Will there actually be a main villain other?

From what I've seen, Telltale changes villain every episode. I hope that does not happen.

Before you tell me Joker is a villain. No, he's not, at least not till episode 4

Joker is a villain, but John isn't.

You got this from the one episode that just came out?

  • From the placeholder screens. Since Riddler is dead, it's obvious he's not going to appear again. Wouldn't that be "changing villains"? Episode 4 I see John, possibly another villain change. That's not something I'd want to see.

  • It's obvious with the set up by the Riddler and John Doe that The Pact are going to be the true villains of the second season. Even if it wasn't the case, how about we all just wait for the following episodes to release before saying something.

  • It was the same in season one with Falcone. He and Riddler are just start-up villains, whose purpose is to prepare and introduce Batman to the main conflict of the story.
Don't worry, John Doe is definitely gonna be one of the main antagonists for more than one episode.

  • Why do I have a feeling Riddler will be a more compelling villain than the rest combined?

  • The closest to an appearance by the upcoming villains is literally just low resolution concept art put into the end of Episode 1 and the preview slide for Episode 2. Give them a chance.

  • Telltale doesn't change villains every episode, they just have a handful of them last season they like to juggle.
The main baddie in season 1 was mostly Oswald from Ep2-3, mixed with the children of Arkham.. then it became Lady Arkham for Ep3-5

"The Pact" is who we'll be facing now. They're gonna terrorise the city and we've got to stop them.

Also the Agency could be considered an "Antagonist" as well, depending on your standing with them.

  • I definitely will give them a chance, heck I would love for them to be better than Riddler. But Telltale have a tough job in my opinion.

The Joker will be great as usual though.

  • I think whoever that figure is in the illustration for episode 5 is going to be the actual main villain of this season, so take your guess who it'll be (Joker, Harley, Bane...).

  • Too small for bane. In 100% sure that's joker due to the title and final achievement

  • Do we want a single established villain?

I prefer it when there are several antagonists that affect the plot in different ways, as I often find that the dynamics between themselves and the rest of the cast make the story richer. Theoretically, anyway.

  • Well depends on the story I guess...if this is a story of how Waller gets her Suicide Squad...I wonder if there will be a Suicide Squad game?

I wouldn't have much faith in the game being any better than the film. I only liked it because it featured an all-villain cast and the live-action film debut of Harley Quinn. It offered nothing more.

  • I still have not seen Suicide Squad.

  • Well, one things is sure: John Doe aka Joker is going to be one in the future.

As for other main villains, it's safe to say Harley Quinn, Bane, and Hugo Strange might be the other villains.

Well judging by this video, where Ryan Weller and John/Joker voice actor plays Batman S2 and disscus John Doe/Joker, they clearly say in this video that he might not even become a villian, it's gonna depend on the player's choice!

  • It's probably going to be akin to the Harvey/Two-Face situation. John Doe will become Joker no matter what.
