(Season 1) Did Lady Arkham really kill them?

When you go to Lady Arkham's house you see the crime scene where her adoptive parents were brutally murdered.
While solving the crime scene, even if you connect all the correct dots, some things don't seem to completely add up for Batman (can't remember all of them though), such as Motive (Batman even asked himself "why now?").
There's also a visible glitch in the sequence where Lady Arkham's hologram is killing her hologram-mother. Could that have been the Bat Tech hacking, or could that been the bat computer telling us that's wrong killer?

Could it be that it wasn't Vicki, but the young boy that killed his adoptive parents?

  • No, it's most definitely Vicki. You are way overthinking this.

There's no way it wasn't Vicki. She had the motive and the means that no one else had. Plus I just cannot imagine the boy having a knife fight with a grown woman and winning, then climbing over her and gauging her eyes out, then beating a grown man with a belt and hanging him with it.

  • Well I don't see how Vicki does it either. The game never says she had martial arts training or whatsoever but she could overpower Batman. This universe isn't realistic bro. That boy could very well be the killer

  • The game never says what training Batman had either.

  • But we all know Batman is a trained fighter. But who expected Vicki to fight

But we saw Vicki/Lady Arkham (without her mask on, right?) fight Bats at the asylum. We fought with her twice. She told us she was LA. What more proof do you need that she had martial arts training? We also are not told where/when Cats learned to fight but we see her do it. Sooo... not understanding where your suspicions are coming from.

  • How do we know he is? We don't, we just assume that he is. It isn't that hard to do the same with Vicki.

  • The mother had a lethal dose of the drug Vicky was using on people injected on her. Vicky's hair was in the crime scene. We discover Vicky's motive when we find the dungeon.

The bat tech that makes the holograms only make them to illustrate Bruce's deductions. Hacking it wouldn't change Bruce's conclusion because it doesn't form the images without Bruce's input. You can see that by observing how they change while Bruce makes his deductions, but they do not show him anything new.

  • Ok fellow Nerds...listen up. It was definitely Vicki that killed them.

Now there is a fair amount of information that is not given to the playa that causes some to question things.

    1. Where did Vicki get her tech?
    2. Where did Vicki get her training?

Those 2 questions are sorta mysterious until you think about the stated goals of The Children of Arkham....first it was about opening the average Gothamite's eyes to the fact that the city's biggest names are as corrupt and despicable as any local drug dealer. Driving home the point that the city is built on lies and murder. Second...Gotham is to be punished...the chemical used to drive people insane(Thank you Batman Begins plot point). These goals are in line with an Ancient society that believes in wrecking things that have become so corrupt as to become an example for the world as to what not to do.

The League of Shadows. It fits the profile and I would not be shocked if we see them again.

  • Why would we see anyone other than Penguin? The villains are called The Pact after all lol.

  • It totally makes sense that LA got her training and tech from the LoS, but not necessarily that the LoS would be behind the new batch of villians for season two. I don't expect LA to be back for this season. Plus they have way too many villains already planned for season two. I mean, you had the Riddler and Joker. We are expecting Hugo Strange and HQ and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. Plus Cats is coming back in episode three.

On the other hand.... Although, given that LA (possibly) knows Bats' identity it could create an interesting wrinkle. Plus, it's entirely possible that LA knows HQ. So maybe LA is part of the pact? But do they believe her? In which case, sure, we'll see the LoS in season two.

  • Oh yeah I did not mean to imply they are behind the season 2 plot....but if they do a season 3 or 4...we could very well see them back.

  • I would absolutely buy (at least) season three based on how the game is going so far. In which case, I'd love to see the return of LA. I like recurring characters. They should bring Two Face back, too.
