Well it's over... (My final thoughts on Season 3)
After seeing the end of A New Frontier, I can safely say this is the worst Telltale game I've played yet. One thing that could save an episodic game like this is the final episode to tie up loose ends, explore the plot holes not explained in previous episodes and such. Telltale doesn't do any of that in this episode. It's a short uneventful experience that was off to a bad start to begin with. Unlike Season 1 or 2, A New Frontier had no salient plot points or investment in any kind of development for anyone other than Javier. One of the worst things about the final episode is Clementine feeling like an abstract illusion and not mattering in the least. The story does her no justice at all. Kate, David and Kate can almost all die off screen making their deaths almost meaningless, the treatment of determinant characters is insulting and the finale of the fourth episode mostly doesn't even come into play as Joan not Clint make any appearances if spared. I'm not sure if they have plans for a season 4 but I can safely say I won't be buying it. I'm not even motivated to watch a playthrough of it. It's like the milking of a cow that's been dead for four years.

I've probably been in the minority of people who have actually enjoyed ANF but I have to agree with everyone you just said. The gameplay I watched was horrible. The writing, character deaths and treatment, length of the episode. This didn't feel like a finale to me. It definitely didn't live up to Season 1 or 2s.
The only thing that really hyped me up about this was that little teaser at the end of the credits. We're finally getting our girl back.
Ava's death was the sloppiest.
Tripp's death was "meh"
Gabe's death was sad af
Kate's death was "meh"
David's death was "wtf"
Ava's death was downright dumb. The gameplay I watched, I paused it and was like "Um wtf was that?"
The only 'main' death in the gameplay other then Ava's was Davids, but that was shown offscreen (due to the youtubers decision in the game)
kudos to them for making gabe's death sad though. it's like all the shit he did was justified due to what he did in the ep and like i thought if he died people would be happy but everything i've seen showed that people were upset. ava's death was shit, and it's sad how david and kate die offscreen.
You thought so? I thought Gabe's was the 'main' death. That was easily the saddest out of the whole season.
yeah, gabe's death was hella sad and really disturbing too. i didnt really expect it. but kate's death, although i didn't give a shit about her, was so cheap and terrible. a very important character shouldnt die off screen like THAT
I know Gabe died but in the gameplay I watched it wasn't shown. Gabe survived.
Which is why I think Gabe and David's death is considered the actual ending. I think Javi is better off truly happy with Kate rather than Gabe & David.
i personally like the ending where gabe lives, because he was the only one of the three that i liked. but that was one of the good parts of the episode because i didnt expect the ending to actually be emotional
You know, you could save both Kate and Gabe.
Well...how?
if you go w kate to save richmond, clem might go after david and gabe, which will result in saving gabe
But you have to go against everything Clem says to save Gabe and Kate.
yeah i feel like I'm in maybe the 5% that actually liked ANF.
I think a lot of people hating on it are comparing it to season 1, which is a lot better, but if you look at ANF as its separate game it isn't as shit as a lot of people are saying it is.
granted there are a few things which are sloppy writing, but for the most part I liked this season.
How did she actually die? I mean she didnt have any bite marks on her, or did I miss something?
I haven't seen all the endings, but from mine, it seemed to be the ending telltale wanted.
If anyone had a different ending, feel free to discuss.
