Just doesn't make sense is all. Not in the slightest. And I wouldn't exactly call them fans if they play a game they do not like. I don't even know what to call them.
Because they're fans, that's why. They talk shit about stuff they actually enjoy in some form and often fail to see the paradox: ergo, they say "Clementine being here is pointless" in the same breath they spout "No Clem, no buy."

A. Keep him alive to be Clem's love interest (bleh)
We need an updated version of the 'THIS HAS TO STOP!' meme on those two.
B. Kill him off, most likely having him die from trying to show off for Clementine or his Dad—the generic way for teen boys like Gabe to die.
Good, that'll show him >.>
C. Make him determinant
I'd rather he was dead than determinant, otherwise it's determinant uncertainty of worrying about that little prick hanging around my daughter until the next season.
I wonder if Gabe will die this episode. I think Telltale will either:
A. Keep him alive to be Clem's love interest (bleh)
B. Kill him … moreoff, most likely having him die from trying to show off for Clementine or his Dad—the generic way for teen boys like Gabe to die.
C. Make him determinant
or, why not develop him so that he becomes a better character and more people like him, thus causing less people to want him to die? seems much better than simply killing him off. honestly though, because they're trying to elicit emotion and many players aren't attached to his character, i think he might survive.
Don't people say that clem is only around for fan service so they don't like it that much , but won't killing Gabe also just be fan service? If they don't like fan service then why ask for Gabe to die?
i just hope that they improve and develop gabe's character and just refrain from forcing some dumbass, undeveloped teen romance. however, i wouldn't doubt that gabe was created solely to become clem's love interest, unfortunately.
I don't think so.
Telltale just do what they like to do.
Telltale always used different writers.
The management just chose wich versions of different writers they'll go with the games.
They use different writers so they will have more diversity of choices to go with the games.
I love how Job worded that tweet "hearts will be broken" the only way my heart would be broken is if Clem or AJ dies, idgaf about the baseball player or his sister in law/f*ck buddy or his bitchy little nephew or his micro aggressive pseudo maniac brother.
The chances for a release on the 16th are 0%, if it was releasing on the 16th Telltale would've posting something about the final by now to hype it up as TWD is their most popular franchise.
I love how Job worded that tweet "hearts will be broken" the only way my heart would be broken is if Clem or AJ dies, idgaf about the baseba… morell player or his sister in law/f*ck buddy or his bitchy little nephew or his micro aggressive pseudo maniac brother.
Its not that I dont trust Telltale (although A New Frontier has been pretty mediocre, and trust is pretty low), its simply that a singular ending will make sequels more satisfying, since we wont have stupid shit like Kenny and Jane.
I just hope if they make season 4, they dont have any more timeskips, just continue a month or 2 after the end of A New Frontier, also, plz no more Javi, at least not as a protagonist, he is pretty bland to me
I love how we're now actually begging Telltale not to do something inherently cool like multiple endings because our trust in them is basically nonexistent at this point. The polar opposite of three years ago.

Well, considering that Clementine would be very different for everyone depending on season 2, they were bound to step on alot of peoples toes by making her a singular personality in A New Frontier, her personality in A New Frontier seems like a natural progression from how I played in season 2, so I am pretty happy with it
This is also my take on Clementines character, in season 1 I did all I could to be a good example to Clementine, but after Lee, I always felt like Clementine would be more distant, more focused on survival, so thats how I played season 2, so Season 3 feels like a very natural evolution of her character, its not she has lost who she is, we still see glimpses of the old Clementine, its just that she cant always act like that anymore, since its not good for survival
It seems I am one of the few people who like the Darker Clementine and built up that version of her in the first 2 seasons. I find her more … moreinteresting and tragic than the Clementine who stayed sweet and soft during season 2 because it shows that the apocalypse can turn an innocent sweet little girl into a super callused anti-social dangerous survivor who still has a heart underneath it all but only AJ and her closest friends see that side of her.
But everyone needs to keep in mind that having your child ripped out of your arms and being led to believe that despite your best efforts died anyways can make even the nicest person go dark. But it would have been better if we were just playing as Clem this season because then they wouldn't of had to worry about the various alternate personalities of Clementine.
I think youre very right, Javi would have been better as a secondary character, mostly because he has so many preestablished relationships that Telltale expects you to care about for no other reason than "lol plot, youre Javier, care", in season 1 Lee knew none of the people, which means that we built relations with him, but this season we are expected to just care because? frankly I think it would have been more interesting to play as Clementine, or someone else (although I prefer Clementine), and watch the family drama unfold from a third person perspective, and influence it less directly with inputs rather than being Javi
I agree with you man. I built her up slowly into the character she has become now also. It seems like she progressed into the character I wa… mores molding her to become, and I like her personality.
The turning point for my Clementine was season 2 episode 3 when we took out carver. I couldn't resist telling Kenny "I'm not going anywhere" and then "I know" to the "it's gonna get messy" statement from Kenny. And after she said that, her innocence was gone and I enjoyed her character even more after this.
And I couldn't agree more about her being the main character. Javi would've made a good deuteragonist with his storyline.
You know ppl, if there were news about EP5 now, we'd have some new artwork being shown for the cover. Be patient, if it's on May 23, one more week won't hurt anyone
i wouldn't doubt that gabe was created solely to become clem's love interest, unfortunately.
I don't think that was the case, given Gabe's strong ties(much stronger than her's in fact) to the plot and main cast and the fact that they've had barely any screentime together where they're focusing on each other. More than likely, they thought of it at one point and decided to just throw it in haphazardly.
i just hope that they improve and develop gabe's character and just refrain from forcing some dumbass, undeveloped teen romance. however, i wouldn't doubt that gabe was created solely to become clem's love interest, unfortunately.
Clementine being in anf is pointless and only serves two (maybe more) purposes, getting people to know Javier and like him because they will associate him with Clementine, and because of money.
Just because there is Clementine doesn't mean I (we maybe?) want her to be only seen a very few cutscenes with little to no meaning to the the game. Using Clementine to make Javier popular and not giving 50% Clementine is an insult to the people. That is not paradox. If there is Clementine, then they better give her right instead of using her to make another character popular.
Because they're fans, that's why. They talk shit about stuff they actually enjoy in some form and often fail to see the paradox: ergo, they say "Clementine being here is pointless" in the same breath they spout "No Clem, no buy."

I'm hoping for a "Leave Gabe to die" option.
Kids
I am so happy you made this. I thought of this bit from family guy when Clemmy got her period XD
The more you cry and bitch about Gabentine, the more chance Telltale will make Gabentine true. Lol
Hmm. The one thing I can actually agree with you on.

You don't scare me, lol.
I don't think you scare Telltale too lol.
They're completely scared at the writting judging by the number of writers in each episode.

You're from Bulgaria?
I hope it's 23 release cause I have much freedom in that day.
for a moment I thought you were talking about 4th of July with all that freedom lol
Remember that Job can't be trusted, his tweets are exaggerated and purposely trying to get people hyped. Ya dig?

Actually, it was announced ON the day of release
Yes, but I live in Greece, in result of knowing both of the languages.
Aww shit me too. I'm hoping for a release in 2 weeks cos I have the week off then.
My username foreshadows that release date so I got ya back, boo.
