Open World games with a light hearted tone.

Any such suggestions? You guys helped me choose an AC game so I am pretty sure you guys are pretty resourceful when it comws to recommendations

Things that are crossed of my list:

  • AC games
  • Intense swearing (like in GTA)
  • too much gore/violence
  • serious storyline

well, there are some things that I would like if possible.

  • super powers that the player can use
  • big open world

Thanks!

  • Try InFamous games if you have a PS3 or PS4, they're so enjoyable.

  • Horizon Zero Dawn is a personal favourite game. The storyline is quite serious but it's not exactly grounded in reality with robot dinosaurs and all and it still does have it's lighthearted moments. Its world is absolutely beautiful and great to explore, the combat and tactics against the machines is super fun and in depth and there's plenty of stuff to do, honestly most games are gonna have violence and a story to them but some less than others.

  • Im playing risen 3 at the moment its pretty funny thanks to the voice acting and some of the sidequests are silly.

Saints row is the ultimate lighthearted open world I guess in the last one you can fly and there are loads of powers, gotta love that dubstep gun.

  • I do not have PlayStations, what a bummer!

  • I'd recommend Breath of the Wild. It's pretty funny, and you only have to deal with some seriousness until you get to the open world, which doesn't take long. If you do find other games, I'd like to know, too!

    Saints Row 4

    You have super powers.

It doesn't really have any gore. Violence isn't too graphic either.

    The map is huge.

The story isn't serious at all. I'd say it's pure action comedy.

There's no intense swearing, besides from a robot saying fuck about 20 times in a row.

  • State of Decay is pretty good. There are not superpowers, it's just a normal zombie apocalipse, but man, I loved it.

  • I've played that game for hours!
Tears were shed a lot, as it was always my best survivors to die first, when they're doing a short supply run.

  • I know, right? It's great. I once got stuck with a guy with a bad leg and oh, man, that was bad.

  • Yes! Seriously, this game deserves praise. It is very "open world"-ish. You can enter any building! (except for the theater)
    How crazy is that?
I know you know all this already, but I'm just speaking out loud here... I am passionate about this game.

  • I heard there was a sequel coming... do you know anything?

  • Not too much, just that it can be played co-op, the map is significantly bigger (I think it's 3 maps each the size of the fist game, all separate), and it is expected to come out this year. We might get some gameplay footage or other details this E3...
