How is This Still Not Patched?

Seriously, how? Telltale knows that the game is almost unplayable for some and outright unplayable for others and it has been since it released months ago and yet they still continue to sell it on their store while showing absolutely no signs of making the slightest attempt at fixing their version of the game I really would like some kind of logical reason as to why it's still not received the performance patch the Steam version of the game got months ago.

They did patch it, the patch just didn't work lol.

  • I posted a thread about this myself. Thought maybe I was going crazy because no one else had mentioned it. The response from support was "We'll let you know when it's patched. Try installing new drivers."

I asked for a Steam code if they couldn't provide a patch on their own file. Normally not something I'd do, but if you can't fix the version of the game I have, I think it's reasonable to request a version that is working. No response to that inquiry.

  • I have the same problem. I played the first episode, which is free, on steam. Everything worked fine, so I decided to buy the game. I thought I bought a steam key, but it was a redeem code for the Telltale website. Well, every time I try to start the game, it immediately crashes! How can the version from steam work without any problems, and the one downloaded from their own website be the exact opposite?
I've send them a request on how this could be possible and if there's a way of getting my game to work, but that is now 10 days ago and I've got still no response. Do they always take a long time to respond?

  • Took about two weeks for me to get a response. Well, to be fair, one week for them to tell me to run the PC support Tool, which took 30 seconds, and another week for them to respond "You meet the requirements. We'll tell you when the patch goes up. Install new drivers."

  • Been about two months and still haven't heard a thing on this. Anyone else have it working yet?

  • Nope, still the same. I received a reply to my mail like 1,5 months later, saying I don't meet the system requirements and that I should buy a new/better PC if I wanted to play the game. Because my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirement I tested it first with the free episode on Steam, and that worked like a charm. No problems whatsoever. I replied back that I wasn't satisfied with that answer she gave me, because it didn't explain all the trouble I've gotten with their store version. Still no reply on that, already taking a month now.
And the latest walking dead game also works perfectly fine, and that one is made with the same engine I believe. If what she said was true about my laptop, I wouldn't be able to play that game as well. I guess they just don't want to help us...

  • Hello, same for me here. Bought the game in july 2017, Patch 7 and I have low fps, the mouse lag terribly even in the menus, dialog sync problem, etc.

  • This is sad...there should be a note beside every TTG....buy it off STEAM...because we have horrid customer relations.

  • Yup, it does lag sometimes.. even though I have the least required pc spec..

Seriously it's awful it took them over a month to reply to my email and it still looked like some random automated response The game runs awful even with a GTX 970, 16gb of ram and an I7 2600k even though the game still uses the same engine as their other games. I can only describe their version of the game as a scam as at this point they blatantly know that it doesn't work right and they continue to sell it without informing anyone that it hasn't received the patch that they pushed to the Steam version back when it was released

Get a console. Although way less powerful, it never has problems with any games. (If you do not mind 30fps, that is.)

They don't make money with a patch. Therefore patches are useless. Once you've purchased the game:
