    Maybe, maybe not.

Job has a way of twisting his words.... it could be a trap! :smirk:
I mean, sure it'd be cool. But Telltale has a lot on their plate right now so I'm not expecting much of this for a while.

EDIT: Well, Telltale only has two games starting up next year, so there is a possibility for a third... But we have no clue if there'll even be a third series.

I'll just let this rest as "unconfirmed, most likely just opening up a possibility for it."

Keep in mind that the Summer 2017 Update probably wasn't announcing everything they have coming out in 2018 - the Summer 2017 Update seemed to be focused exclusively on Comic Book related games because the Summer 2017 Update was during Comic Con.

Telltale usually does 3-4 projects a year, so it's very much a possiblity more is coming in 2018 besides Walking Dead Season 4 and Wolf Among Us Season 2.

  • The idea of a company like Telltale working with somebody as infinitely talented and skilled as Neill mother fucking Blomkamp excites me so.

  • No kidding - if Telltale gets to make a District-9 inspired Telltale game, that would legit be amazing

  • A Telltale game made in collaboration with Neill Blomkamp? Sign me the fuck up!

  • As long as Neill's directly involved that is. I love Telltale but I wouldn't ever trust them for a second to handle that kind of source material on their own. Neill definitely needs to be a big part and to be honest I don't see how that hypothetical game could possibly be bad if he's involved. Even his more average films have a lot of fantastic shit in them.

  • District 9 was amazing....if they worked together.....man....my panties are wet.

  • This is really interesting, we have had teasers like this before and it did turn out to be a game announcement.

New York Comic Con is coming up in early October (5th-8th) so i wonder if we will get a teaser just before or even during the convention so they can talk about it there.

  • Sorry guys, Neil Blomkamp hasn't done anything worthwhile since District 9.

    Wouldn't get my hopes up.

  • District 9 wasn't even that great sorry. Good but by no means game good. Next they can make a telltale: space jam game

Could be another publishing deal. I'm interested in the idea of another telltale series, but...

  • Well the Oats Studios stuff is up on YouTube if you want to watch them.

  • Well District 9 was good but Chappie was fecking awful.

So I don't know what to make of this really XD Can't be much worse than what is currently on offer.

  • Check out Oats Studios to see his latest short films.

I'd recommend Zygote the most. It has my favourite creature design out of all the others.

  • People seem exited if whatever this is would be possible. What is this? Is it some kind of TV show? I’ve never heard of it.

  • Chappie was pretty solid though, and some of his short films are really good too.

  • District 9 is a 2009 sci-fi/thriller film about aliens on earth, and that is all I wish to say because spoiling District 9 is a fuckin crime. It's filled to the brim with brilliant and subtle social commentary, excellent acting, mind blowing special effects and a really solid story. I recommend you watch it. While the director's other works are very good as well, none of them even come close to District 9. It's up there with my favorite films of all time.

I originally thought this could potentially be a publishing deal too, but...

  • Crappie was watered down pretentious garbage for me.

If that's the kind of Neil we're going to get, I'm staying away from this collaboration.

  • I very heavily disagree with that, but I understand where you're coming from. I'm sorry you couldn't get the same amount of enjoyment out of the film as I could.
