There' s nothing wrong with the gameplay. It's the character and dialogue of Peebee in the gameplay. The dialogue of her comes off has child and acts like Dora the explorer. Also it's pretty derping of Peebee, for pushing the idea of what I see a Anders from Dragon Age(from what I see right now from the character in this gameplay)I can't judge the character or the voice acting from this one gameplay of the character like Peebee.Just I think they could have done more time into her character a little bit more like voice acting and possible go back to writing board about her personality. As it is right now I can't judge her from what I see so far.
I just have doubt and I hoping they don't screw it up.Maybe I'm just seeing her act like child because this just how her character comes off right now and I guess overtime I will like her,but still they could have done more voice acting from this one gameplay video of the character.

She's most likely pretty young. A funny thing about the ocean of hate comments that video has is that a lot of people seem to be getting Peebee's and Ryder's voices mixed up. "Wtf is this shit Dora the Explorer" That's the asari you're hearing, and you don't have to use her.
There's also the hand-holding complaints. A dev confirmed that it only seems like a tutorial because they purposefully made it that way for showcasing the game. The actual thing won't be that dumbed down.
Her acting that way isn't a problem if you're a fan of other characters with similar traits like Sera from Dragon Age. I like characters like that and I love Anders.

Anders was actually my favorite character in DA2. He had layers and actually became interesting as opposed to the carbon copy he was of Alistair in Awakening.

The thing is that Anders is different now and the game acknowledges that. In party banter with Isabella he mentions that he used to be more like her and didn't take anything seriously.
I wasn't a fan of him in DA2, but I see where you're coming from.
Maybe I need to replay DA2 and try to talk to his character more, my first play through I avoided him unless the game forced me to talk to him.
So someone I know has pointed out that it is weird (He said a meaner word) that the Nexus needs both Water and Ice. When it is the same kind of molecule.
The only thing I got on that is that ice is important for our climate and maintaining livable temperatures on Earth for humans. So if they're looking for a world to match ours, it would also require ice.
It was listed along with supplies though. Which is odd.

Maybe the ice machine on the Nexus fridge only has a 500 year warranty and they're expecting it to conk out after the warranty expires just like everything always does and then no one will have ice for their space rum.
The way it's worded? Yeah, it's a bit confusing.

So apparently in Andromeda when you gain AVP levels you can upgrade the nexus and wake up colonists. The thing i am confused about is we can wake up Scientists for a research boost, Military personnel for a combat bonus and Merchants for cheaper prices. Merchants are pretty clear cut but with Scientists, what will we be researching, will the researching be Xcom style where it takes a few in game days or Mass effect 2 style where everything just cost resources to research. Or will it be Andromeda's own version of science and unlocks (my prediction is that we can choose what to research and it will cost resources, but more scientists will lower the cost). My second question is Military personnel, will they be acting as guards aboard the Nexus and the Hyperion? Will they give Ryder a boost in combat (which makes no sense, what are they going to do, send good vibes at Ryder to give him/her a damage boost)? and my last question about Military, will the Nexus be attacked and we need a certain amount of Military to defend it?
Ok having seen several videos...wtf is up with those faces. I sense the mod community is going to have to do a lot of work that Bioware seems incapable of. Hopefully when you create your own character...you can make them seem more life like.
I think basically we have to create our own character in the creation scene in Mass Effect Andromeda.I do hate that the mods will have work overtime to get the faces look better, but so far I'm hearing that bioware was doing some work on that and making the faces look better.
I'm still think that maybe that face creation will have more creation options like DA:Inquisition had.

That's what I'm thinking too.I mean do we have to have more military personnel cause we will get attacked or maybe give Ryder damage boost in combat? Also it kinda looks like we have to have a number of Scientists,Merchants,Military Personnel to have in the game.Like Mass Effect 3 did to have military strength to go against the Reapers.
I think that could happen and maybe this is want we need to have to get a ending that comes off with the number people we need in game.Other times I'm hearing Remnant vaults could decide the mystery in Andromeda. So,that could be another thing to have in the game and judging the game and how choices will reflect to have Quarians come into Andromeda.I wouldn't be surprised that these things will determine the ending in the game.it's quite possible I think.

Gaah, those dead eyes on the woman around 1:50. :[ They're my biggest gripe. I'm okay with movements being on the stiff side but the eyes might get distracting.
On a lighter note I'm really looking forward to customization. Apparently there are going to be a lot more options in regards to hair (both length and color), makeup and scars. I saw a tweet that basically said male Ryders can have mullets.
This is a little nitpick, but I find it extremely impressive that humanity and the other races in the galaxy managed to build five mini Citadel-size space ship over the course of 9 years.

There's only one Citadel-sized Nexus which is still being built when the humans get to Andromeda (we help build it throughout the game and it should be finished by the end) and there are 4 arks (the Nexus also counts as an ark) which are way, way smaller. I believe the human Ark which holds 20.000 inhabitants is called Hyperion.
"She takes her job seriously."

There are 4 arks, 1 human, 1 salarian, 1 turian, 1 asari. Also the nexus, the nexus will begin construction at the beginning of the game and we can upgrade it throughout the game with AVP points

Bioware recently released the combat trailer, and apparently there's a saying amongst youtubers:
"Don't read the comments"
I read the comments.
And about 80% were people complaining squad mates weren't hot enough. So in frustration I make a meme and post it here because I'm and idiot and don't have any other platform to work off of. So please take this and spread it like the Genophage
I might actually express concern, because seeing the footage in general... the character models and animations look really bad, like, it looks horrible in general. I feel people are misunderstanding that it's not about "ugly" characters, but just terrible unnatural character models with poor texture work, meshes, skeleton rigging, and animations. Character customization wont solve this, because you are still stuck with the same horrible animations, possible worse if you change the proportions, making it even more deformed. You are also stuck with the low res hair in the game, and their shiny skin textures. Not to mention if it's the same as Inquisition, horrible shadow work that will make faces look even worse.
The gameplay looked rather generic, the ai seemed incredibly dumb, I saw a lot of glitches (and this is the final build of the game!), it made me worried that it would have the same horrible tedious crafting and gathering Inquisition had (and the terrible character models, animation, and rather underwhelming storytelling it had), it seemed like basic cover based shooting, your ai partners seemed to do nothing except bug out, it has a 200 dollar collectors edition which doesn't include the game, garbage preorder bonus's, microtransactions no doubt... I am not looking forward to this at all.
The characters do look "ugly" but mostly due to the poor modelling and texture work, plus, people are wonderful and beautiful, and shouldn't put themselves down in comparison to a game, which has a different artstyle. I guarantee you that if you translate any character from the fictional art style (no matter how "photorealistic") into the real world, they will look just like a lot of other people. There is also the strangeness that there is advanced medicine surgery and technology in the future so shiny bloated skin doesn't seem like something that would occur. So yeah, the characters do kind of look unrealistically "ugly". Not to mention the aesthetic is completely different (unrealistically so) that the previous games.
About ten percent of Inquisition was storytelling, and it was a huge let down for me, I spent far too much money on that game, I am not going to preorder games or buy games on hype again, it simply isn't something I am okay with doing. And people shouldn't dismiss peoples concerns as being "whiny".
... Also the above image makes me feel super nervous because I adored Samantha Traynor...
WOW! I really enjoyed that. Just seeing everyone just geeking out and being fans (even the developers) made me so happy. Loved the tissues comment from AbilityDrain. XD
I wouldn't doubt it will be more like Inquisition. As mentioned, Inquisition had their highest grossing release. Sales drive games, not internet comments.
I was fairly happy with Inquisition aside from the tedious, never ending and glitched collecting. I'm sure I'll still enjoy the game... Then again, I went in with the same attitude for Mafia III. That didn't go so well for me.
I heard that Inquistion didn't do well financially? They never gave out specific numbers, and the online reputation seems to be an overly negative one in reflection.
The terrible character models and animations are something I don't think I can get over, along with some strange voice acting and writing, would take me out of the experience.
Not to mention I don't preorder, ever, it's not like I'm impatient for a game that might suck and flop.
Doesn't matter if they hate a game and return it, people already gave them money, that's a big problem that a fair amount of people seem to keep glossing over, Mafia 3 especially was a train wreck of naive purchasing decisions.

More than enough for a colony.
