I think some animators have explained that the facial animations aren't done by hand (some are,) but the rest are actually generated using a… moren algorithm and somehow that algorithm was shit for ME:A that's why they look tired and lifeless when they talk.
Haven't played the game, but for now it's just another No Man's Sky with the memes circulating around the internet.
Hey is anyone having the problems with the recovering the Turian Ark?Like I'm at the point with you are on it and when I finish it my voice even after the mission of recovering the Turian Ark is still sounding like I have the helmet on.Which is driving me crazy.I hope it gets fixed.
Alosnit's a glitch and I don't want to sound like that during the entire game.Thoughts if you are on the same problem I'm in the game.
UPDATE: I fixed it and I had to save and close the game after the mission was done and I saw someone had the same problem and he told how to fix it.
Wow, you're cynical as hell. Personally, don't know who the F*** Grayson is. I've played through the first and second multiple times, but I don't see how that makes a player "gud" or more important. I have commmented "we'll bang" several times. Never read any of the books. Never played multiplayer because I just don't. Never played Andromeda and don't intend to. Are all cool guys completionists? Is completionism a prerequisite attitude to be a cool guy? What if I think some of the DLC sucks and don't have it? What if I hate Pinnacle Station? What if people have a serious point when it comes to how bad the characters were made? And I've looked up porn of Mass Effect. "Probably", as if all who shill out for Bioware are pure-of-heart or something. Like not one of us has ever been MEcurious. And to say that the best of us should be someone who has read a book you admit in the same breath is terrible is, uh, off-kilter at best.
"Hot enough" is one thing. Deliberately made to look uggo is another. Launch on left. Day 1 patch on the right.
Like 2 - 1 odds I get banned for this, but....
Bioware recently released the combat trailer, and apparently there's a saying amongst yout… moreubers:
"Don't read the comments"
I read the comments.
And about 80% were people complaining squad mates weren't hot enough. So in frustration I make a meme and post it here because I'm and idiot and don't have any other platform to work off of. So please take this and spread it like the Genophage
Correct. Although the algorithms don't work perfectly for any game and animators go over problem areas and tweak them. Which leads me to think that they weren't given the time.

Im Thinking maybe they left on the time period where Krogan had a mutation and Mordin designed a stronger Version of the Genophage which is … morewhy this one s immune. ((Actually i have no idea when the Andromeda initiative left Some ppl said it was a little bit after ME1 Some say it was a couple of Months before ME3.
Talk about creating safe spaces for yourself! Refusing to play a video game just because you don't like the political opinions of some of the developers is sad in my opinion.
It looks like they may have started fixing stuff on PC. When the multiplayer update dropped the other day, I noticed the eyeliner/lipstick/etc blends better and no longer looks like clown makeup(on the created character anyway).
There wasn't an official patch, but something definitely changed.
I finish the game last night and I think there will be DLCs that I hope will be story based dlcs than just side mission dlcs.I rated the game last week a 7.5/10.But now I rate it 8.5/10.Sure,there are clitches and bugs, but, there will be some fixes and I look forward to the DLCs.

i think its unfair to blame EA. they're publishers and bioware is the one who's making this game. they had 5 yrs of dev time, how the story sucks, one asari face for every asari, HOW WE HAVE ONLY 2 NEW RACE ALIENS IN ANDROMEDA and they do not look as creative, just alien-is enough for us to believe they are. is that EA's fault? we have to be fair and bioware did screw up on this franchise and its fans. we mostly interact with milky way galaxy species, I thought this game was about Andromeda and not milky way issues again. having only 2 new races in Andromeda is a disappointment considering its about explorations, is a massive letdown. hell, ME1 Had more races than a game released 10 years later, is that EA'a fault again? bioware clearly did not care about ME enough. if they cared they'd cancel MEA and give us a proper game.
I'm starting to wonder if maybe EA actually is part of all this. Usually Bioware is pretty defensive on social media of their products and … moreright now, it's just... quiet. They asked people to report issues and they'll look at them. Very formal. No one has said anything about the game at all other than that. At least they're taking it seriously. No one's cracking jokes about it there.
I'm hoping it was EA forcing a Q1 release. I'd really like to know that Bioware didn't think it was perfect. I keep using that word: Polished. It's just not polished.
We'll see what they can fix.
EA constantly pushes for faster releases which causes games to flop. This isn't even speculation, this happens a lot with them. You talk about issues the game has, and that's the point. The game may have been perfect if it had been released later, but EA probably pushed for an earlier release. It's a very possible scenario.

The story isn't bad so far, I'm reasonably intrigued and I'm liking my squad mates. The facial animations are horrible, and those idle face animations when they're waiting for you to make a dialogue choice are laughable. The voice acting could use some work, female Ryder sounds uninspired and male Ryder just sounds flat to me. Male Ryder has his moments but they're pretty limited.
I could gripe more but it's really nitpicking if I go any further. Why is there no scope on the Avenger? It's there on every Andromeda promotional poster but not in the final game. I don't want to look through it but I want it to be there. It makes me feel happy.
bioware already got a 6 month delay. if they had this issues why would they actually set a date back then? this game was in dev more than the trilogy has and does not have the depth it needs. there are improvements but having a 1 asari face model for every asari is laughable. I'm never this negative because I respect that they had 5 yrs into the game, but damn. I don't recall DAI having these problems at launch, why? don't blame EA for what MEA problems.. they had 5 yrs to at least make 2 asari face models, please be fair.

I watched some let's plays of this although it has its flaws it has an awesome launch trailer. I would consider buying this but as of right now I'll probably wait for a price drop.
After reading lots of reviews the game seems to be a good but pretty flawed game. The elephant in the room being the animations and horrid amount of bugs (albeit not game breaking). The combat and colonization mechanics seem very solid. They seem to have shifted their focus on gameplay rather than story, which I am totally fine with, the story in ME was never very special (save the galaxy from the big immortal race of aliens who want to destroy everything cause they're evil).

I've only encountered one bug that was truly unfortunate. A minor sidequest cannot be completed on PC if you talk to two people out of order. It's just one of those things that amounts to 0.1% completion. It sucks for those people whom want 100% though.

It really depends what you want out of a Mass Effect game. If you like the exploration, power-based combat, talking and comradery, it'll be fine(if you can look past the visible issues with characters). If you like the paragon v. renegade system, shooting/cover combat, strong and engaging story, you'll be disappointed. Something that wasn't really mentioned is that with the paragon/renegade system being replaced with an emotional/logical system, you can't be a dick to good people anymore(you still can with other jerks though). That disappointed a lot of people.

Finished the game for the first time yesterday, and I have to say the ending was a pleasant surprise. They actually put a lot of effort into it this time.
There's even quite a bit of post game dialogue with crew members and other side characters. I hated it in other games where everybody just stopped talking, not acknowledging the ending.
Overall my biggest gripe with the game is the massive amount of uninteresting side cotent the game throws at you. If they had cut the side quests in half, and gave the dialogue used in them to the crew, it would have been so much better.
This seems to be the general consensus. Sucks that the story isn't that good, but I'm glad the paragon/renegade system is gone because it was too black and white. I'll pick the game up as soon as I get the chance (and money), though it'd be nice if some patches were added by the time I do.

I'm using Backlash/Remnant VI/Flamethrower. (Sentinel)
Weapon load out is the Krogan Hammer, SIdewinder Pistol, Dhan Shotgun and the N7 Valiant Sniper Rifle
Anyone want to share their power load outs?

Almost done the game, and honestly I'm sad that it's close to over. Say whatever you want about the characters and writing, but I really enjoyed them and I'm going to miss this squad. I hope ME:A2 gets approved and that it has the same cast, with some new additions of course. I don't want ME to do the DA thing of changing cast every game.
Really excited for any story dlc they come out with. Animation issues and glitches aside I really liked the 70 hours I spent with the game. Solid 8/10 for me.
I beat the story. I WAS playing normally and doing side quests I came across, but I bailed on that about 50% of the way through the story as it was taking WAY too long. I still have about half the side quests and even a couple loyalty missions remaining and my play time was still 68 hours.
The antagonist wasn't as dumb as people made out. "Evil for evil's sake" was tossed around a lot. Maybe? Really wasn't any worse with the Reapers in the beginning of the last trilogy. All you knew in that game was that machines which wiped out civilization, were coming back. Sounds just like "Evil for evil's sake" to me too. I don't want to go into spoilers and blank out this whole post, but let's just say that it's not over with this game's story(like anyone is surprised). Granted, this game didn't have a Saren to carry motivation. Perhaps the idea of the protagonist and antagonist, working parallel to their goals, doesn't have the same weight as one going directly after the other. That's fair.
Finishing the story did make me laugh at the folks whom were complaining that this galaxy only had one true native species and how "unlikely it is". Well, that didn't bother me personally at all as anyone who's taken enough science studies knows that the existence of one intelligent species is far far more likely than two. Anyway. I thought it was funny because there's actually an explanation why near the end.
The only real problems I have with the game are the faces and the dialogue. I really hope the faces can be fixed. By the end, the Asari were bothering me more than the humans. The humans have this weird bright white eyes, odd makeup thing going on, but the Asari look flat with very bizarre mouth movements and it's really a lot more distracting than I thought it was going to be. The dialogue... Somebody saw some Marvel movies and decided that was the way to go. Constant one-liners in serious situations. Wouldn't be the worst if they were awkward Schwarzenegger style lines, but they were just groaners.

What a piece of shit this turned out to be. I think Shepard would be ashamed if this is what his legacy has come to.

They confirmed that the Initiative launches after the events of Mass Effect 2.
So I beat ME: A. It was cool. I'm looking forward to the DLC.
Lol, ''political opinions''. Is that what we're calling racism now?

Yeah, it's different. It's not a bad thing though. There's been a couple of people who told me there's a Star Trek vibe to the game.

Game wise, I'm a level 90. Profile wise, I have the level 6 (Peerless Sentinel) Sentinel bonuses.
Forgot what level Vanguard
Charge/concussion shot/pull
Disciple shotgun

I will be replaying this.
But that's a really cool thing that DA does! Though it is DA's thing so ME doesn't have to do it.
There's going to be a patch on thursday which will hopefully improve the facial animations.
