  • I'm glad they're working on what they can do to fix the biggest elephant in the room. :)

  • didn't Inquisition run on the same engine and got that stuff right the first try, sure there were some bugs and weird animations here or there but the characters were actually able to express emotion in their faces. I hope they actually do fix it but I just don't get why they let it ship like this in the first place

  • Honestly feel like this game is worse than Dragon Age 2, very disappointing so far.

  • A whole bunch of new staff worked on this game. They're not ALL new, so it's not a free pass, but a lot of them have never worked on a full game for Bioware before(mostly touch ups, patches, DLC, multiplayer). The senior staff were transferred from their primary studio to run the development on their secondary studio. So it is still, ultimately, the fault of people whom should know better.

  • I might give Andromeda some shit (well maybe a lot...) but I really wouldn't pay much attention to ser scores on MC. Most of them probably have not even a minute of it.

Man, look at this bad reviews made by fans.

  • I've been enjoying the game so far. The facial animation is just like what I expected so, no disappointment for me so far. There's a bug/glitch here and there (Like there's this Asari NPC who was floating/freezing in the air in the middle of Nexus hall, I thought it's really funny. :D ). It's been a long time since I played ME series so sometimes dying got me real pissed off. :P

Anyway, taking a day off on release day was obviously not enough, a night playtime is not enough. I wish I could take a week or a month paid leave lol

Weekend why aren't you here already... :(

  • Well I loved Dragon age 2 so...

  • With EA's past history, I find it highly unlikely they will fix it in any decent manner.

I can't stand how horrible the skin textures look, even if they somehow manage to fix some animations, the character models are just plain awful.

  • Ok

    The romance choices ....slim pickings.
Not a dating sim ..I know but damn . Little to no choices at all .
So far it's like I'm playing Mass Effect 1 all over again. The whole ( it all depends on you) game has been done too death . It's 2017 for god's sake .

  • There's actually a lot unless you're talking about male - male. Then yeah, then there's only 2. That's a bit sad.

What the hell are you talking about? Scott has 7 total romances and Sara has 8.

  • For the straight female . Yeah...slim pickings .
I only see Liam & Jaal as possible choices for the ladies .

  • I agree with you on that. Straight Sara only has 3 romance able people which is Reyes, Liam, and Jaal.

Three isn't bad. It could be worse. They could ALL be straight romances. I mean, we're going to want to repopulate aren't we? They could've used that.

  • I know. I too am grateful to have been given two options for gay Scott Ryder, both of whom are humans and fine looking. I'm planning to romance Reyes. A bit disappointed that he's not one of companions that I can take to battle like Kaidan was, still, I'm looking forward to romancing him. :)

There is actually a lore question that's bothering me maybe it's in the codex somewhere but I'm too lazy to read that. How are we getting around the galaxy without any Mass Relays?

  • DA2 was a lot of fun, though admittedly it suffer from the publisher giving the developer 1/3 of the time they asked for.

    Affirmative.

  • I can admit that the game was smaller than DAO in more than one way but the story and characters really connected with me. Plus I'm a huge mage guy so the story was one of my favorites. The combat was also way more fun.

  • Months at a time? Tbh I've been kinda wondering the same thing, it took the Normandy a few hours to reach the Omega 4 relay, we're going from star system to star system here.

  • Oh man, those faces lol. In some scenes my character looks normal and generally badass, but in others he looks like he got smacked with the ugly train, and then it backed up and did it again. I honestly can't think of many other complaints right now. Cora and Liam were kind of giving my that Ashley/Kaiden vibe in the beginning, but they're growing on me. Drack and Jaal are gold with their conversations, though. Probably my favorite team so far.

  • I got a chuckle when Kallo comes over the comms and says "Really, Ryder?" the first time you do that.

Idiot test #1: You can climb on the Tempest. There's a bit of clipping if you try to jump on the angled fins, but otherwise, it's like any other object. Touché Bioware.

  • Bioware gave Inquisition about a month of post-release support. So, we'll see.

The facial editing and the directional ping weren't features upon release.

  • I read something about how they developed a technology that allowed them to travel without the use of Mass Relay. It just wasn't wild spread when they developed it back in Milky Way

  • Interesting, I hadn't heard about that but I can imagine it probably wouldn't have been worth the cost to produce in the Milky Way until the Initiative was given the go ahead. I was reading the codex in game earlier though, the galaxy map in Andromeda actually just the Heleus star cluster on an outer arm of Andromeda, travel would be more like the way we'd move between star systems in 2 and 3 with fuel instead of the relay.

  • So I think they managed to pull off gray morality really well. You're never certain you're making the right decision.

  • That's the best thing about this game. I'm more honest with my choices.

Apparently the main studio went in to help in the last year...the game was a fucking disaster according to some unnamed people...the fact that it got this fixed is because they had to delay the new IP to get ME back on some sort of track.

  • Well that's a relief. I love Mass Effect, don't get me wrong but unlike Dragon Age so many of the choices have been painfully black and white.

  • I have to say after a few hours im mixed so far

On one hand im somewhat interested in the plot (not too much but enough) and the characters/dialogue are fairly entertaining (if a bit weird). On the other a lot of the gameplay is pretty tedious, driving around the planets isnt very funny and many of the missions are repetitive and not very interesting.

  • Yeah, what's up with her anyway? I'm thinking (read: trying to rationalize) the reason she's super stiff like that because of being super stressed out dealing with her job. I can see real people doing that as well albeit very rare. :P

So I beat the game, it does actually start picking up near the end but it took around 15 hours before I started to like it. Still would never give the game more than a 7/10. Hope Bioware can get their shit back together for the next Dragon Age.

  • Does anybody else hate the Remnant puzzles?

Am I the only one that gets startrek vibes from the game? Its so lightharted and colerfull.

  • They aren't that hard when you figure the trick out (always one or two spots you can get immediately) but they are time consuming and just more padding to the game what's worse is you always have to scan glyphs first even if you have an override
