What do you think are gonna be this year's contenders for GOTY?
Right now I can see Red Dead 2, (Possibly, most likely not) Persona 5, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Horizon Zero Dawn as contenders.
Also, P5 I hope gets an award for the soundtrack. It deserves it.
Anything that should be added to this list?

I doubt it will get GOTY, the whole Pokemon Go phenomenon faded really fast.
I'd say Red Dead 2 if it were actually coming out this year.

Well the original persona is Playstation 1.
Persona 4 was on the ps2, but you can play on ps3.
Persona 5 is the only one on next generation.

Persona 5 definitely. Haven't played Nier yet but Persona 5 is easily one of the best games I've played in the past 5 years.

I'd say Breath of the Wild just because of all the critical acclaim it's been getting. I dunno. The only 2017 games I've played are Outlast 2, Injustice 2, and Little Nightmares and none of them scream GOTY to me.
Bro look, Persona 5 is a really good game. I feel you, I had never played a persona game before until this summer and I have to say that if you can, you should get your hands on it. It's not for everyone, but believe me, I don't even like anime and I've been enjoying this game for a while. It's extremely long and just a really good summer game overall. So if you have the opportunity, go for it.
I must say shadow of war , even though it's not released yet , either that or Mass effect andromeda imo
