What are some games from your childhood that bring you nostalgia? Do they still hold up?
Practically all of us have a soft spot for those games we've played when we were little. Here you can share those childhood games and, if possible, tell us if they're still as good as when you played them as a kid.

Tony hawk pro skater: still holds up
Monster Rancher: still holds up
Megaman Legends: still holds up
Pokemon Yellow: still holds up
Goldeneye: Does not hold up
Donkey Kong 64: Does not hold up
Tekken 1: Does not hold up
Super Mario 64. it's not the same magical experience but it's still so much fun.
Super Smash Brothers Melee is one of the better games among my favorites that still hold up in my book
EDIT: Also gonna add Sonic 3 and Knuckles to my list.
Guitar Hero, introduced me to a lot of great rock music, which helped get me into bands like Metallica.
I think GTA San Andreas. I used to replay that game so many times. I even used mods in it.
I didn't get an NES until the 90's so... PC games mostly.
Microsoft Golf(Links 386) (1992)
Hugo II (1991)
Police Quest (1987)
Castle of Dr.Brain (1991)
Plus a bunch of other CGA EGA graphics adventure games which are really hard to look at now.
Golf holds up extremely well as the gameplay mechanics are still used today.
Police Quest, the re-re-released version in the boxset holds up well if a "police simulation adventure game" sounds appealing.
The first two Dr.Brain games that came out in quick succession are still great if you like sometimes-super-easy-sometimes-bordeline-impossible puzzle games.
The first Sonic games on the Genesis/Mega Drive
Toejam & Earl
Theme Park
Theme Hospital
Super Mario Bros
Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
Simcity
Skifree
Jezzball

...oh yeah, I wasn't immediately thinking of the classic Sonic titles. This makes me want to add Sonic 3 and Knuckles to my post.
spider-man 2. and unfortunately, not really imo
GTA Vice City. Compared to modern GTA, its gameplay isn't as good - it's quite clunky, actually, but what holds up is the atmosphere, the music and the characters. Tommy Vercetti is the shit, yo!
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. I still enjoy playing it from time to time, but it's pretty mediocre if you look at it with a more critical eye.
I've never really been much of a gamer, but I was a huge fan of Animal Crossing when I was younger. The last time I played it was a few years back and while I did enjoy it, I couldn't really play it for more than 1/2 hour. To put it in context, before I would be engrossed in it for hours.
Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, All PS1 Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Grim Fandango, Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3, Super Mario Bros Melee. And some Mario parties.
I think most od them holds up today. The zelda games are fantastic still, and so are the Tomb Raider's. Resident Evil was almost the last fantastic RE game (apart from RE 4). Grim Fandango was great still when I played the remastered on Ps4.
That old Aladdin game that I can't remember the name of.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
Gothic 1.
Polanie, an old Polish RPG which I used to love endlessly.
Blinx The Time Sweeper! I seriously loved that the game! I can't say whether it holds up because it's been years since I've played it.
Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo, unsure if it still holds up
Battlefield 2142, Titan mode was so much fun to play, still holds up imo
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for bikini bottom, this game was a lot of fun, reminds me of Super Mario 64, still holds up imo.
Ill update with more later.
Every game from the Monkey Island franchise. I seriously have so many memories with that series as a kid. I don't know if I would be the same person I am today without it. Hell yes it still holds up.
Hell I love that game
There are a few for me:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Madden 2008, Minecraft, Halo: Reach, MW3, Super Mario Bros., Mario Party 8, and of course, Star Wars: Battlefront II.
Those are some of the earliest and most classic games (for me) that I really remember.
animal crossing, and any pokemon game honestly
I do too, but I don't think it holds up very well.
Eh I'm not sure. I haven't played it in forever
I remember times when I was just sitting with my brother on the couch and playing Pegagus games like Contra, Mario Bros etc. Ahh, the memories...
