What do you expect from Cats in episode three?

  • That's what rubs me the wrong way about the last exchange between her and Bruce, the way she acts, so aloof, I know it's a front but that says a lot about her character.
If definitely did not make me want to confort her but I did anyway because the truth is that, yes, she is more than a souless thief.

  • I don't think Batman would Hire her, or anyone for that matter. I rather sweet talk her into being useful.

I agree, she could make for a great ally. Maybe he just needs to hire her?

  • I decided not to engage her because it could only make things more problematic. Bruce doesn't seem to have a problem with women when being Bruce, but with Batman it's a different story and he would be putting too much at risk due to his emotions.
Plus, I like my Batmen like I like my stories, miserable.

  • It's likely that the Agency finds a way to put their hook on Selina. After all, if they figured out Bruce they won't take too long to figure out Selina, you know, maybe due to the fact that her face is completely uncovered. Plus, the agency has a history of putting villains under their thumb for their benefit (cough suicide squad cough).

  • It was just a mask she was putting on herself so that she wouldn't disclose herself being emotional about that whole thing. Truth is Selina is attracted to Bruce, and she did say that the whole lying was just "at first".
I felt betrayed over her using Bruce and Harvey, but ended up telling her she is more than a thief. Basically I went off in good terms with her (and no romance) because I want her to be useful later on.

  • In the comics and other-games we can see Batman having this crush with catwoman, and it has gotten to the point of kissing as far as I know, but then Batman refuses further interaction.

They often sleep together in the comics. They even got married and had a child in an alternate timeline. Out of all the recurring romantic interests for Batman, I'm pretty sure Selina is the one that shows up more often (seems to be the tendency in modern iterations like the Christian Bale trilogy and the Gotham series, too).

I tried to make my approach as most Batman-like as possible. In the comics and other-games we can see Batman having this crush with catwo

  • She didn't seem to have a public criminal record, otherwise Harvey probably wouldn't have been dating her or not have any inkling she was really Catwoman. Her identity was still basically a secret by the end of the first season.

I also don't think Bruce was ever able to dig up anything more on her other then what she alluded too during conversations.

  • Having a romantic affair as Batman is extremely dangerous. Hasn't the story with Selina taught you this? While fighting crime, you need to keep a sober mind. Even if you find a nice girl, there's still a possibility she could be killed and leave you heartbroken. No, Batman is better off alone.

  • Very possible.

It would be interesting to see Catwoman working with the Agency, albeit under duress, if it means we get to partner up with her again.

That's the only way I can see the two of them working together again if you parted ways with her on very bad terms. There is very little reason they would even willfully face each other again otherwise.

Unless Telltale have two radically different paths : one where you work alongside her (if you went along with her desperate need for validation at the beginning of episode 5) and one where you face her as your enemy. I'm sure this would be very complicated to write different versions of many scenes, not to mention Telltale have a new relationship system in place. The amount of variables they would need to account for is astonishing, a writer's nightmare.

The best way to deal with this conundrum is to craft scenes where the two have to work together regardless of their status. The narrative can easily weave those two, like "ok we are forced to work together, we will settle our accounts afterwards".

    Just my two cents obviously.

  • Bruce is very reserved and keeps most things close to his chest for much of the game. It would have been nice to have been able to continue that, for him to protect himself and his feelings more. A silent option, as you suggested, would have been welcome.

  • Ewwww. Yes. Yes, you are. Bruce says (in the codex) that he is not Thomas Wayne's son, but Alfred's. Not a fan of this (sort of) incest. Plus I like my Bruce Cisgender and straight.
