i love adam west, he's just a fun actor and i've never seen anything i didn't like him in. his voice was nice to listen to and he's the OG batman. for him to die is kind of devastating.

it's more or less because of the fact that 2016 was just a really terrible year for people. a lot of people's personal lives were destroyed, the election was a fucking trainwreck, so many terrorist attacks and deaths and shootings. while a lot of these things were happening in years before, 2016 had it feel so much bigger and you saw a lot of it upfront. when you consider a year to be the worst year of your life and then people who felt like they were immortal and were such big icons start dying literally out of nowhere that same year. it really sucks. the people dying aren't just normies, these are like really big people that a lot of people look up to. carrie fisher, david bowie and now adam west. of course it's incorrect to blame the year, but it feels easier to blame a period of time than accepting the cruel truth of life.

The year as a whole was just legit trash.
RIP Adam West. I enjoyed him immensely in Family Guy and Lego Batman 3. Fairly Oddparents as well, when I was younger.

yeah, which is why i mentioned the whole personal lives and terrorist attacks thing. when people like you and me talk about how awful 2016 was, people always go "lol it was just celebrities dying get a grip", but honestly outside of celebrities the year was so genuinely horrible. for me it was the worst year of my life personally. so many family members died, a friend commited suicide, i was in my worst mental state ever and all the while i was in numerous toxic friendships and environments putting my health at risk. the election, terrorism and celebrity deaths were all just piss icing on a shit cake.
Tell that to Christian Bale or Michael Keaton. If you mean Classic Batman, then yes.

It really isn't 2016 all over again y'all. 2016 killed alot of younger celebrities (under 70 is young to die) such as David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Carrie Fisher and Prince. All of them was very shocking since they weren't that old. While this year we lost Roger Moore and Adam West, both together being older than Dumbledore. It wasn't shocking to me, or others really that people in that age dies.
