Local Save import from season 1?

Did anyone managed to import save file from season 1 locally? I have both seasons on PC and only have an option to recreate a save file. Cloud service is shit and cannot see my save file either. So how to import your save locally (like in minecraft season 2)? Anyone knows?

  • I believe there's an option in Extras to import from your Telltale account? I could be wrong.

  • It is there, but for me it says that save file is not found, although i have a cloud save enabled in my season 1

  • The same thing was happening to me, but it was from my PC to PS4. The point is that I had cloud saving enabled, but yet it couldn't find my save file.

  • okay found a solution. If you played season 1 on PC and season 2 cannot find your saves locally, go to username/documents/Telltale games and have a foulder with season 1 files named exactly "Batman The Telltale Series". Then season 2 will find your saves. For me the foulder was named "Batman Series" for some reasons and the game could not find my saves.

  • Nope, waiting to hear back from Telltale support as we speak. I just ended up recreating my choices.

I speculate that the cross-platform Season Save transfer was only included for New Frontier, as other games like Batman and Minecraft do not have "save upload" options on your Telltale profile.

EDIT: I was wrong, Telltale Support says this should be supported. https://telltale.com/support/article/bat2-save-import/

So, yeah, I'd wait and see what Support says.

  • What Telltale should do is exactly what they did with S2 and ANF, allow us to upload the save files through the website. They're going to have to do it for TWAU S2 as I don't remember that game having cloud saving, so they might as well do it for their other games as well. The way they're doing it now doesn't seem to be all that effective.

  • This worked for me, thanks.

But I shouldn't have had to do this though.
