Yeah, this installment seems to like them, for some reason. Like a running gag or something.
Gabe, you better not sit on the driver seat before letting me see that driver license of yours.
Well, considering he's 13, he might not be sitting in it at all. Though it'd be some shit if he turned out to be a far better driver than Clementine.
And don't make moves on Eleanor.
But yeah, I can see that. And I seriously thought Ava would be the one he'd get distracted by.
I wonder if Conrad will be in the car, too.
Probably. It'd be a neat way to vary up the chase and how it goes down.
Hmm... what are Max and Dr Lingard up to. I hope Telltale know what they're doing.
I hope so too, cause that previous ending (if you can call it that) was really abrupt and they seemed to get a little too crazy with the determinant stuff.
I can deal with Lingard mostly sitting this one out, but Max really needs to be there.
I don't want another car crash.

Just wondering, how is everyone's relationship with David up to the finale? I feel like I'm the only one who decided to go on the best bro p… moreath. Anyone get that hug option with him?
I hope he doesn't give me shit for not picking Ava. Well, I don't mind as long as it doesn't throw all my efforts to be his best bro out the window.
Cinema/Gaming Sins are a little too nitpicky for my tastes, but yeah...Telltale really deserved that penalty slam for treating Kenny/Jane/Edith the way they did.
I think it would be interesting if Telltale made Kate a zombie or alive based on our decisions of rejecting her or returning her feelings. If you reject her, she's dead & if you shared her feelings, she's alive with serious burn damage. Or they could do the whole switch of choices where people who rejected her get her alive in their game whereas people who wanted to be with her get a zombie Kate. I'm 99.9% sure this won't happen, but I thought it would be a unique way to implement our choices.
fuck realism. i wouldn't even be surprised if the injury was intended to make her look cool and she miraculously survives, as fucking stupid as it may sound.

Well, she did, because she's definitely not dead or a walker in the key art. To be fair, she was in an armored vehicle, which would protect her from at least some of the force of the crash and explosion. Also, as if Telltale would just kill her off without at least a goodbye scene between her and Javier.
i honestly, for the most part, suspect that she will act as the emotional death of the season. i feel like javier, gabe, or david will have to put her out of her misery or some shit

While this is my least favorite game in the series and I constantly complain about it, you still get the option to change your relationship with characters. You can screw Clementine over multiple times as well as David. You can be a strict uncle who is constantly scolding Gabe for being a brat or be patient with him instead. etc
One of the best parts of games like these is that you get to determine your characters relationship with other characters.
That's the part they really need to work on.
That's true, it just annoys me how he is constantly talking about how much he loves his family yet he jumps to conclusions really fast without closure. He could have attempted to make it back to the house to see if there was evidence of them being alive or dead once he had the New Frontier at his back. But you are right, we don't know the full story and the situations David was dealing with.
He didn't even try to look for his family when he is so "family oriented"
In above the law, he tells Javier that he tried to get bac… morek into Baltimore but they wouldn't let him back in so he decided to meet with a few people he met in the army and built a safe zone with them outside d.c instead.
I know, but I wish it was better handled across the cast in general. Telltale is seemingly always trying to create another Kenny instead of creating character that works like him. I mean, amongst what we've gotten, only Lilly, Vernon, Brie, Carlos, Sarah, Bonnie, David, and Gabe are really anywhere in that ballpark.

No one flirts with the side bae and gets away with it. How Tripp got away with hugging her on your watch though?
Damn straight! Wait...oh, you mean Eleanor?
I honestly thought so, too. Ava is very attractive.
That gif is perfect.
Actually, that goes back to this one thought regarding Villainous!Ava from before Above the Law came out; Algebra and boredom can have a weird mix. And I'm serious when I say I thought we were gonna get some deja vu to Luke and Jane when Javier and Clementine were seemingly in Lingard's office for a good while.
Our idea of team pairs didn't make it. Well only one team did... but still.
Yeah, that sucks.
Max shall save our asses with an Anti-Joan army, with Shades-Chick being part of it or a co-leader.
You better believe it. And it better happen, if they know what's good for em.

Are we allowed to discuss leaks of episode 5 if theyre spoiler tagged? I don't think they're allowed in this thread specifically, but I think they're worth mentioning somewhere.

It's from 4chan so it's about as reliable as anything posted on the internet, but they were really specific and believable. So I thought they'd be worth discussing, even if they ended up being false. Because i read them and actually liked how it ended. (kind of) It also claimed Gabentine was gonna be a thing so I'm a bit terrified.

Discussion of spoilers from past episodes is okay, but please do not discuss story spoilers (or share videos) relevant to this particular episode inside its own Waiting Thread - Episode Waiting Threads are meant to be spoiler free discussions where people can follow news updates and see if an episode is out yet.
Also, you cannot talk about leaks, real or fake, elsewhere on this site unless a lot of people get the episode early (like episode 3), in that case we'd create a thread where you could only discuss there.

Early Spoiler Discussion is not allowed anywhere on the forums prior to an early episode release. EDIT: As Dojo said, we might make a designated early spoiler thread in the event of an accidental early episode release on some platform, but that's it.

Oh man all 3 mods replied. Don't worry wont hear anything from me. Also hello nice to meet you I'm new. Here's my question to you mods:
What do you want most from episode 5?
it's sad that she hasn't had that opportunity yet, and i don't see it happening as she is critically injured. i would've liked her character more if they had actually showed her doing something, like they always claimed that kate had done shit to benefit people, but she doesn't really do anything other than get herself shot over a dead body and hit on javi. there was only one useful thing that she did, which was determinant.

Ooooh my bad XD
Easy mistake?
I'd say so.
Had a weird fucking dream that I was playing ep5 and that Conrad died from both his legs getting blown off.

Plot twist: What if it wasn't a dream!
LOL.
In the comics Heath loses a foot from a grenade explosion during a Negan attack.
Kate is DEAD. How can she survive a car crash and a explosion?

How would that work? The power of love gave her the strength to repel fire?

"The wrong child got killed" priceless
Hopefully, that'll come hand in hand with finally letting her do cool stuff.
I agree with you this is my least favorite season and the character development is crap compared to the past two games.

TELL ME SOME SPOILERS!!
Oh you mean the spoiler about how Clem dies because a piano falls on her head? Yeah, I can't believe it either...
