Clementine killing...
Anybody else try letting Clem decide what to do with Dr. Lingard? He tells her where AJ is before she injects him, then she needlessly kills him anyway. I know it was a deal and all, but that was still fucked up. Then she friggin lunges at him if you decide not to keep him from turning. What do you think about this? It was out of character with the way I played her.

Interesting fact. Clementine makes the same decision she does at the end of S1E5 if Lee stays silent. If she shoots Lee then she will also kill Lingard. If not then she hesitates and in the end leaves Lingard alive.
But I had her leave lee. She has actually never killed anyone in my game until now.
Oh that's pretty cool. I should have let Clem do it then because I left Lee. But when I left Lingard Clem got mad there probably wouldn't be a conflict in my game if it happened.
You have to stay silent with Lee to see what decision Clementine makes then. I just seen this in a silent playthrough. But i still don't know what triggers Clementine's decision in Season 1.
I knew that, but it's possible for her to spare lingard? She shouldn't have killed him if the lee decision had a factor in that.
Anybody know of a clip on youtube or something where she spares him? I'd appreciate it if you would let me know.
Do you have a clip of where she kills him?
Yes, she spares him.
I'm pretty sure Clem has killed multiple people in your game. In Episode 1 she shoots Eli and kills the New Frontier in the shootout, all of which are undeterminant. That may have been her first determinate kill for you, though
holy shit is this confirmed?
Can anyone confirm that if you make Clem not shoot Lee in the story editor, Clem won't kill the doctor in episode 4, if you don't make a choice?
I really want to know this before I start a new play through........again.
I opened this thread hoping it would say Gabe
How do you know this?
Well, Lingard wanted to die, I dont see the problem in killing him, it was his choice lol
Damn, if that's true, that is awesome, huge props to Telltale for that. I need confirmation on this, @Deltino, I need your assistance.
Clementine just wants more blood to make up for the lack of hers at the moment.
Thats cool then. What kind of choices did you make in the playthrough she spares him in? Edit: I killed the stranger, Conrad, Badger, and Max in my game. She still killed Lingard anyway.
Not everyone agrees with assisted suicide. He can do it himself if he wants it so bad. Letting Clementine decide shows what kind of person she is now. Keep in mind she gets told where AJ is before she kills him.
No, Clem makes the same decison as the one in S1E5 only if you stay silent with Lee.
He's clearly not thinking properly killing him is a shitty thing to do
Exactly, it's hard to believe how many people are ok with this.
I know some people like to think Clementine is 100 percent a mature adult but she really isn't she still clearly needs parental figure imo
So... what exactly did Lingard say about AJ, anyone cares to elaborate please?
I agree, 13 year olds brains aren't even fully developed yet. People like to talk about how badass she is and all that, but if the game was more realistic, she would never last in a world like that alone.
Sure, he tells her that AJ is ok and at some farm (can't remember the name).
same. my theory is that david is gonna die because of something javi does. gabe pulls a gun on javi and clem kills gabe because of it
I'm wondering if Clem is the most incompetent VG character of all time.
She attempts to thieve supplies from a far more capable group of people that are only meters away with a sick toddler on her person, she cries when she's on her period even though a stab victim is standing right next to her, she vindictively shoots at an ally because of their attempt to let in their brother from being devoured, she unloads a gun unknowingly into someone without the knowledge of if the gun even would discharge or not, and now we can add murdering a sad lonesome junkie doctor to that list because she has no ability to assess a situation and think responsibly through an action.
Yeah, if you really think about it, she's done even more damage than Ben at this point.
I think more of Gabe gets Javi killed, David points a gun at Gabe, and the Clem kills David to save him.
I don't really think Clem and Javi are close enough for her to kill Gabe for him.
This is what you get for dropping Ben
His ghost possessed Clementine, and imbued her with the inability to do anything right
Even Ben unlatching a door secured by an axe, letting in swarms of walkers and running away from a defenseless child who was about to be killed by another swarm of walkers seems, at this point, like Einstein compared to Clementine.
I didn't drop him. In fact I played such a merciful and borderline saintly game it's actually kind of sickening. Clementine has become a shitbird all on her own. Your idea would explain a lot though.
Whoa whoa whoa there, let's not get ahead of ourselves here
That action was the crowning king of ineptitude
If this game was real life, Ben removing the hatchet would have been put on that golden record we launched into space, just so more advanced civilizations could see how dumb it was physically possible for a human being to be
I dunno man, Clem trying to sneak into a heavily guarded outpost with a sick, dying, and perpetually noise-making toddler seems very high up there.
At least we can chalk Ben's ineptitude up to him being incredibly inexperienced at the time, but a survivor of 4 years? I don't think so.
I'm sorry, but if there is one scene I will never, ever, ever defend in this game, it's Ben and that fucking hatchet
Ever since the first time I played that episode, over 4 years ago, I hated it
For me, it holds the crown as the stupidest moment in the entire game. But you know, mileage may vary and all that, right?
I can't remember the exact name but he says he's at the something ranch a few miles away from here.
I wouldn't fully lose hope for Clementine. She's strayed from her path a little but that flashback with Ava proves to me that she isn't too far gone just yet.
I've pretty much already lost hope for her. She was the players moral compass, and now she's the opposite. This is the direction Telltale has decided to take for her character, and that's just the way it's gonna go unfortunately.
Maybe you're already aware of this but Telltale lets you as Javi disapprove of Clem's actions for a reason.
