Bad News: The Batman Solo Movie Will Not Be Part of the DCEU. (EDIT: False alarm)
Welp, that sucks. It would suck even much more if Affleck isn't playing Batman in that movie. He is one of the best portrayals of Batman.

Well that's annoying but not surprising. I mean it's been obvious that they're just rushing to make a justice league movie ever since they decided to just do Batman VS Superman before giving Batman his own movie. Super disappointing but at least they're still doing a Batman movie.
What's more annoying is that it might be 90% possible that Ben Affleck won't play Batman for that movie.
That would also be quiet frustrating. It's also quite possible that Affleck won't be playing Batman as Jared Leto apparently isn't playing Joker in the Joker stand alone movie and that's not connected to the DCEU either.
Their best cast of choice, in my opinion, is Anthony Ingruber for the Joker.
This entire franchise is beyond a joke. After the standalone Joker movie announcement, it's clear this entire series is being fumbled around with by out of touch execs. They have no idea what people actually want. Doesn't bother me anyway, I stopped watching their shitty movies a while ago.
But I heard that Wonder Woman movie was pretty good.
It doesn't bother me that Batman solo isn't canon to DCEU. What bothers me is that Ben Affleck won't play Batman for the solo movie. I think this is a thing DCEU should have done before Batman v Superman.

Jesus Christ, DC seems to have no idea what they are doing. We're going to make a DC universe to catch up with Marvel, but THIS movie wont be part of it, and now we may switch out the current actor playing Batman, and then after that we are going to make more DC universe movies with Ben Affleck again.
After Wonder Woman I was really starting to think DC finally figured out the formula they wanted and needed for the DCEU, but now I guess they are showing they dont know what they are doing again...
I'm pretty sure all of you are misinterpreting what's actually being said, I'm pretty sure he means that his Batman movie won't have to plant plot threads for other DC films or have lots easter eggs to show "Hey look, we're a connected movie universe!" He means more that that his movie is going to be about just Batman and only him.
Not to mention this interview he had was a couple days before SDCC, which also showed The Batman as part of it's lineup of DC films in the DCEU.
One more thing GOTG Vol. 2 went through the same thing as this, and as it turned out, it was part of the MCU, just a stand-alone story.
Thats not bad news for me since the DCEU hasn't been great so far wit hthe exception of WW and Affleck as Batman.
Only DC movie that I've enjoyed lately has been Wonder Woman.

For DCEU news, I watch Jaeroar. For tv, emergency awesome and for games I have different channels for different games. For example I watch YongYea so I'm updated with any new regarding death stranding and valve news network so I'm updated with valve games. If you want updates on games and movies, reddit is definitely much better than youtube.
I mean freaking Martin Scorsese is producing, and, well, that name alone got me interested.
Plus, it could lead to a DC Elseworlds series, which would absolutely fantastic. Without the burden of forcing the storyline to be in a wider world, it could mean we get stories that would never otherwise go on screen with potentially better actors and screenwriters. I would not mind seeing Gotham by Gaslight, Kingdom Come, or most tantalizing, Superman: Red Son (Russian Batman is the shit).
Of course, if it fails, well, damn.
I really, really hope Joss Whedon saves Justice League. Then we can talk about the future...
Eh, I'm not saying there's no chance of it being good, but they're just throwing shit at the wall waiting for something to stick. No one asked for this movie. People asked for a solo Batman movie with Affleck based in the DCEU, which isn't happening anymore. I'll see how the reviews are, but I gave the franchise 3 chances and 3 times it disappointed. Consider me out ¯_(ツ)_/¯
