    From what I heard, it's meant to be a follow up to the original X-Men timeline? Don't quote me on this though, as I haven't seen Apocalypse yet xD

    Logan is supposed to play out like 15-20 years in the future... 2029 I think. It doesn't follow the original since Xavier is still alive. And DotFP is canon, it changed the history. So that's the answer ti that.

    Sigh, all noob answers. The right answer is that this movie is alternate universe, i say this because Logan says there hasn't been a mutant born in 20 years but we see children in the school at the end of DoFP implying that things went differently in Logan's timeline.
