the case of forbidden fruit I see what u did there But hey, at least old Bowser is better than a lot of parents. Always around to make sure his son isn't playing something inappropriate.

  • Characters who have little to no gun shooting experience suddenly able to take down armies of trained enemies.

    cough FarCry3 cough

  • Health regeneration
    Collectibles
    QTEs

And my personal "favourite"...female characters with unnaturally large breasts.

  • A human-centric story is to be expected to some extent, since these are stories written by humans for humans. Where it starts to become annoying IMO is when the author gives the humans traits that make them inherently special or superior to the other species.

One of the worst examples is in Mass Effect, where the Reapers are said to be interested in humans because of their great genetic diversity. Humans in fact are not genetically diverse at all.

Well to be fair...it is the fact that these stories are written by humans. The best examples I can think of that turns those on it's ear wo

  • Kill hundreds of henchmen to reach the boss with no remorse then suddenly when confronted with the face of evil the one behind the evil plot the one who usually murdered your family say some cliched shit like "no, im not a killer. Im not like YOU" then walk away

  • At least Yoko Taro goes against this, with how in the Drakengard and NieR games after killing so many enemies you're rewarded with at most a bittersweet ending. Like how in Drakengard 1 each ending is a bigger downer than the last.

  • Protagonist is the only one who can solve everything.

    Ramirez, get to the chopper
Ramirez, destroy that thing from behind
Ramirez, use this RPG to destroy these vehicles.

Sheesh, SGT. Foley reminded me of my mother.

Yelling at me to singlehandedly complete impossible tasks on short notice for little to no gain.

    I wanted an escape, MW2.

  • The "Its-Ok-But-its-really-not" Cliche
With this cliche- it still gives hope to the audience even when they know the hope coulld bee an act. It very well gives the audience that it may be okay, and depending on the situation-your always playing with time.so i dont mind it but it can be useless when used multiple times.

The one i do hate "Im not fine but ill continue to say so" cliche
Espically in TTG where character emotions are one of the very bait-est things and they do this on purpose, telltale wisse or not, big man, i can tell if your not feeling good , i aint dumb fam, do you understand?
