Clem will probably have a romance in Season 4
Assuming they do another time skip, she'll be 16ish and it'll be much more acceptable for her to have a romance. Maybe we'll even have to make a choice to sleep with someone or not, to lose her virginity. That'll be awkward as hell for those of us that kinda' feel like she's our fictional daughter, having basically raised her since she was 8.
And before anyone says they won't time skip since Season 4 will pick up where the Season 3 after credits scene ended, they could easily do like they did in Season 2 where they picked up pretty much right after Season 1 ended, did a few things, then skipped ahead a bunch. They could easily do that again in Season 4, pick up where the Season 3 after credits scene ended then after Clem gets to the ranch and no one is there, skip ahead a couple years.

Why would they do a time skip? It wouldn't have much sense, I assume she went to find AJ directly after leaving Richmond. Waiting 3 years would be weird as so much things can happen during this time. AJ could be gone long ago from the ranch by this time.
Maybe you think about dating simulators too much.
There won't be big timeskip unless one occurs in the comics first. I CAN see a timeskip of no more than a week happening.
As for another romantic interest, I don't know if Telltale is ready to do that again. I mean, if they do the new character right and not like Gabe. To me, I think someone who reminds Clem of herself is a good romantic partner for her.
Uh...no.
This is The Walking Dead. This isn't the "your average cheap teen love drama show".
I don't really want to see nor think about someone under the age of consent have sex ever in my life...that's so fucked up even if it is fictional.
Seriously dude. You need to stop thinking about these things.
You guys didn't read, huh? Just read the first bit and started hammering away on your keyboards, right? I specifically said how there could be a time skip and gave an example. And don't forget, Clem basically ages in real time and the games' timeline more or less progresses in real time. There's a little fudging during the seasons themselves but they're released in such a way that the beginning or end of a season matches up with real world time progression. She was 8/9 in Season 1, which was in 2012 (Ep 5 released in November that year). 4 Years later (Dec 2016), Season 3 released and guess what, Clem is now 13 and it had been over 4 years since the zombies showed up, Kate said so in Episode 1. Also, Kirkman does time skips to keep the characters aging realistically. He's done 2 that I can think of off hand, the most recent was a 2 year time skip and ANF happens to take place during those 2 years. By the time the next game is released, 2-3 years from now, Kirkman will likely have progressed the time of the comics again.
I do agree with the sex thing. I was mostly joking. It'd be a fucked up thing for TellTale to do and in that regard I'd love it but I do not want to do that lol.
LOL
Believe it or not, I hope it's still Gabe since he was a pretty much a whiny little kid in S3 and he can pretty much be more mature and wise in the next season assuming Telltale is really gonna put an effort for the character development and not have him die in a meaningless way. Buuuuttt I still think Telltale should not pull anything off with this topic since Clem's priority is AJ and also a large part of the fanbase simply don't give a damn or despise it.
As long as its an interactive scene...
Time skip could really happen.
The ranch was just few miles away, a huge herd passed through, when Clem gets there, nothing is left. Then she keep searching for AJ with some help, could be Javi, Gabe, Jesus or new character.... If AJ is not found dead at the start.
For some of you there was that kiss with Gabe, but telltale made a point when Javi explain to her she's becoming a woman. So I believe romance is in the air for next season, otherwhise why bother with that kiss or period scene?
Well Carl lost hus virginity at age 14 in the comics.
Once again why are people so obessed with clementines romantic life.
You want this series to turn into a stupid love story like Twilight?
1st. time skip suck specially the one between season 2 endings and ANF
Second no romance in the 1st game. Still the better of the 3
Wh y can't I edit my message on ipad damn .
:d
What people miss is the fact that this is the apocalypse. It aint your neighborhoody country club, this is a living nightmare. You spend each day fighting for your life and trying your best not to go insane.
Right... but when Clem meets Javi, she clearly says it must be nice having a partner. Someone you can trust, rely on, and have a break from that living nightmare....
Partner, like a friend, a companion, the best dude. Not a person to fall in love with.
Age of consent in the UK = 16.
IMO, this is far too young to be sexually active.
And yet children awkwardly ask stab victims to fetch them tampons cause their cramps are slightly inconvenient and supposedly ruthless leaders allow their enemy to be given an audience without being restrained, giving them multiple chances to murder them and cause a large scale war to potentially happen as a result... oh wait! That does happen!
I've been more convinced of Ratchet and Clank's fun colorfully beautiful levels being living nightmares than ANF's narrative.
I wish it was like that for now, but you never know, we are talking about a teenager who's never experienced love after all, hormones are quite at fault too. I'm pretty sure everybody remember those days
I guess ANF's level of writing IS the living nightmare. We can criticize it all we want, TT doesn't listen anyway.
And his girlfriend Lydia is 16. And she already has history of being raped by many men and her mom agreed with this.
I am sure Telltale will never go this disturbing path.
I'm genuinely convinced that all Clementine's love was placed in AJ, along with her will to live and sanity.
Clem caring about a random dude she met a day ago is far beyond the decency of a normal plothole, and her confessing her sins of the past to Javi is just so abnormal that it took away all my commitment and enjoyment.
Why would one want to have sex again after being raped by numerous men? Especially a person so young as 16yo?
This is one of the reasons why I don't read TWD comics.
I'm in the U.K and I'm 17 but that still doesn't mean that it should be okay considering the age of consent is not 16 globally.
The smallest age of consent in the world is Nigeria with 11...does that mean that you can make the argument that it is perfectly fine for two eleven year old characters to have sex in the game in your opinion?
Woah woah woah, wat?
Wow
I've never said I wanted something like that. Of course she loves AJ like a mother would.
What I'm trying to say, in her case, how will she deal with loving someone who isn't a child like AJ, father or older brother figure? She's never really been long enough with someone her own age. From what we've seen so far, she's either acting like an adult or a mother.
And Lydia lost hers as soon as the apocalypse broke out, right? She's the same age as Carl.
That much is true.
Some sexual abused peoples go promiscuous.
I guess losing self respect
This is realistic, even though very fucked up. This happen in wars too. You think such dirty men look at age when there is no law anymore?
Look at Isis for example.
I'm not saying you wanted that, I'm saying what ANF has shown us in the game.
Considering stuff she's been through, she's got her reasons to be afraid to get close to another person, not to mention to build a proper relationship with someone. Realistically speaking, she should be alienated or completely negative towards meeting new people and she should be acting more introvertly, almost hostile, as she would understand the consequences of trusting/caring for another people again.
Also, she had no preparation to be a mother and had absolutely no experience; giving her young age it's just magic she was able to survive months on her own with a baby.
I totally agree with you here, but that's a game, if we think too realistically, Clem, AJ and all children without support would be dead. From the start in this game, the only thing making people go on in this fucked up world, isn't survival alone but family, trust, loved ones, hope for better days. Each season reminds you of that. Clem more than anyone else needs a family to care and feel cared for.
It already did with ANF.
