Okay I took some time, but I was able to compile all my favorite songs from Apocalyptica
All 55 of them.... /0o0\
But luckily, if you don't feel like sitting through the whole playlist (I know I wouldn't) I will take out my top favorite and explain why they're so special to me.
Drive
Whenever I think of TWD this is one of the first songs that comes to my head. It makes me think of an epic car chase.
Somewhere Around Nothing
Whenever it came close to a new episode to be released for A New Frontier I would listen to this song. It never failed to get me hyped for a new episode.
These next few songs make me think of the relationship between Clementine and AJ. How much Clementine misses him and how much she is willing to do and sacrifice to get him back.
Running Love
Faraway Vol. 2
I wish I could've used the original music video, but this video of it had better audio quality.
This song makes me tear up whenever I hear it ; |. And it's instrumental doesn't give less of an impact by much.
Faraway Vol.1 (Instrumental)
Just so I don't take up a page by myself I'm going to break this into a second comment.
Okay. Continuing my previous comment and getting out of the sad territory.
Nothing Else Matters
To cut to the chase, I'm really into this song for this moment. (1:55)
If you're thinking what I'm thinking right now.... OH MY LORD!! :O Clem The Badass.
You know how I said I was done with the sad territory....I Lied XP
Epilogue
What does this make you think of?
To me, the start of this song is the most tear-jerking moment that Telltale's The Walking Dead can have.... When Clementine reunites with AJ.
Oh. I'm going to soak my keyboard if I keep this up.
Now for something a little silly...
Bittersweet
This song makes me think of a semi-sad musical number between Gabe and Dr. Linguard. I know it's a bit silly, but I can't think of anything else when this song plays.
Just picture it, after the hole in in Richmond's wall is sealed and everyone comes out to salvage what is left, Dr.Linguard (If you left him alive, of course) and Gabe come together to express their woes and what it is they have left to keep them going... In song.
Dead Man's Eyes
This song is my absolute favorite. Do I need to say why?
Wouldn't this song be fitting if it were a song used in the credit's of a TWD episode?
Ah, I can only cross my fingers it finds it's place somewhere in the next installment.
And for my last of the top favorite...
Fight Against Monsters
If there were a song that could illustrate what happened at the end of the 4th episode in ANF, This would be it.
Just complete all-out war.... And the horns help to bring out that this is happening in a semi-civilized area. Why are the people who are put in charge to govern a large group of people so easy to corrupt in their morals and outlooks on things?
That is the end of my ramblings about music..... For now. And if you actually read to the end of this I commend you on you're perseverance and willingness to listen to what I have been dying to say more months. I hope that Telltale could read this and to take some of these thoughts into consideration. It wouldn't just make my day, It would make the rest of my life if any of this was even seen by them.
And if you want to find the whole playlist of the Apocalyptica music the last video link holds in the whole thing. Just click the forward button and the video should reset to the first song in the playlist.
Personally, I like classical music to listen to while I'm listing things...
Sometimes if I'm writing a really long list I start to get anxious about how much I have to list and I like to play quiet, calm natural sounds (E.g: rain-forest, birds) to calm myself down...
No. It isn't silly. Apocalyptica may have a lot of highly intense music in their repertoire, but I do also really like the music they make that that is quiet. It helps me to think.
"Birth Pain" is one I come back to. #53 in my playlist
I few other ones are "Psalm" (#53) And another big favorite..... Lullaby (#35)
As well as "Conclusion" (#17) And ...... Epilogue (#30) ;( But you get the point.
All I'm saying is that it's good to have this type of music to help keep you calm and collected. Who the hell can do that while they listen to Dragonforce - "Through The Fire and Flames" ?

No, I wasn't talking about listening to calm music being silly, the joke was the listing part because the thread is titled "What music do you like listing to?"

Oh. Sorry. The joke was hard to pickup on. And I didn't notice the spelling mistake till now. It sucks that my brain is trained to overlook those things.

Wow, now this should be an interesting topic. There's some much stuff I listen to these days that It's probably not worth the trouble writing down a [huge] list of bands/artists here (probably won't fit into a single post anyway).I've always loved Metal and Rock and roll, even picked up electric guitar and drums for a while [currently I play electric bass].There's this small venue in our town that hosts local underground metal gigs every now and then, nothing quite like getting a bit of steam off with some live music, it really makes you feel alive. Also I've started getting into Jazz, Blues, Classical and Electonic music as of late, and what a wonderful journey it has been so far!
If I had to pick a few favorite bands it would probably be :
I like a bit of everything but I mainly listen to indie-folk and I suppose pop-folk
My favourite bands/Musicians:
The White Stripes, M… moreumford & Sons, Fever Ray, Bright Eyes/Connor Oberst, First Aid Kit, Arctic Monkeys, Of Monsters and Men, Green Day, M83
Woah. I thought this thread would never come back.... It's been completely dead for so long.
I used to listen to the the music I posted above every day. Now, only on occasion. Pretty much, I'm with @Melton23 and I listen to anything that pops up on my google play and spotify accounts. Whenever I feel like amping myself up for something I put on Ragga Bomb -Skrillex. Also, because it reminds me of my favorite character in Overwatch. . Every now and then I start listening to some Adam Lambert albums because it brings me back to when I was younger. Like Never Close Your Eyes, it brings back to a forth of July where we had a severe storm that caused many roads to become flooded in the city we went to for the fireworks. Sadly, there were no fireworks that day -_-. But I remember listening to this song on my ipod in our minivan while the downpour made it hard to look out the windows. At least, before the storm came and it was still sunny outside, we heard thunder and saw lightning crack from the clouds as they quickly approached us. I count that as nature's version of fireworks.

I still prefer Metallica's original version more, but I do love Apocalyptica's cover of Nothing Else Matters. Even Metallica has used that version in their "Thank you" videos that they have been making for every stop on their NA tour this year.
While I'm not in the video, you can see my car, which I was in, at 1:26 (it's the blue Ford Edge with the bumper stickers).

Foreigner and Journey. (NOT THE NEW VERSIONS!) Also Tom Jones, Bon Jovi, Awesome Mix Vol. 1 & 2 (from Guardians of the Galaxy), and an assortment of movie soundtracks by Michael Giacchino (such as Star Trek reboots, Rogue One, and Incredibles) and Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, and Dunkirk).
Classic 70s and 80s rock and techno; including The Eagles, Duran Duran, Huey Lewis and The News, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Depeche Mode, Jimmy Buffet, Dire Straits, and Van Halen, to name a few. Also listen to Metallica, Zac Brown Band, and Craig Morgan.

Life is full of surprises.
go heavy metal
I like a lot of classic rock and some pop.
I listen to everything, but it depends on what kind of mood I'm in.
If I'm writing, I tend to listen to: Indie Rock, R&B, and Hard Rock
If I'm just relaxing, I listen to: Hip-Hop, Pop, and Metal

Whew, that was a mouthful. I love music!
Someone actually shares my taste in music?
Everyday is a school day I guess.
