What's your opinion on the Stephen king IT Reboot ?
Since we all know in love that (Tim Curry) the original pennywise that brought our childhood in chills with a tint of humor back at the 90's however some fans of Stephen king were disappointed about the killer demonic clowns true form in which he was a SPIDER...I mean sure I can understand arachnophobia but that's not the what I'm talking about here.
What I am talking about is the reboot of the the original film and it looks sinister if you seen any of the Trailers...Tim Curry was just a perfect touch as the character but for this upcoming movie I'm not so sure.
What is your opinion about the Stephen kings IT Reboot let me know in the comments bellow.

I think that it may not be that good. Sure it will definitely be creepy but I don't think it will be as good as the original. It is advertised way too much. to me this is a sign of a bad film. I think that because if they advertise it all the time then people will get hyped and go to watch the movie on the opening weekend to earn as much money as possible before people can say that it is isn't as good as the original and recommend others to not watch it. I could be wrong though. I hope I explained what I was thinking clearly...
looks like absolute shit and i'm excited about that.
I'm old enough to have watched the original when it debuted on tv. I'm willing to give the new movie a chance.
Everyone's been giving it nothing but praise in the early reviews. Some reviews siting it as one of the best Stephen King adaptions, considering the original audiobooks length ranges to 40 hours. The marketing scheme in the UK hasn't been big either, normally you can tell a blockbuster will be bad if their adverts are constant. The new Luc Besson film had one of most criminal advertising campaigns going for it, I felt like I saw the whole movie with the way it was so elongated. The marketing campaign for IT in the UK has enough for only a quote in the commercials, not showing anything. That to me signals something that is worth the hype.
The film being a two-part series like the book sounds canon to the novel too. I think it will surpass the original.
EDIT: Just came back from seeing it and I really enjoyed it, it surpassed my expectations. All the unnecessary portions of the novel was cut out. Bill Skarsgard gave a unique performance as Pennywise, I really liked the way he used his voice, very creepy. The film was great at making me relate to The Losers and it really effected me. It makes me excited for Stranger Things S2 now that its very close. I hope the Duffer Brothers help produce the sequel, it would be interesting to see their contribution as their works are very similar. The most famous scene from the mini series doesn't hold back in the film which was awesome to see.
The original is indeed kind of funny, intended or not.
Problem with horror movies that take themselves too seriously, is that if they are bad, it's hard to go like "Well, at least it was funny."
There are plenty of "comedic" horror movies that were intended to be "serious."
I too saw IT when it debuted on TV. It's different seeing it when you're young. It wasn't funny back then. Spoilers. I think it's one of the first movies I saw where someone committed suicide for one thing. II'm all for the remake. Go for it. I can give them a list of other King films that could use one too. Start with The Stand.
Aww. I loved Molly Ringwald in The Stand.
I initially had no interest in seeing it, but if the early reviews are to be believed, then I think my mind has been changed.
It was a decent movie. Definitely a great cast. But it's VERY dated. It was dated when it came out.
I shall form an opinion after seeing it.
No way it will be better than the original.
I just saw it. Never watched the original, but damn, this movie was really great. Definitely amongst my favourite movies of all time.
As someone who loved the original I much prefer this one
I just saw it. Wasn't bad. Definitely had its flaws, but was still relatively entertaining and miles better than the 1990 version.
I just see It , great movie way better then the original IMO
I tried getting in but they asked for ID and I didn't have any, but at least they asked before I actually bought a ticket.
So instead that night me and my cousin watched the original and I like the original (well only really the parts with the kids).
I saw one scene from the new movie that was leaked and holy shit it's brutal I felt like crying. Now all my friends at school are gonna think I'm a p**y for not seeing it but they actually I tried to get in and they probably just snuck past *eyeroll
