead - Season 2 plays Jarun Tann.
I'm going to have a hard time not having constant throwbacks to Telltale games while playing Andromeda : p.
Mmmh disliking nowadays means they still have doubts about the game.Which is already what I went though, but I think it will succeed and I love the gameplay video a lot.
It's honestly hard to think of these people as the vocal minority at this point because they bitch about literally everything, from the gameplay to how "childish" the dialogue is. I've started to become a bit cynical because of this tbh but I still want the game to be good.

It doesn't give a lot at all even though it's her loyality mission and it only shows a enemy that we will face more often in the game or maybe it's just Peebee's own enemy she hates.it's good and I recommend watching it

I saw two people getting Angry because the loyalty missions could be completed after you finished the game Something that was done in ME2 and another complaining about the fact they had to apologize cause the game was too easy when in truth Bioware just told IGN that the mission would be harder when it was complete.

People on the video are complaining a lot about the villain in the game play video. How they think the villain sounds like they're from a 90's cartoon. Anyone else think that maybe they're supposed to be like that? Like maybe the villain is supposed to be a lot like PeeBee's character in a way. Just a thought. This game play video does have me a little worried, but the characters and writing have always been the major reason I buy a Bioware game anyway so I'm still hyped for the game.

I think the action looked great. I just don't like that the Computer voice keeps explaining everything you need to do, just a small nit pick. And I don't understand how people can complain about the character models, they look great, much better than in the first trailer. Especially PeeBee who has gone through a huge change in design, for the better.

I haven't seen the video. Not going to either. I've watched most videos though!
Edit: Maybe the computer is more like a tutorial thing. Though I might be wrong.
All I've seen is the first trailer and this game play video.
I'm sure the computer voice is just something used in this video and will probably not be used in most missions. Hopefully.
Aside from the jokes of Peebee looking like Shrek and Cora have a "feminist/SJW" appearance, people complain about Sara's looks constantly. To be fair I do think that both Ryder twins give off a bit of an Uncanny Valley vibe (the awkward/stiff animations haven't exactly helped), but for the most part Sara looks fine and has a girl-next-door type of attractiveness IMO.
BioWare has stated they'd be polishing the game all the way up until its release date. Even if the end results aren't amazing, I probably won't care as long as the game overall is solid. Apparently people expect too much these days simply because it's 2017 and we should have better animators or some shit like that.
I'm all about the girl-next-door look anyway. I haven't noticed many stiff animations. Got any links as examples?
Edit: I wouldn't call the outpouring of hate for average looking characters as jokes. The people posting that hate might or might not hide behind that excuse. Depending on how much spine they have.

Why do people say PeeBee looks like shrek? I think she looks great, much better than in her initial appearance in that first trailer way back. And I'm not saying you think tht PeeBee looks bad, Just wondering why people think that, seems like they're all just looking for any excuse to hate on the game.

The villain sounding cartoony excites me. I haven't actually watched the video and I'm not going to. The game is reaching that point where it's showing too much for me. None of the Bioware games have been really down-to-Earth. I want it to let loose. I want the villains to rival Skeletor in hokiness. Remember, this is the game series where one person saved the entire Galaxy. The game series where a person was brought back to life after being completely deader than dead. A game series where people fall in love after five conversations. I'm fine with things being a bit out there.

´´Jane and Peebee are one and the same ´´
Crosses Peebee out of Andromeda Romance list.

"I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel"
Commander Shepard= sellout
Did you run into Garrus and Tali "getting it on" on the Normandy in ME3?
I realized this while he was talking, and he really does sound like what you expect a Salarian to sound like. Definitely a good choice.
Am I the only one who realized that this is Reggie? You know the one-armed guy from TWD Season 2?

Naw, I was "getting it on" with Tali myself, she is too adorable to not date
Just pre ordered!
Three weeks until ME: A. I'm so looking forward to it.
This video has a huge chunk of dislikes. People are still shitting on the game as much as ever, apparently.
I already did my pre-order weeks ago and paid it off already last night . I Can't Wait!!!

Does this video give a lot away? I'm curious and it's Peebee, who I am already in love with, but I feel like it'll give more away than I want it too.
Not really, it just shows 17 minutes of gameplay on her loyalty mission. Specific things (namely dialogue) were cut out to avoid spoilers.
It doesn't give a lot at all even though it's her loyality mission and it only shows a enemy that we will face more often in the game or maybe it's just Peebee's own enemy she hates.it's good and I recommend watching it
ARGH! I'm so conflicted. I partly want to avoid it just to be safe and go in as blind as possible but I'm so damn tempted! XD
Sara Ryder certainly like to smile a lot.

You're letting the temper tantrums of three year olds affect you, Lahkesis. Don't go down that path! You can still avoid it.
Believe me, I'm trying, but it's damn near everywhere I go.
Which version did you buy? Regular? Deluxe? Super Deluxe?
Deluxe Edition!

Me too! So, do you know about the digital soundtrack that comes with the deluxe edition? Do we get that on the 21st too?
I thought the gameplay looked awesome. What's wrong with it?
Edit: Oh, and people are still complaining about the "ugly" characters?

Sam (The computer) is implanted in your head. I'd say it's a safe bet that you'll continue to hear from him.
