Interesting choice. Most people, if they were to go with a Metallica album, would usually say either Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets. Death, while also one of my favorites from the band and regarded by many as a return to form, is usually not considered the best Metallica album, especially since the production of it is less than stellar and how phenomenal their 80's material was.
In no particular order:
5.The Art of War by Sabaton
4.Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold
3.Powerslave by Iron Maiden
2.Rust in Peace by Megadeth

4. The Stage by Avenged Sevenfold
5. As Daylight Dies by Killswitch Engage
Honorable mentions to Jomsviking by Amon Amarth, Clayman by In Flames, and The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem
Well, after Load and Reload shit, they release even far worse St.Anger, so when they dropped Death Magnetic, it was kind of rejuvenating.
Yeah, some people may argue that album was ruined by producer Rick Rubin and his obsession with loudness war but I think that without him Metallica wouldn't put out that good album. He resurrected so many artists(Red Hot Chilli Papers,Johnny Cash,System of a Down and more) and bands by his guidance.
Not only that, it also includes one of my favorite songs by them like Suicide&Redemption, All Nightmare Long, Day that Never Comes...
I am interested in your ranking of all Metallica albums, can you?
I have to agree with David Bowie´s statement that Lorde is new hope to rise descending quality of nowadays pop music. Melodrama is really good and I normally dont listen to pop!
All of it at NO.1? You cant put Eminem at the same level with Kanye
Melodrama totally blew me away when I first heard the whole album. Lorde definitely saved 2017.

The Ramones - Pleasant Dreams (1981)
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols (1977)
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (1984)
Talking Heads - Little Creatures (1985)
a-ha - The Definitive Singles Collection (1984–2004)
Why certainly:
9.Load: If they cut about half of the songs on this album out entirely, this would be a pretty great record. A bigger change than The Black Album, but a lot of these songs actually sound really good, it just gets dragged down because we expected different (or more of the same) from Metallica. Until It Sleeps, Hero Of The Day, Bleeding Me are all terrific songs, but the album gets incredibly repetitive in the second half and ruins it.
The infamous green version of Ride The Lightning.
ye boi. classic stuff.
Man, you sure do like good music Thanks for your walkthrough.
I wouldn't say I hate St.Anger, more like don't enjoy listening to it because they lost identity with trying garage metal but credits for this mistake goes to Bob Rock.
Let's just hope Hardwire isn't their last album because it wasn't as good as I had imagined.
Btw did you see their performance with Lady Gaga? It was surprisingly stunning. Would you like them to work with her in the future because I sure would like that.
When I think about it I kinda do agree since my favorite bands fucked up like imagine dragons, linkin park, thirty seconds to mars,Kesha...
How come I haven't heard about it? Why is it infamous
So much old stuff. Nice!
when Ride the Lightning was first released in 1984, there was a misprint of the cover, and it was green instead of blue.
they are very rare, but i think you can still get them, i'm not sure honestly.
It was a really good performance, despite the technical issues surrounding James and his microphone (for which he was rightly pissed off about, but kudos to him for playing in spite of it). Lady Gaga has always been one of the few pop artists I have respect for. I don't listen to her music religiously, but there's no denying the talent she has as not only a performer, but as a singer who has done work with a lot of different genres, she's very versatile. Considering some of Metallica's other team ups (Lou Reed, Lang Lang), working with Lady Gaga turned out to be one of their best ones. I wouldn't mind seeing a collaboration, but James has pretty much shut the door on that. However, Anthrax expressed interest in working with her on an album, maybe something will happen with that.
I numbered them from 5-1lol I don't know why they're all number 1.
david byrne is a god.
Thanks for clarification
